Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Grand Walk-In Kitchen:

We bought this as a present for my daughter for her 1st birthday! I am actually surprised by how much she uses it already for being so young. We've had it set up for a couple weeks now and she loves it. She doesn't quite get "cooking" on it but loves the sound effects, likes opening and closing all the doors and picking up and dumping the food from the baskets. Yesterday morning she played in there for an hour by herself! My 4 1/2 year old son loves it too. He gets how everything works of course and ikes pretending its a restaurant. He cooks while one of us sits on the stool at the open bar area and he hands the food out to us. It's definitely sturdy! He weighs about 30 pounds and more than once I've caught him standing on the bar and the stool will even hold me or my husband.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Grand Walk-In Kitchen:

Did a bunch of research, read reviews about the competitors, wanted a "high-end" kitchen with lots of gadgets and things to do for my 2 boys (both under age 3). This kitchen looked great so I bought it, put it together with a friend in 30 mins, and the boys love it. Lots of accessories, and things to do. Needs a bunch of batteries but what gadget oriented toy doesn't these days.

I bought this kitchen for my 16 month old daughter, and right away she loved it. The kitchen has easily grown with her, keeping up with her interests and abilities as she grows. It has a lot of storage, and the accessories that come with it are attractive and fun. On the parent end, it was easy to assemble, promotes healthy eating, and is a nice addition to a playroom.

Its great, my 2yr old loves it. She plays in it everyday for hours.

Service & Delivery comments:

The only things I didn't like were the cabinets, they need to be deeper. Also if providing space for drawers or boxes make them a little bigger, I gave her some tupper ware for her veggies, but they don't fit. The fridge has no ridge to stop the food from coming out.

Great to get involved with your kids and "play kitchen". She does like to climb on the kitchen sometimes but small children will find things to climb on anywhere. I just remind her that it's not safe and she usually is good about it.

It's wonderful to play "kitchen" with my two year old. When it's my turn to be the cook she will say "Excuse me ma'am, can I have some ice cream?". How cute! It is very durrable as is everything I buy from Step2. Love your products! I do have to remind her not to climb on the kitchen but every small child is going to want to explore and climb on what they can. I understand that and don't really see that as a con.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Grand Walk-In Kitchen:

I agonized over buying this kitchen or the whole set from Pottery Barn kids, which is much, much more expensive. I decided on this one for my 20 month daughter. It is very nice but I wish it had deeper cabinets. They only fit the tiniest dishes. The stove burner has great sound, but the microwave and phone are pathetic. [...] The replacements sounded the same. I also wish the sink had a removable liner. EVERY kid wants to dump liquid in the sink. It would make clean up so much easier. Initially, I didn't see what the big deal was about the fake wood floor, but since the kids are always pouring beverages and spilling all over the place, the fake floor really protects my carpet. I'm really glad they added that design feature and you will, too.

We purchased this kitchen a year ago for our 3 yr old son and 2 yr old daughter and they still love it and we have never had any problems with it. They love it as much today as they did the day they recieved it as do their friends and cousins. I read some other reviews about the refrigerator door falling off, not sure what your child is doing but NONE of the doors or any other peices have ever fallen off or broke. Would definitaly buy this product again!! MUST HAVE!! trust me spend the extra money on this kitchen you won't be disappointed!!

We got this kitchen for our daughter's second b-day, and it's fantastic! At first I thought she might out grow it sooner than other play kitchens since it is a walk-in style, but our son who is 7 still loves to play in it as well. It is definatly worth the money spent!

Service & Delivery comments:

It would be cute for this kitchen to have a light above the sink like the deluxe kitchen features. All the food and accesories that come with it are awesome, however more storage baskets would be great to accomodate all the things.

Super easy to put together, less than an hour by myself. The design is very realistic, which is perfect for my little girl (21 months) who already feels she's past "baby toys" and wants only the "big girl" toys! She plays with this EVERY day and its the only toy that keeps her busy and happy. It is also quite resiliant - my daughter will at times stand up on the breakfast bar area and it hasn't budged. I paired this kitchen up with Melissa & Doug food sets for her to put away and she really loves it. Her big brother (8 years) plays with her in this also. It is very durable, easy to clean and super cute. Would love to see some more interactive features and more storage space in it, stickers also came off of the fridge & oven handles easily. Overall - this is our best toy purchase yet!

My daughter is almost 2 and she loves the Grand Walk in kitchen set. She could play in it for hours. My older neice whos alomost 8 also loved playing with it when she came over to visit recently. Fun for all ages. Girls and Boys. Only thing that I really didn't care for was the design stickers that affix to the top of the kitchen set. They are not very attractive.

Different design stickers for kitchen set. More attractive design such as grape vines......

Product is great. My 18 month old little boy plays with it daily. His dad thought I was crazy when I said that we were getting him this kitchen set for Christmas. However, he now thinks that it was a great gift for him. I wish that the breakfast bar was on the end so that you could push it up against the wall on the back side. Other than that it is great.

My son was thrilled to receive the Grand Walk in Kitchen. He plays with all of the accessories both with the kitchen and away. We especially like the sizzling stove top and microwave sounds.

This toy would have been impossible to put together without a drill. Some of the screw holes were not not there.

