[...] Great for young children but the mat is a puzzle?? You have to sit on the outside and if you lean on it, it knocks everything over, the mat could be better made but the other parts are great for 2-3 year olds.

Perfect for groups of two-year olds. Enough pieces and people for several children. The train stays on the tracks, and tracks don't come apart!! Our church-based Childen's Day Out program loves it!

We love this. The quality is fantastic. The only suggestion I have to make this a better product is that a rollup,carpet-like playmat,instead of the jigsaw puzzle type playmat, would be easier to move around and travel with. The mat is large enough it doesn't fit on a standard table and so I have to put it together and leave it out on the floor. This is a bit inconvenient.

Our 2 year old daughter loves this collection, especially the train which is easy for her to use. However we wish the train held more passengers and had more cars, and that the track could be expanded.

Just one thing... it would've been better if a boat or a ship was in this set (instead of the beach going family) to complete the theme of this collection.

It is not weather resistant due to the electronics in the sound features, and the play mat is a bit flimsy. Other than that it is adorable and my kids love it!

I love this product and so do my two boys. They are one and four and they love to play mainstreet village! We have three collections and hope to get them all. The only cons that I would say are that the mat that they come with could be a bit more durable, and they are a bit pricey.

These are GREAT little playsets!! We bought 2 of the large sets for our daughters and they have not stopped playing with them since they arrived!! I really loved how each set had sooooo many people and vehicles!! Plenty to go around for everyone!! PERFECT toy for your little ones!!

A great collection of things, BUT some of the pieces (the people, especially)are TOO SMALL for the 18 month age recommendation. The feet actually broke off of one of the play people. The nose of the plane doesn't stay connected to the rest of the plane, and the truck and camper don't connect securely. The puzzle-like playmat is neat, but impractical unless you have a low table that it can be set up on. The train track pieces also do not connect securely -- we ended up taping it together to avoid frustration. We like the realistic noises that the pieces make (train, airplane, camp stove), but many of the pieces make no noise (a plus or a minus, depending!) This was a gift to us -- I probably wouldn't have purchased it myself.
