Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

My 2 year old son loves this kitchen. He likes to pretent to cook like mommy while I prepare meals. He loves the sounds it makes and the light above the sink. I think the light is a great touch too but the batteries do need to be replaced often and it is a little difficult to get to. It has tons of storage for play food and pans. I wish it came with more accessories. The microwave tends to stick a little but my son barely notices. It was pretty easy to assemble althought it does have a ton of decals to put on. Overall love this product and would buy it again.

Service & Delivery comments:

Love the kitchen however to improve the product I would include more accessories, fix the microwave so it doesn't catch, and improve the design on the light above the sink to make it easier to change the battery.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

The drawers do not stay in the cubbies very well. I read others suggestions on line before I started putting this together. That really helped me. I made sure the window stickers were put on before assembling the area with the dish rack. Only way to put this together is with an electric screwdriver ! I wish the places where you are to put the screw was predrilled, even if just a tiny bit as was hard to place screw in some places.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

Really easy to put together and it looks great. We haven't had it long enough to say much about durability, but seems like it will go the distance. It's big enough that my twins can play together at the kitchen and still have enough room not get in each other's way. I think it's also something that they can grow with and have for several more years.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

My son is almost 2 and he LOVES his new kitchen. His creativity is growing so much, and he loves that it has everything that our real kitchen does. I think he'll enjoy it for many years. My only complaint is that it's not cut very well. Many of the holes are very jagged, which makes the hinges tight and hard to open. And there are small scratches randomly, some of which were pretty sharp.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

My 3yr old grand-daughter absolutely loves her new kitchen. Or as she calls it "her chicken". LOL I buy her mini cookies, that she bakes in her oven. The first day she played with it for 10 hours and would not leave her room. The only set back I found was the amount of space to attatch the spindle rail on the window. I think it is a great way to interact and make lasting memories with your child / grandchild.

We bought this kitchen for my 1 year old girls birthday. But my 3 year old boy loves it just as much as she does. They both can play on it at the same time and not get in each others way. Plus my son is rough with his toys and it withstands everything he does to it. It couldn't more sturdy. We love it!

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

This was a christmas present for my daughter. it was an upgrade from a smaller kitchen she already had.she likes everything about it. I wish the sink made sounds and the other sounds were more realistic to that item. But overall we are happy with this kitchen. My daughter is 5. and she loves it, so that is what matters most. i ordered this on line and everthing went smooth and i received it in a timely manner.

Service & Delivery comments:

I would have the sink make sounds and i'm not sure why the cabinets have the ridges in them, because the cups and bowls will not fit in there properly. and we are not sure what the spot right behind the stove is, we can't find what fits there. it looks like the salt and pepper shakers could fit there, but they are too small to fit.?

The two and three year old grandsons love it. There are buttons to push that give realistic sounds, a multitude of doors that open and close, and a stove top that produces boiling and sizzling sounds when cooking. The boys enjoy talking to each other on the cordless playphone. The light over the sink is bright and adds to the authenticity of a real kitchen. Well worth the money spent for the continuous hours of entertainment.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

We purchased this kitchen for my daughter's first birthday - a little before she was ready, but we knew she'd grow into it within the next year and that her big brother at age two would be able to entertain himself as well. This is really one of the best and reasonably priced play kitchens out there. And while large enough for two kids to play, it still fits in our City Condo. It was fairly easy to put together and but for some drawers that slide out a little too easily, we are very, very pleased and are looking forward to hours of play.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

We bought this product for my 2.5 year old daughter for Christmas. She absolutely loves it. There is lots of storage for pots/pans and play food. The sound effects are great as well. Recently, we had a playgroup at our house and 7 children were playing with this at one time. This is definitely a product that will have a long life as well. Older kids (up to age 6) that have visited have enjoyed playing with it as well. The only negative I can think of is that the fridge is a little hard to open for my daughter.

My 3 year old daughter saw this kitchen at a friend's and insisted that she had to have the "Green" kitchen for Christmas. It was the ONLY thing she asked for from Santa. I asked the child's mom how she liked it and she was pretty pleased. I also read all the reviews before I purchased this product. It was as everyone had stated and meet my expectations. She does play with it daily but not as much as I had hoped she would. We plan on moving it to another location where I feel she will play with it more.

We purchased this kitchen set for our 2 yr old daughter, based on all the great reviews it was given. While it is a very nice kitchen, we are not happy with certain things. For instance, it is EXTREMELY HARD to open the microwave door and refridgerator door. My 2 yr old gets very upset trying to play with it. I have a hard time getting it to open myself. Also, the doors below the kitchen sink don't close all the way. I know that may seem minor but when you pay over $200 for a kitchen set, I expect it to be fully functionable.

I purchased this for my 22 month old grandaughter. She loves it. My only drawback are the drawers, several reviews stated that the children became frustrated with the drawer design and I found that as well. I wish there was a way to make add tags or pegs to keep the drawers from falling out. Also I wish the sink could be made functional. My granduaghter is a water baby and became very frustrated when the sink did not work, however she has made many meals and as she grows will be able to use the upper portions of the cabinets. I intentionally purchased this size so she could grown into it instead of out of it.

We have a 2 1/2 yr old girl and we got her this for Christmas. We have another baby girl on the way so we decided to get the all out big fancy kitchen. So far she loves it. We did buy more food and accessories to go with it but I was impressed by the quality of the pots etc that were included. I was afraid we had got one that was too big but it is perfect for 2 or 3 kids to play comfortably. Also the colors were better in person. I had wanted one of those wood kitchens with the cute colors but this kitchen will definitely be more durable and last longer. The only strange thing is the sounds that the oven and dishwasher make, they are not very realistic. My husband had no problems assembling it and was done in about an hour.