I'm not sure if this is a design issue or a quality issue, but the refrigerator door comes off easily and the wall telephone stay on the receiver.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Grand Walk-In Kitchen:

My granddaughter (21 months) LOVES the kitchen. She cooks for us and her stuffed animals. She narrates what she'd doing and does her best to imitate her mother and me.

The set has all the appliances in a normal kitchen. The counter space is what sold me on this set over the others. The set doesn't take up much extra space. My granddaughter sits her Elmo on the stool, talks to him while she's cooking and feeds him what she cooks. It is so very much fun to watch.

It was easy to assemble. I did it myself with just a hand screwdriver--it took about an hour. Very easy and clear directions.

I added 3M hooks for an apron, the potholder, cups and for a "shopping bag."

The pots, pans and utensils are very life-like. The cups, plates and bowls are average. I would have liked drinking cups. I agree with the reviewer who stated her child is frustrated that only some of the pots activate the burner. I'd also have like two burners that make noise.

I'm VERY disappointed with the play food. Given the high quality of the other pieces, the food is an amazing letdown. Besides the poor quality, the food selection is suspect--why include chips, fries, cookies and pizza? Wouldn't it be better to include healthy food choices? I would also have appreciated juice and milk cartons for the refrigerator. Rather than quantity, I would rather have quality.

I know my grandchildren will play with this toy for years and have no doubt that it will last.

Incredibly durable and built to last for years. Can have several children standing in the kitchen at once. Very happy with my purchase.

I spend a lot of time in my kitchen, therefore, it just made sense to put my daughter's kitchen (19 months old)in my kitchen. This way I get to see her playing and cook at the same time.
I enjoy this product because it promotes imaginary and pretend play to kids of all ages. I've had nieces and nephews over and they all enjoy the walk-in kitchen!
My daughter enjoys opening and closing the refrigirator, oven, cabinets, and microwave. It's like a real kitchen!
One of the features that's a real success with kids and is different from all other products I was looking into, is the stove top! When you place a pot or pan on top of it, there is a boiling sound with little orange lights! I love it!

It was easy to assemble. It took two of us with one electric screw driver less than 45 minutes to complete the assembly. It comes with a complete set of accessories ie. food and pots. I purchased a set of play food and a set of pots because I was unsure of what the set included and had to return them to the store. The only problem I experienced was that the drawer under the sink did not close properly but this did not bother the grand kids. I highly recommend this toy.

I have 2 girls, ages 6 and 8, and have a home daycare. I bought this as a gift for my daycare for Christmas. It is a HUGE hit with all ages - from my 1 yr old daycare babies to my 8 yr old daughter. They all LOVE it. There is enough room and enough accessories for several children to play at once and it is adorable! I did have to have my husband put all the screws in, as there are no pre-made holes in the plastic. Other than that, the kids helped me build it. We all love it and hope to have many happy years playing kitchen.

This is the most realistic kitchen I have ever seen. Both my 11 month old Granddaughter and my 2 year old Grandson love this! My older teen-age daughters were in awe - they enjoy playing with the little ones with it. The realistic stove is wonderful! It bubbles when the right pan is placed on it and frys when another is placed on it, all the while lighting up like it's really cooking. The microwave sounds and the phone are great as well. It comes with so many cool items the kids didn't know where to start. Assembly was easy - just follow the directions and have the right tools (screw drivers).

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Grand Walk-In Kitchen:

WOW!! This kitchen is WONDERFUL! I have two little girls, a 2 year old and 5 year old. They both LOVE this kitchen! This was a Christmas present which we assembled Christmas Eve once the kids were nestled in their beds, and it only took about 30 minutes with 2 of us putting it together (you will NEED an electric screwdriver). I must say I am very impressed with all of the quality pots, pans and accessories! The kids love it, but a word of caution: My 2 year old was so excited by it that I couldn't get her away from it to open any of her other presents! :) We probably should have covered it up and saved it for last...it's been about a week and she still runs to it first thing in the morning. This is the first toy that keeps her attention and the 5 year old loves it too! It's so great to have something they will play with together. We also got them each a shopping cart which makes it much easier to clean up each day...just throw all the food into the carts and you're all set for the next day!

Service & Delivery comments:

The only thing I would suggest is that it should come with 2 stools instead of just one. If you have more than one child, they will fight over the stool. You can buy more, but two just seems like it should be standard considering the size of this kitchen.

We bought this kitchen for our 2 yr old daughter for Christmas. First, I must say we got a great price as we purchased it online directly from Step 2 on Black Friday [...] She did not come out of the house for almost an hour Chistmas morning! It is everything they say and more. Everything opens and closes and it comes with a good amount of food, dishes, and utensils. I would deffidently recomend this kitchen to others. We purchased an extra stool for friends to play as well and they both fit comfortably at the breakfast bar. Be aware that you need a big open area for this as 3 sides of it are usable and it is as big as it looks in the picture!!!

This was bought as a Christmas present for our three children ages 2, 3, and 5. My wife and I put it together in a little over an hour using only a phillips head screwdriver; though a power drill would have been very useful for the longer screws. Our children forgot all about the other presents they recieved Christmas morning once this was revealed to them. Assembly was very easy and the kids absolutely love it. It seems to be very durable and came with lots of accessories.

