Customer ReviewsRated 4 out of 5 by Steep hill Fred from The 'can' is sturdy and has held up We have used this trash can for our weekly pick up for the last 18 years and it has held up remarkably well EXCEPT the wheels have had to be replaced just about yearly and the tie down straps break infrequently. Our biggest complaint is that our local store in Streetsboro, OH has closed and when we went to the office the manager stated that all replacements have to be ordered on line and it will take about a week to get replacement wheels. That is unacceptable since we will have to drag the can to the end of our 300 foot driveway which is on a steep hill. We are going to try to replace the wheels with wheels we purchased a Lowes. VERY BAD designDate published: 2014-06-27Rated 5 out of 5 by flsparrow from Wish I had another!!! We have had this since before Hurricane Erin (1995) and it is a champ!Best thing since sliced bread for garden and yard clean up, especially after storms here in Florida. It tolerates the sun and heat and holds LOTS of branches, clippings etc. when cleaning up.The wheels have finally given up so will be calling for replacements. This has outlived two other brand named, sturdy trashcans. Every homeowner should get one and consider it a good long term investment!I would like to buy another, but it has been difficult to find locally.Date published: 2009-11-21Rated 4 out of 5 by kidcrazy24x7 from Great for big family As a family of 8, we generate (unfortunately) a LOT of trash! These garbage cans have been a great help as our children trade off the chore of hauling them to the curb. No problems and even our 8 year old can manage all 3 of our cans. The only issue we had, mainly because of rough waste management workers, is that our lids are all cracked. I assume that we can get replacements and look forward to getting them to keep the raccoons out! I wish we'd found these sooner.Date published: 2009-06-27Rated 5 out of 5 by dannibalthecannibal from The last trash can I'll ever buy! Recommended 5/5! The best thing about this trash can is that it's narrow. Like most other garages in the United States and Canada, the space between the garage-door guide and the adjacent wall is only 24". Because the Big60 is exactly 24" narrow, it hugs up against the wall nicely. Also, because it's heavier duty and has wheels, it was easy to roll to the end of the driveway for trash collection. This will be the last trash can I ever buy; it's that good.Date published: 2017-01-04Rated 5 out of 5 by Day Care Diva from grrreat i bought this amazing can about 4 months ago, It has done away with pesky racoon invasions and dumping dogs.I am horrified to learn that my municipality finds it toooo big, lol, what a bunch of whining babies. I have to get two small ones that will blow over in the wind. I would definitly recomend this to friends and family as long as they do not live in Equimalt bcDate published: 2008-02-05Rated 5 out of 5 by LHCAZ from Industrial quality We inherited this Big 60 with the house we bought, and it is so impressive that I believed it was an industrial grade can the trash company had supplied. We don't know how old it is, but we've had it 5 years and it holds up to the Arizona sun. Finally needed a wheel and lid straps and I was shocked to learn Step 2 sells parts (at ridiculously cheap prices).Date published: 2008-08-31Rated 5 out of 5 by Fac Mgr from Have Had one for 7 years At the First Congregational Church, we've used this as our main transport of full trash bags to the dumpster. After 7 years of rolling across slate floors and uneven concrete parking lots, the wheels finally split. They were replaced (very inexpensively) and we're rolling again!Date published: 2008-01-28Rated 4 out of 5 by Big Mc from Big 60 by Step2 These units are extremely sturdy and durable. I have owned mine (qty. 3) for twenty years and they have held up very well. The only issue I have is the hold down straps break too soon and the replacement straps are a hair too short once installed.Date published: 2008-01-27