I love that they can spill on it and it cleans nicely and the youngest can climb it (not that this is recommended) and it does not fall over or fall in.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

I purchased this kitchen because it has a taller design than most play kitchens. It was a gift for my almost 6-yr old daughter. I couldn't give her a kitchen designed for 2 & 3 year olds. WE LOVE IT and have spent many hours playing together. My 3-yr old son also enjoys playing with us. I highly recommend this product! It was easy & fun to assemble.

We purchased this Deluxe Kitchen for our 3 yr old daughter for Christmas 2009. She loves it. the sounds are great she loves that it is like mommy's kitchen. I would recomend this kitchen. The only thing is one of the cabinet doors is loose. I will call about that, but overall love it and so does she.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

I purchased the kitchen as a Christmas gift for my 21 month old granddaughter. I was able to follow the directions for assembly, and had no trouble putting it together with a simple screwdriver. Assembly took around 2 hrs. When she first saw the kitchen on Christmas, she was so excited!!! She absolutely loves it! It is big enough for 2-3 kids to play at once. A couple of things I do not like is the fact that the drawers come out too easily and are difficult for little ones to put back properly. The middle drawer for utensils falls right out when pulled open. Although my 9 year old grandson will not admit it, he likes playing with it too!!!

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

My son had a cheap kitchen that he played with for a year so his grandparents decided to buy him a new one for Christmas. He nearly fell over when he saw his Deluxe Kitchen. He "cooks" dinner for everyone every night, he is not gentle, and it continues to be in great shape. I look forward to my 7 month old daughter getting to enjoy it with him someday as well. I am very pleased with the product overall. (assembly took time but it wasn't difficult)

My 2-year-old daughter LOVES this kitchen!!! It has everything she needs and keeps her busy while I'm working at home. She loves making dinner for me and her dolls. I love the fact that there's so much storage and everything can be put away too! I assembled this myself in a couple of hours - the instructions were very easy to follow. It's made out of thick plastic and is a lot more sturdy than other kitchens I have seen. I believe my daughter will be playing with this for years! I am very happy with this product!

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

It is difficult to find products that can accomodate playtime for multiple aged chidren, often the scale of the product tends to be too small once children get over 4 years old. you should consider making a larger scale model for parents to purchase for children that they would like to encourage to continue playing like children.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

Love the set for my grandchildren and before I purchased this set, I read all the reviews and for whatever reason, these sets are sent out to customers with very poor quality control from step2. It seems that every review, parts were missing or broke. I also had a part in the set that was not working. These things should not happen as often as they do. They are not being checked before they leave the warehouse. I was very dissappointed, that I too, had to call for a new part, like hundreds of other customers. This should not be happening at all.

We purchased the LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen as a present from "Santa". He really hit it out of the park this year. Our two children, 4 & 2, love this play kitchen! It is our sons pride and joy, it's the first thing he shows anyone coming to our house and he plays with it every day. We found the quality to be wonderful and it's very sturdy. Cleaning is a snap and I think a lot more sanitary than wooden kitchen sets! We are all extremely happy with this product.

This Kitchen is incredible and so life-like. My boys (2 and 3 years old) absolutely love it!! Everything on it is so realistic and the appliances are great. There is so much cabinet space to hold all of the food that comes with it, as well as the extra food i have from my old play kitchen. This is the best kitchen on the market for the price. The only negative is that you need to make sure you have a screw gun for installation. It takes about 45 minutes to put together, but if you follow the directions it is easy to assemble, just takes more time then most kitchens. That's i believe, because it is such a nice kitchen. SANTA was great this year!!!

This kitchen is great! Santa brought it to our house, and my little one can not play with it enough. She loves pressing all of the buttons for the microwave, oven, and even the dishwasher. Everything is so realistic to her. When I am cooking in my kitchen, she is cooking in hers. It is a wonderful toy. The only thing that I would improve on is adding your own additional play food. It does not come with very much at all. We had to go out and buy more to suppliment.

Love Step2. Love them even more when I called several days after Christmas to report a missing part. They replaced with no questions and I had in two days. I am embarrassed to say I found the missing part later in the guest room closet but I am happy to know that Step2 has the number one customer service of almost any company I have delt with in my entire adult life! You guys have great products and really design them with kids in mind. I love the light over the sink and the fact that the burners make boiling water and sizzling sounds when you put a pot on them. Buttons for the dishwaher, stove and microwave make sounds! Lots of great storage which we needed with all of our foods sets when have been collecting much to my husbands dislike. Now he can't complain of food everywhere on the floor! Excellant product for the money! Great for boys too who will play with kitchens until they realize it is not that cool :-) Call me if you need a product tester in Nashville!

A prettier border would be nice... a little outdated :-) Can never have too much storage space or deeper spaces. Really not many suggestions I can add.

We got this for Christmas for our 22 month old daughter. She loves it! It's so fun to hear what cute phrases come out of her mouth as she find each new feature/accessory.

She LOVES that the pot makes boiling noises and the skillet makes sizzling sounds.

Service & Delivery comments:

While it's terrific that this product offers so many features that make noise, it's frustrating that you have to remove the controls from the kitchen set with a screwdriver in order to replace the 13 batteries it requires.. My husband wishes we had the option to plug it into the wall. :)

Also, the noises the microwave, fridge, and stove make are way too quiet. If there is any other noise in the background (tv, radio, talking), my daughter and I don't even hear the kitchen noises.

The microwave door is VERY hard to open.