I love it that i can clean my house while my daughter plays with her kitchen without thinking that it is going to tip over on her or that she will get hurt. She plays with it every day atleast 2-3 hours a day :) she loves making me and my husband food. I think it also brings us together as a family and we get more family time. Also, i am pregnant with my second child and i know that it will be safe when my child starts to crawl and pull itself up with the kitchen and know that it is safe. And that it is a product that will last and not break, so we will have it until they grow out of it.

It only took an hour for my husband and I to set up. It seems very durable. It is lacking storage. The "cabinet" under the stove is ridiculous. Its not even usable because the depth is only 2 or so inches so nothing will stay in it. There is so much food with this kitchen and I love that, however there is NOWHERE to put it!!! I will have to buy some baskets or something. My daughter loves the kitchen and spends hours in there just playing. Now I just need to get her a maid because I'm already tired of cleaning her kitchen AND mine! ha!

We gave this to my almost 2 year old daughter for Christmas. She absolutely loves it. It's a big hit and I think she'll enjoy it for years to come. It would have been nice to have more lights and sounds, but she seems to think it's great just as is. My only complaint is that I wish the sticker decals came on it. I'm not very good at placing them and they're a little crooked. That's just me though. We love, love this kitchen and can't recommend it highly enough.

I researched play kitchens for several months before deciding on this one. I am so happy with the purchase. I got this kitchen for my 16 month old daughter and she absolutely loves it. It comes with so many accessories such as play food, pots and pans. Even my 6 year old son loves it! I wish I had one of these when I was their age. It is very durable and was easy to set up. I know my kids will get many years of use out of it. I think this kitchen is worth every penny! I love all of the details right down to the hardwood styled flooring. Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Grand Walk-In Kitchen:

I was torn between the Fresh Market by Step 2 and the Grand Walk in Kitchen. I am very pleased with my decision to purchase the Grand Walk in Kitchen. It has ample room for play and extra accessories. Although it is large, it has an open design which allow for illusion of taking up less space. I have it in the living room presently, and will move it to the play room in the spring. I have made the extra counter space into a shopping counter. A cash register sits nicely on the side and allows for this to become a little diner counter or check out for take-out. I can't say enough about this kitchen. [...] I have numerous Step 2 products and have been very pleased with the quality of items [...] by Step 2 company.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Grand Walk-In Kitchen:

Our son LOVES this kitchen!!! So much to play with, and it's so realistic! He's been in it non-stop.

My only complaint about this kitchen would be the assembly. It's straight-forward enough to put together, but it would have been nice if the holes for the screws had been pre-drilled. We only had one drill charged up, so we were constantly switching between the drill bit and the screw-driver bit. Additionally, I'd recommend putting the stickers on before you assemble the kitchen. But these are both minor complaints and weren't worth knocking a star off the rating.

Service & Delivery comments:

Pre-drill the holes for screws and alter the instructions to apply the stickers before assembling.

Santa gave this to our 20 month old daughter for Christmas and it is the best!!! She loves it. When we took her away to eat dinner she cried. In fact, she is playing in it right now as I write this review. I love how gender neutral it is because we have a little one on the way that will get lots of use from it as well. Everyone cannot wait to come over and play with this. It comes with so many accessories you really only need to buy the kitchen. The only thing that isn't great is the storage but otherwise I would recommend everyone to ask Santa for this!!!!

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Grand Walk-In Kitchen:

santa just brought this kitchen and my son (almost 3yrs) loves it! i had researched several kitchens and this appeared to be the best all-around, my only concern was the interior dimensions. (some reviewers said it was too tight inside, and my son is at the top of ht/wt charts for his age.) he has plenty of room though, and honestly there'd be room inside for another child as well. this kitchen is very realistic. the attached bar with stool almost give it a restaurant feel. he already loves taking mommy & daddy's order and has made us several great meals :) the only con we noticed was that the alignment/fit of the parts was off in some areas, but these few gaps are pretty minor. overall, we are very happy!

This was a Christmas gift for my 3 1/2 year old and 16 month old and they both love it! I know someone who has it and every time we go there all 4 kids play with it. There is plenty of space and things to do so they don't fight and all ages seem to enjoy it. I am sure we will get years of use out of it since my youngest was just born this month. Great product and would definitely tell friends to buy it! I am glad we went with this kitchen instead of one of the smaller ones.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Grand Walk-In Kitchen:

I bought this as a Chanuka gift for my 3 year old son and my 8 month old daughter (for when she's older obviously). My son really likes it. It holds his interest which is more than I can say for most of his other toys. It encourages him to use his imagination which is great. I was suprised that it is smaller than I thought it would be, but that is a plus to me. The design is compact so that it includes everything I would expect in a great kitchen, but doesn't take up that much floor space. The only thing I am a little dissapointed in is the food. I wish it were a little more durable. My son has already cracked some by biting it, which of course a 3 year old is going to do. Also, there is not enough storage for all the dishes/accessories. I ended up adding a large plastic bowl as a fruit bowl. Overall we are happy with this purchase and would buy it again.

