Customer ReviewsRated 5 out of 5 by Lindsey at SEBG from A Sand & Water Table with a FULL Lid! Thank you to Step2 for letting me test this item as part of the Step2 Ambassadorship Program. After owning the Splash & Scoop Baby Sand & Water Table for a couple of years, I decided it was time for an upgrade. I chose the Cascading Cove table for 2 main features - the umbrella and the full lid. I am absolutely in love with this table and see it lasting for many years for my girls! The size is perfect - even when they want to play on the same side, there's plenty of room for my 3 and 4 year old. The table is deep so it holds plenty of both sand and water. The added accessories that come with the table are a nice bonus too.The umbrella is such a nice addition. Although we haven't had much sun in February, I can definitely see it being useful when the sun starts shining brighter. The lid - oh that lid! Our previous table only had a lid for 1 side and it made it hard to keep clean. This lid not only goes over the whole table, but secures with built-in cables on the side that are easy to attach quickly when my girls are finished playing.Date published: 2015-02-24Rated 5 out of 5 by TheRyRy from Sand/water fun without the Beach crowd! Thank you Step2 for providing us with this product to test as part of your toy tester program!Unboxing/Set-up -The box is huge, but fortunately it's not very heavy, just a little awkward due to its size. The table comes in less than 10 main pieces with accessories for the sand (shovel and bucket) and water (two boats). With sand on hand and water ready, it took about 15 minutes to assemble and fill both sides of the table.in use -My two year old son, Lincoln, loved using the shovel to fill the bucket with sand and just running the sand through his fingers. He later decided that the water side needed some sand and that the surrounding play area needed both water and sand!clean up-despite how messy my son got, clean up of the table itself was easy! I drained the water side and allowed the sand to dry before I covered the table and moved it aside.Summary -overall, I was very happy with how my son took to this product. I was afraid he'd be bored with it rather quickly, but if it wasn't 100 degrees outside he might still be out there playing with it now!Date published: 2015-03-17Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Just what the Dr. Ordered!!! I bought this for my Great Grandaughter because she loves to stand in a chair and play in my dishwater. She fell out of the chair so I saw this item and now she can play in the water and not get hurt. Love it!!Date published: 2015-04-14Rated 5 out of 5 by Cindi from Love our purchase! After reviewing a lot of different tables we chose this one and couldn't be more happier. Our girls will play with this sand table every day and still never get bored of it.Date published: 2016-07-20Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Sand and water This hasn't been used yet due to weather. My daughter can't wait for her son to play with this. It has protection from the sun. You decide what to fit with. Wonderful learning toy! Nephew cannot leave it alone. Sand and water combo, what else could a child ask for!!Date published: 2017-03-01Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from Great! The table came with only two legs, however, I called and two legs were sent in just a couple of days.Date published: 2017-05-18Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Perfect backyard toy Purchased for my 3yo niece. She loves it and spends hours playing between to water and sand.Date published: 2017-01-31Rated 5 out of 5 by siobhan from Great sensory toy Love the sensory between sand and water for my sonDate published: 2016-12-18Rated 5 out of 5 by remberto from I like the product and think buy others from the brand Really good and good material to nice!Date published: 2017-01-03Rated 5 out of 5 by See Vanessa Craft from Perfect for siblings & sensory play! Thank you to Step2 for letting me test this item as part of the Step2 Ambassadorship Program! The Cascading Cove Sand & Water Table is large enough for BOTH of my kiddos to play (mostly) nicely at. I love that it's split up into 2 sections so they can each have their own space to play in without fighting (thank you Step2 from the bottom of this mama's heart). I also really like the attached umbrella to keep the UV rays at bay. And the LID! A lid is a must have for us desert dwellers, who have to deal with things like scorpions that like to hang out in sandboxes (ack!).The table comes with a few accessories that we loved. A shovel/rake for scooping, a little cup for pouring, 2 toy boats and 2 bridges are included. My kids loved the built in slides around the table, where they could slide the boats around on. You can add sand on one side and water on the other or get creative and use it as a large sensory table, like we do!With a few materials that I already had on hand, we turned our water & sand table into DINOLAND. To create your own DINOLAND, you'll need gem floral fillers, moss, beans, sticks and dinosaur toys. Fill one side with the gems and add water. Fill the other side with beans, moss and sticks. Add in the dinosaur toys. My kiddos played with their new dino sensory bin for HOURS. I love listening in on their play and the scenarios they concoct up using their imagination.Date published: 2015-02-05Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Absolutely wonderful! Thank you to Step2 for letting me test this product as part of the Step2 Ambassador program! This is our third water table in 1.5 years (but first Step2 table). The first had such flimsy legs that they bowed and broke when too much rain water collected in the table, and the second allowed water to pool inside the plastic tub (underneath where the water should be) and mold and mildew grew all over the table. After reading more about this table I couldn't wait to try it.Assembly went very quickly and the directions were easy to follow. I picked up a bag of sand at a home improvement store and my little guy was playing with this table within 15 minutes of opening the box.I love the fact that there are two separate areas for sand (or any other sensory material you'd like to use - rice, beans, etc) and water. The accessories that come with the table are very cute and my son especially loves the two red bridges on the water side. He gets a real kick out of floating the boats underneath the bridges. Each side has it's own drain/plug. They're quite adequate and have not leaked at all. The plugs themselves fits great within the table so water doesn't leak around them and inside of the unit (this was the problem with our last table). These plugs have worked perfectly for us.The included umbrella is a great touch - especially for those of us living in the South. We'll be able to play with this table year-round and will likely need the umbrella most days. My favorite part of the the Cascading Cove Sand and Water Table (besides the extremely sturdy, heavy-duty legs) is the lid! It's SO handy! We've got a lot of lizards and strange bugs here in Florida and I love that I can keep them out of the sand thanks to the lid.Overall, we're thrilled with this table. We've been using it for 2 weeks now and my little guy is really enjoying it.Date published: 2015-02-21
Q & A
Where does the locking ring with the screw in it go on the umbrella? The instructions seem to show it under the table which doesn't make any sense.Above the table. Date published: 2018-09-21
Are you suppose to fill the legs with anything it looks like it has a spot to fill them to make it more sturdy but the instructions do not specify? The table is actually very sturdy once assembled. More so when you fill with water and add the sand. No need to fill the legs with anything.Date published: 2018-06-30
Can I purchase a whole lid. The picture on the box when I bought it has a whole lid with the pull cords. The table came with half a lid. Which is stupid. That was probably a mistake! Mine came just as pictured. Date published: 2018-06-10Can a lid be purchased for other side?No the lid does not cover the whole table. it is only half the table. The picture shows a whole lid,. it is only a half. its stupid and I would not of purchased this item with half a lid. that doesn't stay secure.Date published: 2018-06-04I'm looking for a sand/water table that's a good size so there's plenty of space to play...it appears to be quite small...my daughter is 4 years old...what are your thoughts about the size? The table is actually 19" tall and not 23" as stated in the description. It's fine for the 16 month old but awfully low for the 3 year old.Date published: 2018-04-07Leaking at plug?NoneDate published: 2018-03-27What type of plastic is it made from? This product is made out of Linear Low Density Polyethylene.