This kitchen was just what our 3 year old daughter wanted. It has plenty of storage for all of the kitchen items and food. It is very easy for her to clean up when she is done because every thing has its place. And there is plenty of space to spread out while playing with others. The only complaint we have was that the assembly took 2.5 hours and my husband mentioned it would have been easier to put the stickers (and there are a lot of them) on before assembling the kitchen. The kitchen has lots of cool features, such as sound effects for the oven, microwave and dishwasher. There is also a light over the stove and a silverware drawer. The overall quality seems great. The other product my daughter got for Christmas was the Pastry chef set. She loves to have tea parties and the way you can change out the cupcake colors makes it great fun.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

I bought this for my daughter after I saw how interested she was in her friend's wooden kitchen. I thought since this appeared to be much larger, there would be more room for both of my children to play with it. It did take some time to put together. Once together, it's lopsided (not because of anything I did wrong). The overall look is pleasing.

My 4 yr old daughter isn't playing with it as much as I had hoped. Maybe if I buy some more accessories (food..more money), she'll be more interested. My 15 month son is greatly enjoying playing with it, especially the phone. Would be nice if the oven were a little larger. My daughter's play pizza won't fit in the oven. She's played with the pizza set more than the kitchen!

For the price, more accessories should be included.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

Being a new grandmother; I'm looking for play items for our grandchild that are basic and encourages use of her imagination and individualism. This Step2 play kitchen really meets that criteria. It's well made, easy to use and has all the sound effects she enjoys to make her kitchen playtime real. With another grandchild on the way; I'm sure they'll both enjoy playing with it together in years to come. This is my 2nd Step2 purchase because she really enjoyed her sand and water table over the summer.

If there is one short-coming, it's the assembly time. It took two hours for her daddy and grandpa to assemble. However, it is sturdy and any less time may have resulted in a less sturdy play kitchen.

Will keep looking at Step2 products first for future playtime purchases.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

We bought this for our 2 1/2 year old daughter as a gift from Santa. I'm a little surprised that she hasn't been very into it YET but I think that's because she has so many other new toys right and is on overload from Christmas, but once we get back into our regular routine, she will have fun. I always wanted a big kitchen as a kid but never got one, so I joke that I am fulfilling my childhood fanasties with this! My 6 year old son has played a little bit with it and enjoyed himself. The 3 of us have played "restaurant" together and pretended to cook. She likes opening the cabinets, etc. It is well made and will last a lifetime!

Service & Delivery comments:

It would be nice to have additional pieces of pretend food that are more realistic included with the kitchen. We bought some separately that are more "fun".

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

Our daughter is 20 months old and we bought this kitchen for her for Christmas - She loves it. The size is perfect and will last for years. The burner on the stove is very realistic and we love that it makes both boiling and frying sounds depending upon the pan/pot used. She is already extremely creative and now can make her own "dinner" while we are making ours. I was worried that she might be too young but that is not the case. The microwave and refrigerator doors are a bit hard to open, but that hasn't stopped her. Setup took about 40min but was not difficult.

I have two kids, ages 2 and 4, and thought they would enjoy this since they're always trying to open our real refrigerator and oven doors. We've had this for about a month now. They played with it for about 10 minutes after it was first assembled, and then had no interest after that. One of the cabinet doors won't stay closed. We ordered another door, and that has the same problem. It took hours to assemble and was a huge waste of time and money.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

After reading reviews on several different kitchens, I decided on this kitchen. I purchased this kitchen as a Santa gift for my sons ages 3 & 4 and it has turned out to be their favorite toy. I was able to put it together by myself for the most part and even though it took a little time, it was definitely worth it! I had it set up so that they would wake up and find it the next morning and I don't think I've ever seen them so happy. They didn't even want to open their other gifts and instead spent a majority of the day playing with it. My 3 yr. old climbs on everything so I wasn't surprised when he tried climbing on the kitchen. To my surprise though, it didn't even budge. The features on this kitchen are amazing too! They love that they can hear the food cooking. Another thing I absolutely love about this kitchen is that it has so much storage. I can put almost all of their play food and dishes in it. We had bought them several extra food sets and dishes and most of those even fit in it. The only thing I would recommend with this kitchen is to make sure and buy the batteries for it before putting it together. It requires quite a few batteries, but they seem to last a long time. My kids play with this kitchen daily and even forget to turn off the light at night, yet we still have not had to change any of the batteries. This is definitely a must have kitchen for kids of all ages. I'm sure my kids won't out grow this for a very long time as it is a very big kitchen compared to the others I looked at. Well worth the price paid too!

This was purchased for my Grandaughter (the girl in a set of 17 month old triplets.) As soon as it was uncovered all of them plus a cousin of 17 months started to play. Everything is so realistic, they all knew exactly what to do. Katelyn was "washing" her hands, Sawyer was cooking, Logan was getting water from the refrigerator and cousin Evan was talking on the telephone. They played without fighting for about 45 minutes. The perfect purchase/gift.

This was a Christmas gift from us to our daughter and it couldn't have been any better! She wants to do some 'cookin' from morning til night. I love the fact that all of the appliances are within reach for a toddler. The sound effects are not extremely loud and the way it includes every aspect of a real kitchen is phenomenal.

The only suggestion I have is that I wished the appliances were a tad bit wider to accomodate more cookingware. But that is definitely not a hinderance to this product!!

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

I bought this kitchen set for my 3 yr old daughter for Christmas and it was the best purchase I could have bought. My husband wasn't too thrilled about how much I spent on it but once he saw how much she plays with it and actually uses it he agreed that it was a good purchase. It is a lot more functional than her old kitchen set that only made one noise, and could not even compare to this one. FYI, her old kitchen wasn't a Step2. Anyhow, she loves using the dishwasher, making me dinner, and making eggs on the stove which makes frying noises. We, or should I say "She" absolutly love this kitchen!! I will not have to buy another kitchen set, and the new baby on the way can use this one as well!