Service & Delivery comments:

What would make this kitchen perfect: More containers to store the food, some that will fit in the fridge. A sronger plastic for the food. It's pretty flimsy and breakable. More burners for the stove. Sound effects for the sink faucet. A realistic in fridge water dispenser with sound effects. Some sort of hanging pots/pans rack above the stove. Room for the dishes in the cabinets would be gret!

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Grand Walk-In Kitchen:

We bought this for our daughter for her first birthday, and we are very pleased. My husband got it together while I decorated her cake, and he got done first. You will need a drill, though. I don't care for the decorative decals, so I left them off. Even if I used them, there weren't too many stickers to put on. I got everything set up for her quickly, and all the pieces fit in the storage areas.

She just lit up when she saw it. The look on her face was amazing. She didn't know it was hers at first! Then, she was astonished. She played in it for 3 days straight. It was hard to get her out of it to change her diaper or for a nap. One morning, she woke up early and fussed until she got in her kitchen. She still plays in it for at least an hour every day. I am trying to say- she loves it!

The only suggestions I would have (and remember, I am VERY HAPPY with my purchase) would be to make it a little bigger, raise the "ceiling," update the decorations, and put sounds in the sink's faucet.

About 4 of the accessories are chocking hazards, so I put them in the microwave, which she can't open yet.

Thank you, Step 2, for making the floor so nice! The realistic cooking utensils are a real plus too.

I think the grand walk in kitchen is a wonderful product. Love the design. My son is 2 and I watch a couple of toddlers at my home and i am so excited that I finally have an entertaining toy that all three of them can play with at the same time with out any trouble with sharing. It is really great for several children to get involved in dramatic play.

Service & Delivery comments:

I would like to see someplace to actually put all the accessories because the shelving and refrigerator are just not big enough, more storage solutions would be very helpful. The decals that are currently available are ugly but do work well with the overall appearance of the kitchen, just something I wouldn't put in my kitchen at home. I thought the grapes idea was good but see they changed the design. I would love to see Step2 come up with a grocery store type of play set so my kids can do the shopping come home to their little walk in kitchen and get cooking. They have a fresh market but doesn't really resemble a grocery store. Good product!!!

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Grand Walk-In Kitchen:

For the price there should have been more to it. Under the breakfast bar there is nothing. There should have been a cabinet and a dishwasher for example. Small space beside the microwave could have been made a little bigger and made into a spot for the coffee pot (made into coffee machine). The same goes for a small spot under the stove beside a small cabinet maybe a small garbage can or something. My children do love playing with it. I just expected a little more for the price. You see the best part in the pictures and it seems bigger in the pictures than in real life.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Grand Walk-In Kitchen:

I bought this kitchen for my 14 month daughter. We love that the stove makes real noise and the fact that some of the utensils are metal is a plus as well. The food is big enough that she won't choke on anything and there's enough variety to keep her from getting bored.

The walk-in area is a lot smaller than i expected. My daughter fits perfectly in it, but her 4yr old cousin is crowded in there by himself and the icebox isn't big enough to store all the accessories that come with the kitchen.

We simply can't get enough of this kitchen! My husband and I love to sit back and watch her play as she preps and serves the food. It's also a great learning tool. We're able to teach her the names of all the utensils and the different types of foods as well as what foods get paired together for different meals. It's definitely one of the best toy purchases we've made thus far.

Service & Delivery comments:

-Ice box could be larger and more realistic
-Walk-in area could be larger.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Grand Walk-In Kitchen:

I really like this kitchen (as does my 1-yr old daughter), but similar to other users' comments the assembly was not as represented...I had no problem following the directions but at least a dozen holes needed to be drilled, despite the fact that the instructions indicated holes should have already been there. (There were indentations where the holes SHOULD have been but apparently they were missed in production.) Fortunately I had someone who could drill them for me but, if not, what would someone do? Re-package and ship back 2 huge boxes?? I was very frustrated that based on other user comments[...] it seems this has been a problem for quite a while, but Step2 hasn't done anything to remedy the issue.

My daughter loved this kitchen in the store so we bought it 2yrs ago for Christmas. She only played with it a few times then it sat there collecting dust. I wish they would of had more storage space for it. I bought little containers to hold the food in the fridge. I also wish the sink made some sort of sound and it had a light for the sink. It's really cute but I just sold it and bought her the market fresh kitchen. I would really think about this one before you buy it. I wish I would've of listened to the reviews and bought a smaller one. I think she might of played with that more.

This was bought for my 4 year old grandaughter last Christmas, and she has spent hours of time cooking, baking and preparing food in her kitchen during this past year. More surprisingly, it is our not quite 2 year old grandson's favorite plaything. He is in it everyday, sometimes with his older sister, but more happily on his own busy in imaginitive play. We just bought this kitchen as a first birthday gift for our one year old twin grandson and granddaughter, and hope they have as much enjoyment from it as their cousins do.

