The biggest problem is that the board came with no supplies. There should be at least recommendations for the supplies that should be used. I would recommend only if you give a list or send some samples of what to use on the easel.

I gave it to my 3 1/2 year old twin girls for Christmas. But, I had to hunt down some dry erase markers and an eraser. The markers have a really toxic smell. So I am hunting again for some that don't smell so bad. That's the only thing I didn't like about it - no supplies! Otherwise, my girls love it and play on it every day!

My daughter loves this easel. She does chalk on one side and can draw on paper, paint, or use her letter magnets on the other. This will also be great for a play date because both sides can be used at once. There is a clip on each side to hang paper too. This easel is very sturdy and snaps together in minutes. I love how it comes with different color letter and number magnets that she loves playing with and keep her pretty busy. She is only 22 months, but very active. I know that this easel will just grow with her. Thanks step 2 for another great product!

My 2 1/2 year old loves using the easel. This is his first chalk board and he has drawn over the whole thing with chalk. It is also very durable as it has held up with him crawling through the middle between the chalkboard and the magnetic board. The only improvement would be a dispenser for a roll of drawing paper.

This was a Christmas gift for my 2 1/2 year old twins. They have really been enjoying scribbling on the chalkboard. It is a little difficult for them to slip paper under the clips but they should be able to do it once they are a little taller.
I am keeping the magnetic letters out of reach until they are a little older (and don't have to put everything in their mouths) because the letters are a little small and I am concerned that the tiny magnets glued on the back could come off if chewed on.
We are using sidewalk chalk but it might be nice if it included chalk and an eraser for straight out of the box all-in-one play.

This product was great -- able to remove from the box and use immediately with no assembly required (which is important for a 2 year old). It comes with magnetic letters and numbers, but does not come with any dry erase markers or chalk.

Christmas is just 10 days away so I hope that the lopsidedness won't be too much of a problem for the children. I got the last 2 at the store or else I would return them to hopefully get more stable units.

We got this for our 3 year old daughter last year for Christmas, and it is still a big hit. Even to this day, she still plays with it. From drawing with her dry erase markers to playing with the magnets that came along with it. We purchase a lot from Step 2, and have yet to be disappointed. If your child is creative, this is definitely the perfect product.

The easel itself is a great product. Well built and sturdy. My toddler has written with crayon, marker, chalk, you name it and every surface has cleaned easily. My one complaint is that the letters and numbers included are small and could pose a choking hazard. I put them away for now and replaced them with sets which are much larger and safer.

My 18-month old daughter loves to draw! The easel is perfect and she looks so cute using it. The magnetic letters that come with it are a bit too small (choking hazard) for her to use yet, though. We're saving them for later. It's a durable easel and the clips on both sides make it easy to use a variety of types of paper. Being the little monkey that she is, she occasionally crawls on the yellow tray that connects both sides of the easel. I know the easel isn't built for that type of use, but it handles it well! All in all, it's a great product that we will likely use for the next several years.

We got this easel for our daughter when she was a little over 2. She loves this toy and plays with it every day. It was east to put together, and has remained durable. She uses the magnet side to play with her letters all the time. And we use the other side for her artwork. The clip at the top works well to hold a large sheet of paper for drawing. I would definitely recommend this easel!

I love this easel! I got it for my daughter on her third birthday. It is extremely functional with the chalk board, dry erase board and clips for paper. She draws and paints on it as well. I love the fact that it just folds up so it is easy to store away. Also when my other daughter gets big enough they can play on it together since it has two sides. Great product!

My husband and I are both artistically inclined and when our 15 month old son started showing interest in sidewalk chalk and crayons, we were quick to start looking for an easel. It was an immediate hit! Initially, he had fun with the chalkboard, dry erase board, and coloring with crayons on paper attatched to the clip. At two, he is now taking a real interest in the magnetic letters as well. It is constructed well with no sharp corners or anything that pinches. At 15 months, of course he used crayons and markers on the chalk board side and vice versa, which all cleaned easily with a magic eraser. Now, he also likes to crawl through the tunnel created by the two sides and climbes over the tray, proving that it is also sturdy. I only wish that it automatically came with MORE letters for spelling and a coloring pad. I'm sure this is something that will grow with him for years to come.
