On July 25, 2012 Step2 became the second employer in Ohio to become a part of the program I.M.A.G.E (ICE Mutual Agreement between Government and Employers).
According to Cleveland.com this program is an “an agreement between employers, who pledge to employ only authorized workers, and the government, which agrees to help the companies navigate laws and requirements regarding the workforce.”
In order to participate in I.M.A.G.E, a company must:
- Enroll in the E-Verify program within 60 days
- Establish a written hiring and employment eligibility verification policty that includes internal Form I-9 audits at least once per year
- Submit to a Form I-9 inspection
The ceremony to honor Step2 took place in Strongsville, Ohio. CFO, James H. Smith was excited about this honor and stated, “”We’re really proud to participate in this program.”