This kitchen has been played with every day for 2 years now. It is the first place where all kids go when they come for play dates. There are so many fun learning possibilities with this kitchen. Our favorite is opportunity for pretend play (e.g. cooking, cleaning, cooking show, coffee bar, restaurant). My girls love to put a blanket over the roof and play ice cream truck over the counter. The kitchen came with tons of food which was great for learning food vocab and learning to categorize when they were younger. (We removed junk food so as not to encourage it. And, we had to remove some food items for fear thet they were choking hazards.) I also love that the colors are nuetral and not primary as it blends perfectly with our house. Thank you step 2.

Being the mother of a precocious eighteen-month-old little girl, I'm always looking for toys that will foster her tremendous imaginative play. I've researched numerous play kitchens and it is my opinion that the LifeStyle Grand Walk-in Kitchen is by far the best one available. Not only does it provide numerous accessories, but it also gives that real-life experience for small children who want to be just like their mommy – opening cabinets, opening the oven, pressing buttons… We love this play kitchen and we couldn't be more happy with our purchase.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Grand Walk-In Kitchen:

My three yr old uses it every day. The food assortment and many features make it very attractive for creative play. We added a table and chairs so she can serve the food she "makes" and a grocery cart as well. This is an awesome gift. We did replace the floor because she accidentally stepped on one of the utensils and it cut into the floor. FYI, the floor is soft, not hard. Not a big deal. Still LOVE it!

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Grand Walk-In Kitchen:

My 18 month old daughter received this toy as an "early" Christmas present. It was fairly easy to put together but I needed to use the drill as some of the "pre drilled holes" were not drilled at all. It was a snap once I had the drill in hand. The kitchen is sturdy, good quality plastic and overall I'm pleased that it went together easily and that my daughter hasn't stopped playing with it yet!

Both of my children have had a great time with this. It is big enough for both to play together. The bar is big enough for two stools, so we added one of our own. It comes fully equipped and ready to use. It only took my husband and myself 30 minutes to put together. I highly recommend this product.

Great accessories! Lots of counter space but difficult to position in a room. To have the "bar" area accessible, need to have side entrance but that limits being able to put near a wall. Walk-in style keeps more of the accessories in one spot rather than all over the room outside, but it is a little tight for my two-year-old twins inside.

We bought this for our twin girls for their 2nd birthday. They LOVE it!! It's the only thing that keeps thier attention for more than 5 minutes. We put it in the playroom and they will play in it for 45 minutes or longer, which is great for two-year-olds! The food/accessories that come with this are wonderful- you can't beat the value. We took out the metal utensils (there are 4) only because our one daughter hit the other one with one of them. We will save those for when the girls are a little older. The bottom line is that this kitchen is all that we expected it to be- we would buy it again in a heartbeat!

My husband and I presented this fabulous kitchen to our daughter the day she turned 2 years old. Her reaction was priceless. She absolutely loves her kitchen and loves to "cook". She offers to cook for me daily and I just adore watching her act like a "mommy". The accessories are realistic and so is the food. Lots of cabinets to open, which my little girl loves. Well worth the price. This kitchen is just big enough to engage her for years to come without taking over the entire play-room. Five Stars!

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Grand Walk-In Kitchen:

The kitchen really is nice and a good value for the money and most importantly our daughter loves it. The only problems were that where there were supposed to be holes for connecting parts, the holes were not fully punched through, they were just indentations. We did not have a drill handy so we had to use a hammer and nail to create the holes that were supposed to be there. Also the sticker decals were crumpled up in the package so they were difficult to apply...we had to put the sticker sheets under a pile of books to try to flatten them before applying but they were still crumpled. It is hard to get them to stay on once they have been crumpled like that. Overall would say it was a good product altough for the money I think these flaws were unacceptable.

My 19 month old daughter loves this kitchen. This is the only toy that she plays with everyday. She loves to pretend to cook on the stove and loves to open/close the cabinet doors. There are so many accessories that come with this kitchen.

The only bad part is the assembly. We had such a hard time getting the counter on the stove. We called Step 2 and they told us to "use a blow dryer on it to melt the plastic." We were also told a couple of other ways to get it to work, but the blow dryer finally worked. The oven door would not stay closed so we were sent fasteners to fix it.

When we first got the kitchen and had so many issues, I vowed to never purchased Step 2 again. However, my daughter does love this kitchen and all of her other Step2 products so we will definately purchase for her again.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Grand Walk-In Kitchen:

Our daughter woke up to a huge surprise on her birthday. She had a huge smile and was so excited to be playing in her very own kitchen. Her friends had a Step 2 Grand Walk in Kitchen that we couldn't get her out of so we thought she should have her own.
It took my husband a couple hours to put it together. The only cons were that the counter table caved in and we couldn't get it to pop out and that the some of the food pieces were missing. The kitchen came with a pizza but only half of the pizza.
Other than that our daughter and her friends love to play in the kitchen. And we thought it would be a great investment for our second child on the way. It's something that both children can play with for several years.

Service & Delivery comments:

I would make sure that the counter table was flat and not caved in. In certain areas of the table the plate and food will roll off because its not a flat surface.
I wish that the kitchen came with all the food pieces. It would probably of not been noticeable if it weren't for the pizza from the food set to be missing half the pizza pieces.