Service & Delivery comments:

My only suggestion would be that the refrigerator & or sink/faucet made noises as well.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

We bought this for our 3 1/2 yr old daughter AND for our 2 yr old son. They BOTH love it! There is so much to do, open, close, press on, off, etc. My husband and I assembled it Christmas Eve in less than 2 hours total from open box to final product with the bow on top. The only complaint would be that the microwave door rubs on the cabinet which makes it a little difficult to open, but we are perfectionists and I guess for a plastic play set it's just fine and the kids could care less about perfection. They are just thrilled with the item and play with it everyday. They LOVE all the noises that they can make with it... the boiling stove being their favorite. We thought the sink was suppose to make noise too, but it doesn't... it's just the button that can be presssed on it. The set comes with food, cookware, plates and all kinds of other stuff, so you can get right to playing. We love it and so do they. Great product!!

Service & Delivery comments:

The large main pieces of our product were a little bit warped which made those pieces a tiny bit difficult to assemble straight, this made the door on the microwave a little difficult to open (it rubs on the cabinet). Otherwise, no complaints. The stickers were a piece of cake to put on and lots of fun too... not as many stickers as some reviews had complained about.

My daughter LOVES this set. She makes us pretend meals all the time. It is a little difficult to assemble alone as you have to hold things in place and insert screws. There are some places it's a little tight to try to fit a screwdriver. Overall we are very pleased with the product though. It's kept her entertained and is her fav Chrismtas present. We bought this set over the smaller sets as she has a baby sister due in a few months and this set seems like it will accomodate 2 children better.

This kitchen Is adorable and I would buy again...however during assembly, some of the holes were not there for the screws, so I had to make my own (a challenge) Assembly still only took about 2 1/2 hours that was with a hand screw driver (charge your electric one and it will go even faster!) There is quite a bit of storage but we still cant seem to find enough room...the oven will not fit a pretend cookie sheet so they cant be used...and 2 of our cabinet doors wont stay closed...We still love it though!

I had a really hard time choosing between this one and the walk-in kitchen. I finally decided on this one because it was more open. My kids love this kitchen and it keeps them entertained for hours.
I would have given this product a perfect review except for a couple of things.
First, the instructions that came in the boxes differ from what's online. My husband and I found the written directions slightly confusing in certain places and decided to go online. There was video demo..Yeah...unfortunately it was different and some of the parts on the online demo were not included in the written directions so those steps didn't apply even though the online demo was specific to this product.
Second,I wish the sounds were slightly louder. With all the batteries that this product takes my kids shouldn't have to complain that they don't hear the sounds when they are playing together.

This ended up being very difficult to assemble. There were no pre-drilled holes, and the screws were so tiny they kept getting lost. My 2 y/o daughter (and sons and friends) love to play kitchen/cooking! It is a great size with tons of features! Sounds aren't very realistic, drawers and doors are flimsy and 1 of our doors won't stay shut, but otherwise our daughter loves it and can't get enough of it! Overall it will accomplish all we had hoped it would!

Service & Delivery comments:

I would improve the durability of the doors and drawers and I would improve the sounds. The sink on this one is a bit too big, could have used more counter space and smaller sink. Hose on "sprayer" is a bit stiff, but I am not the one playing with this. My child loves it!

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

Like the sound effects for the different areas.. love the many different play areas. Wish the refrig had sounds for the water/ice dispenser. Too many batteries required.

Service & Delivery comments:

Wish there was less batteries. Would have liked it even better if it had a full size refrigerator/freezer and bigger oven area and drawers for storage. For the price, think it should have included more accessories (ie: dishes and food).

What I really liked about this product beside my granddaughter playing with it is the ease of putting it together. My daughter and I put it together in about 1 hour. The only time we needed some help was putting the 2 pieces together for that we needed a little more muscle. But if you read the instructions and go step by step it is very easy to put together.

My Wife and I purchased this item as a X-Mas gift for our 2yr old daughter, when we recieved it all the parts were there which is a plus. It took me some time to find a small screwdriver to install some of the small parts, but other than that installation was a breeze, I would recommend having a power screwdriver handy. Besides installation being easy, our daughter loves it, she's been playing with it non stop every since Christmas.

I love that the buttons can be pushed and that they make noises. The sizzling and light of the burner is great. The under the sink light is a nice touch. It has many compartments for storage. It has all the main appliances - stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator.

Service & Delivery comments:

The oven could be deeper. There seems to be room for that. The sink faucet could have the on/off valve more realistic and more interactive for the child. The sinks would be deeper.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

I purchased this set for my 3yr old twin girls, and must say I was a bit disappointed. Every aspect of this kitchen set appears to be large, however once assembled I realized that all the cubbies and compartments are VERY VERY small. The kitchen sink is simply a lower surface, not not realistic at all, and the facet is even less realistic. It operates like a soap dispenser. Also ONLY Step2 accessories fit into the plate holder and supboards, and what is with the all the horizontal and verical cutouts in the cupboards?! The fact that certain things make sounds is an afterthought after the initial letdown of the size of this set. They are not very realistic at ALL. I had purchased loads of accessory sets from Melissa and Doug (because there was nothing of the sort availible from Step2) and NOTHING is compatible with this kitchen set. The refridgerator doesn't hold that much. There is noplace to put cups or a coffee mugs and really any accessories other than the VERY FEW provided. Finally the playing surface is VERY VERY low. My 3yr old girls are 42" tall and they look like giants playing in a tiny kitchen. Width wise there is more than enough for the two girls to play, however they play at this set on their knees, in order to cook and such on the countertop. I really put alot of research into this purchase and thought I be more satisfied than I was. For the money spent, I wish it was a little more versite, and had a better design.

We are in love with the new kitchen. It was a perfect Christmas gift for our almost two year old. She has been cooking and cleaning since yesterday morning. Her 3 year old cousin loves it too. They like to turn the microwave on and cook on the burner. They both make realistic sounds which encourages imagination and play. The only thing we have had a problem with is that some of the utensils that we purchased do not fit well in the drawers. These items are not step 2 though. Over all an excellent addition to the play room!!

