My 3 year old DAUGHTER got the workbench for her birthday and LOVED it. The only problem was when both girls (6 and 3) were building and wouldn't share. This additional set of "wood pieces" enables them to both build at the same time. Great, durable product! Fun, imaginative, and builds fine motor skills too!

My five year old son loves this toy. This is big enough several people can sit around it and have enough room to play without being on top of one another. We did have some trouble assembling it though, one piece to the tower had a dowel on both ends. My husband had to remove the dowel and drill a hole in the end so that the next peice could screw into it. Without a drill I don't know that it would have gone together properly.
Great product and very entertaining

This product comes with many great ideas for building projects. I purchased this set to add to the pieces that come with the workshop. It's always nice to have lots of extras. It gives my son a chance to build many projects at once.

Bought this to supplement the Real Projects Workshop for my almost 4 year old. He definitely needs some help putting the projects together, but it is good for "together" time.

Got these as a 'refill' pack for the workbench. Keeping them around for when the original pieces get torn or worn. Wish they were real wood though.

I really liked the product. We purchased the work bench and the tools and the blocks as a set at the store, and my kids played a lot with this game and lost a lot of the little parts, and the tools. So , I was happy to purchase the blocks although I would be happy if I could purchase again the tools as well. We can do without them, but they were a lot of fun for my son, 2 years old.

My 3 1/2-year-old son had gotten a complete set of toy tools in his very own toolbox. He was a regular Mr. Fixit - only he had nothing to "fix". He just had the tools so he pounded on anything and everything in my house. "I have to fix it, Mom". I looked and looked for a safe set of things he could build or fix with his tools and was unsuccessful to the point of considering to create my own. I just hadn't figured out a SAFE way to make wood pieces with holes to screw and hammer on. Then I saw the Soft & Sturdy? Building Projects by Step2. The projects DO NOT NEED toy tools to assemble but my 3-yr-old doesn't know that.
To build the projects as shown on the box, my son needs adult help. The only big con is that some of the same pieces are used in several of the projects shown. Invariably my son will have something built and want to build another to play with them together...but can't because the main part is already in the first item.
Perfect gift for many hours of fun!