Step2 Response: Thank you for taking the time to complete the review. Please contact us directly at 800-347-8372 for assistance with the counter table and the missing pieces.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Grand Walk-In Kitchen:

I researched for weeks for something like this - small enough for my two year old to enjoy now, large enough for her to grow into. I bought this for her 2nd birthday knowing that she's got quite an imagination and desire to mimic real-life activities. I looked, and looked, and looked again; but I was unable to find this at any less of a cost. I actually was intent on buying the deluxe, but curiosity had me look into the Grand Walk-in - finding that for only an extra 30 bucks I could get something nearly twice the size with triple the accessories, it was not hard to choose the upgrade! It arrived in two boxes and I was prepared to do battle with tool box in hand - but the instructions manual was only a few pages and the picture said the only tool required was a screwdriver. "Surely, they've sent the wrong instructions..." I thought, skimming through them before I started. Nope. "Surely, they've forgotten the other half; or maybe I'm missing a door or screw or two...", I thought, counting, counting and re-counting parts. Nope. "Let's see how many holes they forgot to pre-drill for me..." I thought, running my fingers over the slight indents where screws were to go. Aha! "I knew I'd need something to make the holes, just like some people complained about!" I exclaimed, reaching for a hammer to start my assault. But alas, another "disappointment." As I pressed the screws into each indent, I saw that the harder I pressed, the more the screw would sink into them! I had it screwed together within half an hour! Delighted and encouraged, every knob popped into place, every door swung easily and sturdily enough for a toddler not to mangle, and every sticker had its obvious location. Another half hour later, I was ready to put away the accessories. After much consideration, I had everything in it's place and batteries installed another half hour later, including a debate over where the best placement would be. I'd never been more pleased with a purchase for my child than with this product! And with other relatives chipping in toward the price, I was able to get her the Step2 shopping cart, and more! You can't beat the price for the product, considering the wonderful quality, stability and [...] The stool was a marvelous inclusion - I was also surprised at the strength of it, considering it was at no extra cost. As for the negatives, I've yet to find anything very poignant. If I had to say something, it would be that I wish the cabinets under the sink were deeper and there were shelves in the cabinets next to the microwave. But there is so much counter space, it makes up for it. I had my heart on a wooden set in the begining, but everything linked to quality and customer satisfaction that I could possibly dig up came attached to the Step2 products. I don't regret one minute of research, because it all brought me to this Grand kitchen. I am definitely not disappointed - and I'm not just "satisfied," I'm HAPPY with my purchase!

My 5 year old son likes to play with it as well, he especially likes the breakfast counter and will take a snack and sit down at the counter to eat. The accessories that come with it are great, very realistic looking. We keep everything in a plastic tub, some of the things will fit in the cabinets but there is still tons left over. This will survive numerous kids, we are very happy with the product.

I purchased this for my grand daughter whom is 15mths. I was planning on giving it to her for Christmas, however, we broke it out of the box early to challenge her development. There are a few things I wished were different. The inside space is small, don't know if it would fit two children. She loves the working stove and microwave. Wish more things would make noise. I also wish that the cupboards were a little deeper to hold all the food accessories. This kitchen truly needs a working coffe pot. With all this said, my grand daughter still loves this kitchen so seeing her reaction I am glad I purchased this for her.

I really like the kitchen and Da'borah does too. She enjoys cooking and answering the phone. I think the kitchen is a good deal and should be considered by anyone looking to buy one. It is not too big. I love the set up of it most of all. I believe there could be alot more working components such as the microwave could light, and spin, the oven could light, and the refrigerator could light. Also, a little more volume to the buttons on the phone and microwave would have been nice. The phone could have some interactive voice features, and I agree with another who stated that the "Grand" kitchen should have a dishwasher. Da'Borah will be 2 in September, so, she is not totally missing the items that I pointed out, however, I think the kitchen would keep her busy longer if those things were present.

My grandson cooks in his kitchen when I cook in mine.He fixes me "coffee" in the morning. All the foods and accessories that come with this are wonderful. We match the food to pictures and spelling of the food. He tries new foods without hesitation. You can just watch his imaginition go. He has had it 8 months and he is not tired of it. Very well made, sturdy. Large muscle, dexterity, math skills, imagination, food identification, spelling, so many things to do with this. The interaction with him is wonderful. We have not found anything negative about it.

This is a great product and my one year old daughter loves it. She doesn't understand all it's uses yet and can not reach the microwave completely, but she will definately grow into this great toy. I would have liked the directions to be a little more clearer about where the different length screws were to be put, but other than that, it was easy to put together.

We babysit our granddaughter, Isabella, every weekend. She is 18 mos now. I need major equipment in the house to keep her amused. Last weekend was the first weekend she played with the set. And she loved it. She spent the entire weekend with it. And 18 mos. olds do not have a long attention span. There is tons of different stuff to do in this set. I have money to spend, and a real use for your products. I would be interested in buying mnore products. My age group, combined with my income level, and my needs should make me one of your best customers.

My twin girls love their kitchen! They love to show anyone that comes to our house, "their kitchen"! It's not simple to put together, but that's sort of a given, since it's so large. My girls love all it's compartments, and appliances, too. The version we bought from [...]didn't come with a stool, although Step 2 was kind enough to send us one, anyway!