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

I bought this kitchen set for my nieces. I have 4 of them so I needed a kitchen set that was bigger than usual! The only problem we had was it took quite a while to put together. There are a lot of instructions to follow and a lot of screws to put in place. It also has very few accessories, which is surprising for such a big kitchen set. Other than those two things everything else is perfect! The girls love it and stay in the room for hours. We have to remind them to eat!!! The kitchen looks so real and is so pretty, we all love the sounds it makes as well. I would just recommend that whoever puts it together use a power drill because of the number of screws. I would also recommend putting it together immediately after showing it to the kids or before because of how long it takes to put together. If not they will keep bugging you about when it will be done like my nieces did. Either way a kitchen set that looks this good and does everything it does is worth the wait!

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

We bought this kitchen for our 2 year old daughter. As soon as it was put together, I knew I was returning it. It's really just a big piece of useless plastic. The sink is barely 1 inch deep- not big enough to put dishes in. The cabinets are so tiny that you can only put a couple pieces of food in each one. I don't see this as a kitchen that your toddler would use for long. Also, some of the sound components are barely audible. You would need to upgrade to a more realistic model for real pretend play eventually. Also, the look of it and the decals all seem really out-dated. I ended up purchasing a wooden kitchen that is beautiful and has lots of storage. It doesn't have the "sounds", but she didn't seem to miss them on Christmas morning.

All in all, this kitchen is severely over-rated. I'm quite surprised that there are not more negative reviews.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

I bought this product and waited until xmas eve to put it together for my almost 4 yr old daughter. Being sick as a dog, it only took me 1.5 hrs to assemble it. The directions were very simple. I used a small electric screwdriver which helped out a lot being that the holes were not drilled all the way through. Everything lined up perfectly. I didn't have any problems what so ever putting it together by myself. The kitchen doesn't look exactly as perfect as the picture online of course, a few of the small cupboard doors are slanted slightly, and the microwave and the oven are a little harder to open. Of the electronic sounds, only the stove top sounds realistic. The other sounds are not as loud as I would expect them to be. I read a ton of other reviews so I knew what to expect. All in all my daughter loves this kitchen. It is truly a fantastic product. I hesitated spending this amount of money on one, however I do not regret my purchase in any way. Thank you Step 2!

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

my two year old boy loves playing with play food, and imitating his dad (who's a chef), and i think he's going to be excited about this kitchen. i'm pleased with it, although the opening parts (doors to microwave, fridge, oven) are a little difficult, as they rub. maybe they'll loosen with wear. the lights and noises are great (not too noisy or annoying), and it's easy to replace the batteries. i wish the sink was a little deeper, but the reason it's not is because of a drawer underneath the sink that holds utensils, which i wouldn't trade. i also wish it would have come with a set of 4 bowls and 4 plates, etc, but again, no biggie. also, if there was an option to buy a grill with this set, i would've spent the money. overall, i'm happy, and think this will last through however many kids we decide to have.

Way to go Step2 on this awesome product!

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

We bought this for our two-year-old daughter and she loves it. She plays with it daily and loves to make mom and dad breakfast, lunch, dinner and beverages. She is always making us something! It is too cute. We have an 7 month old, too, and we think the unit will be big enough for both of them to play at it together and should last them for some time.

Service & Delivery comments:

Doors for oven and fridge aren't aligned perfectly. Oven doesn't really close and fridge door sticks and is hard to open and close. It's not bad, but for $200, it should align better.

We bought this Lifestyle Deluxe Kitchen by Step2 about 3 years ago for our two Grandsons...and did they love it.Especially the realistic ovens, refrigerator, sink, and even the phone. They are now 8 and 4. The 4 year old still enjoys sometime pretending but has happily given the kitchen to our 22 month grandaughter. I picked it up and it is brand spankin new;got it in my car and moved it from Virginia to Pennsylvania. Only needed to change the batteries. Our little grandaughter is sure to enjoy it. Thank you for making such a wonderfully constructed product. My son-in-law did a great job assemblying it the first time and we only took the middle back top panel off and it fit in my Chrysler Aspen for the trip!I easily put that panel back on at my grandaughter's home.

I bought this kitchen for my daughter's 3rd birthday, yet my 5 1/2 yr. old was just as excited to have a new kitchen to play with too! Four children play with this kitchen on a regular basis. There is so much for them too do that there are no arguments over who gets what. The kids love that all the appliances "work". The only negative thing is that the drawers that slide in and out are quite flimsy. They come out too easily and never seem to go back in straight.

Great for multiples! Wide enough for everyone to play. My biggest complaint is the refrigerator is too small! Seems to be epidemic among kids' kitchens these days. Wish they had made it wider to accommodate a larger refrigerator.

Bigger refrigerator. A 'stop' mechanism to stop the drawers from being so easily pulled out by little ones.

I bought this to have at my house for when my 2 year old granddaughter came to visit. She absolutely loves it, so much that I am buying another for her house at Camp LeJeune, NC where her United States Marine Daddy and amazing Mommy are stationed. It is heart warming to see her "cook" for Momaw and Popaw. We all laugh when he tells her baby "I'm right here baby, Mommy's cooking dinner". This will be around for many many years to come and hopefully for many more grandbabies to play with. Great Job Step2!!

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

This kitchen fit all my criteria. It is a realistic color scheme, it is large with lots of features so that my child will continue to play with this as she gets older, and all of the extra sound effects and the light add incrementally to her enjoyment. I did not want a pink and purple kitchen as her room is decorated in bright colors. I did not want her to get bored with this, and while it's too early to determine, I don't think she will grow tired of it any time soon.