My husband and I bought this kitchen as a Christmas present for our then 18 month old daughter. From Christmas morning to now a day has not gone by without our little one spending hours in her kitchen. It's VERY durable, and kids of all ages (even my 20 year old sister) love it. Our neice and nephew (ages 4 and 5)come over and head straight to the kitchen. My husband and I are commissioned to sit on the stool and have coffee everyday. A great investment for years of usage!

We just put it together this week, but she plays with it everyday. It is just the perfect size and height for her. There were so many extra pieces that came with it, we did not give them to her all at one time, she would have been overwhelmed and they would have been everywhere. We will slowly give them to her so she will be getting something new to play with. She will be playing with this for a long time. We have it in our screened porch, and she gets upset when it is time to stop playing and come inside.

This is the nicest play kitchen I have ever seen and my two-year-old son loves it. He plays with it every day.

I was disappointed that the microwave door and two cabinets were very poorly aligned and there is not much I can do about it. Also, the silver finish on the refrigerator door and microwave door were scratched right out of the box. My son doesn't notice and it didn't seem worth the trouble of asking for a replacement, but beware. I would suggest to Step2 that the microwave and fridge door be made from the same grey plastic as the oven door (not painted).

I bought this for my son when he was one year old (he's 15 months now). He LOVES the kitchen, he spends hours each day playing with it. We take turns sitting on the stool and preparing food for each other. I have been teaching him about cleaning, cooking, organizing, and names of different foods. All the accessories are great, including a selection of ethnic foods. The only complaint is the telephone, we had a lot of trouble with the cover over the battery, the screw is very hard to take on and off, and Step 2 actually had to replace the first phone. Again, overall, this is a great buy... Even if you don't want to spend this much money on a kitchen set, there are others that are less pricey.

I purchased this for my 2 1/2-year-old son and he loves it. He has been playing with it for hours and it is priceless to see him using his imagination so well. He loves it and we are very happy with it.

I gave it four stars instead of five due to several minor issues. The finish on the microwave and refrigerator doors were lightly rubbed off when removed from the box. The microwave and cabinet doors are slightly crooked. The stove burner assembly had a defective screw and could not be opened to install batteries. Every time with turned the screwdriver it would loosen and then tighten. We had to pry it off on one side with a knife.

I put this together in less than a half hour. It is best if you have an electric screwdriver though.

This comes with a bazillion food items, realistic pots and pans and utensils. My 20 month old daughter and her best friend (20 month old boy) LOVE this kitchen and can spend about 30 minutes uninterrupted in the kitchen. (That's a lot for them.)

It has realistic sound effects for the microwave, stove and phone.

Only negative is that it came with a handle to a cupboard missing. But that's not a big deal.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Grand Walk-In Kitchen:

I bought this for my 18 mo old granddaughter-She absolutely loves it!! My daughter tells me she spends hours playing in it & when friends come over to play that don't want to leave!! I live in Texas & planning a trip to Florida to visit her in July--I can't wait to spend time playing with her in her walk in kitchen! As my daughter puts it "BEST babysitter anyone could ask for!" I am thrilled to know that I have made such a purchase that she will enjoy for years to come. My daughter said she put away some of the food due to such a large amt-but what a thrill my baby will have when more things are added!! According to my daughter, assembly required less than an hour. Thank-you Step 2 for making such a wonderful kitchen!!

This was a gift to my granddaughter and she loves it. Brought a lot of Kitchen accessories and she now spends more time in her kitchen then mine. It was very easy to assemble and it's durable. We keep it out side next to our outdoor kitchen area and it's easy to clean.

This kitchen was easy to assemble, it took about 1 1/2 hours from start to finish. There are so many accessories (dishes, food, pots, and pans) you definitely do NOT need to buy any more to complete your set! Our daughter absolutely LOVES this kitchen...she loves the sounds of the stove, microwave, and phone. A great, great, great toy!

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Grand Walk-In Kitchen:

My son started playing with this kitchen before my husband could even finish assembling it! I was pleasantly surprised at how little space it takes up and how sturdy the stool is.

This kitchen comes with more food accessories than will actually fit in the cupboards (not a complaint!) but I am concerned that all of it is made in China and kids will most likely put it in their mouths - especially since it's made to resemble food. I'm going to ask Step2 if it's been tested for lead.

The only real issue is that the hinge for the refrigerator door wasn't quite set right and the door kept popping out, but we widened the hole and it works just fine. It would be cool if the sink made some kind of water noise (my son only seems to be really interested in the noise-making parts) but he's certainly not lacking for entertainment with this kitchen! I highly recommend it!

Our 12 month old daughter and 17 month old nephew absolutely love this kitchen. It is big enough for both of them to be "inside" and has enough accessories to keep them occupied for hours. My 2 year old granddaughter got this last week for her birthday. She LOVES everything about it. It was easy to assemble (power screwdriver is a must, though, as it's much quicker and not frustrating!). She loves the realistic sounds from the microwave, phone and stove, as well as all the storage. Several kids played with it at her birthday party and it's so durable that even the 6 year old boy who hung from the arches didn't break it (though NOT recommended!!). I will certainly buy another Step2 product.