The one drawback to this kitchen, and to most toys with batteries these days, is that the screws used for battery compartments seem to be made of a soft metal that strips easily. I was finally able to get the backplate off the overhead light feature to load batteries, but I am concerned that I won't be able to change the batteries when they run down due to the situation with the screws.

That is minor, though. It's a fantastic addition to my child's room. It is a happy accident that the accent stickers match the paint color on her walls. I couldn't have done a better matching job if I'd tried. I love the boiling/sizzling sound effects on the stove, and my daughter loves to talk on the play phone.

Another great toy from Step 2!

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

My 21 month old trio LOVE this kitchen. Our PT helped us pick this out b/c it has a lot of 'UP' activities to encourage one of my little guys to stand for prolonged periods of time as well as work on his reaching. It is long enough for all three of them to play at once with minimal fighting.
However, oven door doesn't stay shut very well. Step 2 is sending me a magnet. Wish it had more plates and bowls to fill the slots. Fortunately, I was able to purchase extra phones from Step2. It makes great sounds and everyone wants to talk on the phone while working in their kitchen. Also, it would have been better to make the product longer to get a 'full sized' refrigerator on there. Like most of the new kitchens out there, it is way too small. Go back to the big fridge like when I was a kid, please!

Service & Delivery comments:

More plates, silverware, bowls, cups. At least 4 of each.
Needs a big fridge! Not a 'beverage station'.
Make it a tad deeper so there can be more counter space.

The only problem we have with is is one of the cabinet doors does not stay shut. It's pretty amusing to watch my 2 year old try to slam it shut - she gets so frustrated. I think I may try velcro.

A bit pricey but with how this thing is built, it will surely last thru a lot of kids. Its nice looking and we love all the realistic sounds. Had a problem with the screw on the phone that came with this unit so I called Step 2 and they had a brand new phone in my hands in 3 days, no questions asked. Pay a little more money but like most things, you get what you pay for.

This has been a really big hit at our home. We have two boys, ages 2 and 1. They both love to get into all the compartments and can spend easily an hour playing here every day taking things out and putting them back. They both love the phone and the sounds on the panels. We purchased an extra set of play food and will probably purchase an extra set of place settings so that both boys don't fight over the same things. This is great, especially as winter is coming and we'll keep both boys indoors more.

This kitchen will last much longer. She and her friends love to play with it. My husband put this together by himself in about 45 minutes. We will continue to buy Step 2 products they are wonderful.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

We bought this kitchen for our daughter's 2nd birthday and she has played with it everyday since! She loves it. We put it in the real kitchen so that she could play with it while mommy cooks and cleans. This has been a great way to keep her occupied while I cook but I'm still being able to play along with her and sampling all of her delicious cooking!
For the most part this product is durable. The are only 2 things I disklike about this product. One thing is that the cabinets come out easily and aren't the sturdiest when you put them back in. The second thing is there really isn't any "counter space." We had to put a table next to the kitchen so that my daughter had a place to lay out all of the food and plates.
Putting this together was not rocket science but there are several screws that are hard to manuever in but it's possible. Overall we are happy with chosing this model.

We bought this for our daughter when it first came out in 2003. It is still being used! She has loved it ever since and it is still standing strong over time. I love the fact that it is very roomy for when she has playdates over. We can have 4 or 5 children over and they play very well without fighting since the kitchen is long. If you have the room for it then I recommend getting it.

My husband and I bought this for our soon to be 2 year old daughter. She's getting this for her 2nd birthday in a couple weeks. We just put this together yesterday, to make sure we had all parts and pieces. I suggest using an electric drill, it's a little hard as a woman to get the holes going in the plastic. It took almost an hour and a half to put together and get the stickers on, not too bad, I know it won't fall apart at least. This is going to be so much fun for our daughter! I can't wait for her to see this kitchen! She's going to have so much fun with it!

This is a great kitchen, my daughter likes all the buttons and that the burner makes noises. There is plenty of room for lots of food accessories and I also store some of her toys on the top of it. Be warned it is large, 5 feet across so you need a pretty decent amount of space to fit this one. I also really like the double sink and "sprayer". I purchased some of those 3M adheasive hooks and put them on the side for hanging spoons, measuring cups, dust pan, etc and this worked great and looks very cute.

Love this kitchen. It's a really good size it's large enough that my 2 year old daughter can play with other children and not fight for space to play. Two of my brother inlaws built it in half an hour with no problems it's a really sturdy kitchen had no problems with the top piece being flimsy like I read in other reviews. It has lots of places to put dishes and food and that was the main reason I chose this kitchen for my daughter bc she loves opening drawers. She loves this kitchen especialy getting me water from the fake water dispenser at the fridge and cooking soup she loves the noise the stove makes. I would most definetly recommend this kitchen to a friend.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

I love this product, and am very happy with our decision to purchse this item. We bought this for our daughter's 2nd birthday when she started showing a ton of interest in what I was doing in the kitchen. She wanted to help stir things, stack bowls, set the table and such. So, we thought she'd really like this. After looking at plenty of kitchens made by step 2 as well as others, this kitchen (and this particular model) was the best value. It is large, but not huge. It fits well in a 4 foot space, and is not so wide that it sticks out into the room. It has all of the major kitchen appliances, including a dishwasher. (most do not have the dishwasher, which is a real bummer! Kids LOVE to help empty and load the dishwasher!)Also, most other kitchen sets do not have a faucet that turns from side to side, and a handheld sprayer that comes out of the sink. My kitchen has one, and my daughter has always been fascinated by it- and now she has one! It was great to have that touch in her kitchen set. The kitchen is beautiful- the countertops are modern, the detail and decals are great. The lights and sounds are great, and the burners are the coolest part of the whole kitchen. The boiling pot and the sizzling skillet are the most fun for the kids, along with the cordless phone that makes very realistic sounds.
This set comes with a set of accessories that is very adequate for play- it's got pots, pans, pitchers, food, silverware... everything children need for realistic play. There is no need to purchase additional food\accessories for this specific model of kitchen, whereas you will want to purchase additional kits for most of the other sets. It was included in this set.
The only thing that was a bit of an annoyance was the assembly. Not that it was difficult, but that it was very irritating that the holes were not predrilled, or even tapped. It was kind of a "you're on your own" situation. But, it all worked out, and assembly took about and hour and a half. Also, the batteries. Holy cow does it take alot of batteries. I think I counted 13 batteries all together!
The kitchen is large enough that multiple children can play at the same time and not get in each other's way. I have a 2 year old and a 6 month old, born exactly 18 months apart to the day. I love knowing that the Step 2 product line is very durable, and that the kitchen will hold up well when both of my kids are big enough to use it. Also, these things have great resale when your children outgrow it.
All in all, very pleased with this item, and Step 2 Customer Service is excellent. Highly recommend this item, and almost every Step 2 Product.

The kitchen looked very impressive from the pictures on line. It looked sturdy and very attractive. We were very disappointed when we opened the boxes and found it to be flimsy and many of the items did not match the picture. Great kitchen. Perfect size for children 2 and up. Only downfall thus far is that the top portion of kitchen tends to pull away from the counter-part of kitchen. I purchased this product for my daughter as a 2nd birthday present. She played for almost 4 hours. The following morning she got up and ran to play with the kitchen. She really loves it! It's an awesome kitchen but i believe there a few things that need improvement. The drawers pulls out a completely so they spend most of the time on the floor, the microwave is very difficult to open (I have to open it for my daughter because she can't open it herself),not enough food, and lastly I wish the kitchen came all ready with the holes pre-drilled so all you have to do is screw it together. Have fun putting this kitchn together! It took me about 4 hours. You will definetely need a screw gun.

My four year old daughter loves it. She cooks us dinner every night. I love the fact that it has all the appliances like a real kitchen. The light over the sink is really a nice touch. Its bright and illuminates the entire sink and cooking area. It even has a water sprayer for cleaning the dishes. The refrigerator has shelves inside and an icemaker, cold water and juice dispenser outside in the door. The utensils are just the right size for her little hands and are realistic. She absolutely loves it. My 11 year old daughter and 10 son even enjoys playing on it with her occasionally.

The only thing I would change is: the amount and variety of food that comes with it. I'm a cook (and so is she... she believes.) Having a few more pieces of meat (chicken leg or maybe a steak) and a few cans of canned food to go in the cupboard would be nice.

Overall, a wonderful product. Any little homemaker would love to own this lovely kitchen.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

We bought this for our daughter’s 1st birthday and she loves it! She is going to get many many years of fun out of this kitchen. We were considering a few different Step2 kitchens and ultimately decided to get her this one even though it maybe a little more then she needs right now. It’s a well made product that will last many years so we decided there was no reason to buy a smaller one now only to upgrade later. However I must say I still have my eyes on that “Grand Walk In Kitchen”! Kudos to Step2 for the stickers that come with it. They are not cheap paper stickers so if you miss stick them you are able to replace them without tearing or having those horrible white lines through them and they stay once stuck. I do wish it came with more food. We’ve been waiting well over a month to order the 101 piece play food assortment that has been unavailable. Hope it comes available soon.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

This is the 2nd kitchen we've bought thru Step2 in the past. The first was the Lifestyle Partytime Kitchen; when my daughter was 3 yrs old. Recently we were victims of a major flood (lost just about everything). The kitchen was one of the few items that survived the devastation. I was surprised to find that the electronics still worked; after being coated in mud & debris. Amazing! Sadly, we lost all the accessories that came with it. So we decided to buy a brand new one & upgrade to the larger Lifestyle Deluxe Kitchen. Both were easy to assemble, easy to clean, & extremely durable. Not to mention very cute! We've had many people comment that they wished their real kitchens were as nice! My daughter (who's now 5) just loves her new "big girl" kitchen! Highly recommend this great product!

My parents bought this kitchen for my 3 children (ages 9, 5 and 3 - the 9 year old with autism and severe disabilities) for Christmas this year! Although I must admit putting it together on my own (I am divorced) with a small time frame on Christmas Eve was a NIGHTMARE, it was well worth the stress! My kids play with this kitchen on a daily basis! It truly also includes a lot of imaginative play! I would highly recommend it (but be sure to have one or more sets of extra hands to help put it together!)

Our little girl was 20 mo. old when she got her kitchen. She loved it! Her daddy and I have been eating great "meals" since she got it. Everybody that comes over to play spends lots of time in the kitchen. They enjoy the burner sounds though we did have to teach our little one how to make them work. The kitchen is also very easy to move around. We did purchase extra food items to go with it and had no trouble finding storage space.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

My 17-month-old son has increased his imaginative play through the use of this play kitchen. We gave it to him for Chanukah, and his imaginative growth has been incredible since that time. I've watched him move the sprayer back and forth over dishes while making a "shhhhh" sound to imitate water spraying. He's placed plastic cookies and cakes on the oven tray and carefully placed it inside the oven to bake. Then, later on, he pulls it out and shares it with other family members. All at 17 months!!!

My 7-year-old daughter loves to play with this kitchen as well. It's a fun way for her to interact with her 17-month-old brother, in a way that she doesn't feel is too babyish.

This kitchen is my dream come true. It is amazing. My son loves it and spends hours playing with it. He got it for his second birthday. It has plenty of storage, very realistic appliances and it is very attractive. The only reason I give it four stars and not five is that there is essentially no counter space. The huge sink in the middle becomes a counter space. I would prefer if it only had a one side sink and a counter space next to it.