My daughter loved it from the first moment. She 'helped' her father to assembly it, so even this part was fun for her. She couldn't wait to be all done! She was past her bedtime with 2 hours 'cause she wanted to play!!
She is only 17 months, but she plays great time! I even put some water in the sink and she is washing the vegetables and her hands there,
All in all, she really LOVES it!!
It's worth the money. We didn't have any problems with flimsy doors or anything else.

I found this product easy to assemble. As some of the previous reviews stated, not all the holes are pre-drilled. The simple remedy is using a cordless drill and the screws go in just fine. I have a 4 year old daughter and 2 year old son and they absolutely love it. Very imaginitive play and all the accessories are great. It holds up to a rough and tumble 2 year old. Entertains children for at least an hour and held up to a birthday party with ten children over. Highly recommend this kitchen.

We will be sure to pass it along to another child, for them to enjoy.

My son loves this kitchen. Setup was easy with a power drill - the holes are not predrilled. It took about an hour even with help from my 2 yr old.

It comes with plenty of accessories - both food and kitchenware.

I don't know if it is worth the price though. I think my son would have enjoyed the less pricier versions just as much.

The oven door doesn't remain closed so I had to stick a furniture floor felt pad so it would stay.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Grand Walk-In Kitchen:

This kitchen is the Mac Daddy of all play kitchens. My one year old got it for his birthday from his Nana, although it states ages 2 and up, since he loves opening my cupboards, playing with tupperware, spoons, etc, I thought it would be perfect and it is! He loves all the drawers, cupboards, opening oven, fridge, when he gets taller he'll be able to reach the microwave and upper cupboards. He's had it for 3 weeks and he entertains himself for long periods of time.
It came with 101 pieces of food, utensils, accessories, I sorted through which he could have now and placed a bunch in bags for when he's older and won't choke on smaller pieces of sushi, etc. It's culturally diverse and just wonderful!

Assembly was fairly easy, instructions were great.
Looks wonderful in my living room, matches very nicely. Wonderful sounds, fun things to do with stove, microwave buttons, phone, and others. GREAT purchase!

We bought this for my 2 1/2 year old and she just loves it. It is across from our kitchen so she can "cook" while I cook. It comes with tons of stuff and great pretend food. I would HIGHLY recommend having a power screwdriver when putting this together. The instructions were fairly easy to follow and I was able to put it together alone (well my daughter "helped"). I would buy this again in moment.

I really like this product overall it provides my girls and their big brother with hours of fun. There is little supervision on my part most of the time. My kids get super creative they play book store counter, movie concesions, ice cream shop, pizza buffet, ticket booth and cooking show.

I bought a Step2 Party Time Kitchen for one grand daughter. She loves it and plays in it everyday. The second grand daughter fell in love and wanted the bigger version. They both play in the kitchens when they visit each other's homes. It is sturdy, realistic and practical. The girls are 21 months and 13 months...and they slam the doors and bang on the counter. It is excellent!!!

Pros:
My son loves this kitchen. It came with an abundant amount of accessories ranging from coffee pot and ravioli. The sounds from the stove, micowave and phone are cute.

Cons:
First, the assembly is easy with a power drill - it would have been nice for the holes to be predrilled. Overall, it took about 1.5 hours even with a little tot helping me out. The directions are clear.

Second, the oven door stays open. I had to stick a piece of felt that I use for furniture legs so that the door would remain closed.

Third, the drawer came chipped so that the front of the drawer sometimes comes off.

Last, I wish there was more storage space for ALL of the accessories that came along with it. Also, I think my son would have been just as satified with a cheaper one. But if you have the money, then try this one.

My two 18 month old grandsons were in awe of this kitchen...we couldn't get it assembled fast enough for them...they were handing us pieces to "help" us build it quicker. They have played for hours in it, both together and alone. It almost has the look and feel of a playhouse. It probably gets more play hours than any other toy we have.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Grand Walk-In Kitchen:

Highly recommended!!!! After looking at many different styles and quality I finally found the ideal kitchen for children. I have a childcare in which I like to provide a variety of creative play opportunities. The Grand-Walk In Kitchen is very attractive to children/parents, realistic, and engaging. Even though, it was somewhat pricey it's worth every penny (great quality/safe). It took me about 1 hour to assemble.

I bought this for my three year old. It came from [...] and is complete all in itself with the included accessories. I did not have to buy anything extra for my daughter to add to this set to have complete fun. I set it up in my garage and had it ready on X-mas morning. It wouldn't fit into my daugther's room though. I just unscrewed the top half from the base, turned it sideways, then put it back togtehr in her room. It is perfect!

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Grand Walk-In Kitchen:

I adore this kitchen, as do my boys (ages 3 and 2). It took me about an hour and a half to put this together but I did it all by myself. Me + cordless drill = amazing! All I used was my husband's cordless drill and a little muscle at some points. None of the holes were pre-drilled, so I had to work a little at getting the screws thru. The instructions were easy and it all came together fantastically. The hardest part was putting the stickers up. (I'm a bit of a perfectionist so bubbling just wouldn't cut it).
My boys have played and played and played with this kitchen. They love all the realistic foods and that the appliances makes sounds. The one negative I have is that they are now using the bar stool as a step stool around the house...otherwise a fabulous investment!