We bought this kitchen for our daughter's second birthday. She loves it. It's great that it makes real-life noises. After much research, considered other ones, I went back to this one. I bought it for my 4yr, 3 yr old grandsons for their birthday. They love to cook. The look on their faces was priceless. They forgot all about the other toys they got and started playing with their new kitchen. They found places to store the food, the dishes, the pots and pans. I wish it had come with more food. The electronic key pads with the appliances could have done abit more. Overall this was a big hit with the kids and myself. It was easy to put together, and it is sturdy enough for two boys. They will eventually share with their 1 yr old sister. Very happy customer.

This kitchen is adorable, just make sure you have somebody handy that is willing to use the power screwdriver, it takes about 1 and half hours to assemble it does however have great instructions and everything went well as it could, it does take some muscle for assembly though, some of the hole's are not predrilled for construction, but other than that we have twins and they love it, it's a super sturdy product, very nice my twins are 5 and not at all too big for it, i'm sure the will get at least 2-3 more years of play from it.. it's great

We brought the kitchen for our two and a half year old grandson and his one year old twin sisters. The first thing he does when he comes to our house is to say, "Let's go play in my new kitchen." He bakes fine pretend cookies and fries up a great burger!! He especially likes the boiling and sizzling sounds on the burner when cooking. The telephone, oven, dishwasher and microwave sounds are so awesome. The kitchen is larger enough for his twin sisters to be pushing buttons and opening doors (as 1 year olds will do) and still not bother the master chef TOO much.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

We got this for our girls 2nd birthday and it has been a HUGE hit! The next morning I could barely get them to eat breakfast. All they wanted to do was go play with their kitchen. They love how the stove cooks and boils - what a cool feature! My DH put it together in an hour and a half - although I should note that he's sort of gited when it comes to assembling things. I know from my own growing up that the play kitchen was the pinnacle of our toys. I have no doubt it will be the same for our girls as well. Great purchase!

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

This kitchen is large enough for all three of my kids to play at the same time, and they enjoy pretending to go grocery shopping and bring the food home and cook dinner. (I would recommend having a cash register and chopping cart to go with it!) We bought the large food set in addition, because it really doesn't come with very much. The kids love it!

This product is used in a day care home. Really want to buy walkin in kitchen but it was not available. With five children to play this kitchen doesn't have enough space for all to use at the same time.

Set this up for our granddaughter and it went pretty well. Few areas that were a bit ackward to reach but it went together fine. Might have been easier to have another persons assitance a few times. I think she will enjoy this for years to come.

I researched play kitchens for at least two months before purchasing this one. We couldn't be more pleased with it. It is durable and realistic. Our little girl who is 2.5 years old loves it! So do her brothers, ages 7 and 10. They play with her, too! This kitchen is well worth the money.

Our 16-month daughter has an absolute blast playing with the kitchen. Numerous compartments, plenty of sounds, a working light!! At night we practice cleaning up the kitchen as the plates/accessories are stowed away. Assembly was fairly easy; I'd recommend a power screwdriver BUT set the speed to slow. My only disappointment was not purchasing the play food assortment; the kitchen only comes with a few.

My 21 mo old son loves his kitchen. He generally has a short attention span for toys, but he will play with this continuously. It really stimulates creative play. He loves to push the buttons and hear the beeps, they are loud enough for him to enjoy but not annoying. The sprayer on the sink and "ice maker" on the fridge are so realistic. I would definitely recommend.

Although this may seem expensive to some, I believe it is worth it for the quality, durability and hours of fun my two boys (ages 1 and 3)have had with it. Plenty of space for both boys to play with it at the same time. It is easy to assemble and the doors fit just fine upon arrival. Only disappointment was the noises the appliances make - not too realistic, but still fun for kids to play with. I ordered a little tikes style 1st and was very unhappy with the storage space - no room for imagination to take place.

I purchased this for my 20 months daughter. It is a huge hit. I bought it as one of our family members also own it and it was Nicole's favorite toy at their house. It was very easy to assemble, and it is something she plays with daily. It has more features and sounds than I imagined. Indeed the only thing I would add is that the sounds are quiet and can be hard to hear. Also, our refrig door is hard to open and tight. I am hoping with use that loosens. Otherwise, great investment and so worth the money. I had purchased a cheaper kitchen but I wish I had just bought this one first.

My 3 yr old recieved this item for christmas and the whole time we were opening presents she would stop, go play kitchen then come back and open another present or two. The only thing my husband and I could think of adding is a few more food items. Still 3 weeks later she plays in it at least twice a day if not more.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

I (Santa) bought this kitchen for my 4year old this past Christmas. I bout it about a month early because I thought it may be on back order since it's so popular, but to my surprise was at my office in a couple weeks. She LOVES it! It is quite large and there are lots of cabinets and plenty to keep her entertained. Her father is mechanical, so although there are a lot of pieces, it wasn't difficult to put together. A little time consuming, but with a cordless, hand held drill is was simple. I love Step5 products!

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

My three year old wanted this kitchen for Christmas sooo bad. Well Santa did not disappoint her. Emily got her kitchen, and has been loving it ever since. The sounds of the oven and the microwave and dishwasher, just excite her... most of all she loves the phone. She brings me "lunch" when I'm working, and spends a lot of time with it. We were considering the walk in kitchen, but decided to go with this one, and I'm glad we did or the big sisters wouldn't have been able to join. We put the table and chairs nearby and her big sisters (ages 12 and 11) will sit in them and be "served" by their baby sister. The older girls joined their sister at the table many many times and had real lunches with her in her new "kitchen and dining room." Their little sister was so proud that her big sissies wanted to be in her play room! :-)

We did get the kitchen missing the silverware drawer, but she didn't seem to notice. We called Step2 and they are sending it over asap, so she does not have to go without. Thanks, Step2!
