My almost 2 1/2 year old absolutely ADORES this product. He wants to play with it constantly. Even with the rain blowing around recently, I have not found any water inside. The Crabbie Sand Table is extremely easy to assemble & fill. Cleaning it has not been a hardship at all. It is the perfect height for toddlers and gives us the ability to play in the sand even when it gets too chilly to go to the beach & without the drive. Also, the sand tools that come with the Crabbie Sand Table for the kids are so easy to store with the table. I can't recommend this toy enough.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Totally worth it I got this item to test it as part of the Step2 toy testing program.It arrived in great condition it was so easy to put together my 4 year old son actually assembled it. The legs fit perfectly and they come with 3 screws that can be added with a hand screw or with a power tool.It came with a set of playing cups and shovels, plus it has folding spots in the side for when not in use. The cover is just a lid and so light weight that my 2 year old and 3 year old can lift it off. It is pet friendly in the aspect that with the lid on you don't have to worry that your dog, cat or neighbors pet does not use the sand as a litter box. This keeps it clean for the little ones to play.All in all I loved it and my kids loved it!

    Rated 1 out of 5 by from Difficult Assembly This is adorable, but there are no predrilled holes for the screws. So this makes assembly extremely difficult. After sitting on hold with customer service for 25 minutes, they told me that it's not supposed to have predrilled holes but the screws are self-tapping. I'm afraid I'll try to put them in the wrong place and ruin the thing. I would return but this was a gift and I already discarded the box. Hesitant to purchase step2 items in the future.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Doesn't make us Crabbie! My little one has been asking for a sand box/table for a little bit. This one is perfect! It's elevated, so it's easy for him to use. He really liked the 2 shovels and 2 buckets that came with it. It's small, in a good way- doesn't take up much space, but has plenty of room for building and creating. I love that there is a lid so the sand stays clean!Thank you to Step2 for letting me test this item as part of the Step2 toy tester program.

    What color are the legs of this sand box?

    I am putting mine together, but there are no holes for the screws. Is this normal? Am I supposed to drill holes?

    Our screws are self tapping screws that are able to go through the plastic. You may need to start them with a hammer. Please follow the instructions or find the indents in the plastic to line up the screws correctly. We do this in an effort to ensure that no shavings inadvertently are left over in the box as a result of pre-drilling. These shavings could pose a choking hazard to little ones.

    The interior dimensions for the Crabbie Sand Table™ are as follows : interior width side to side 16.5 inches interior width front to back 15.5 inches interior depth 5 inches

    Is this suitable for a 4 year old and until what age will he be able to use it comfortably?

    I would say 2-5 is a good age for it. My 6 year old uses it, but it is kind of small for a bigger kid.

    I need to put the legs on my sand table but there is no hole to put the screw through so the legs keep falling off. Does anyone have a suggesting for how to put it together?

    The screws are what we call self tapping and will make their own holes. What you can do to help get these started, very gently take a small nail and tap it into the area where the screw will go.

    we haven't yet. If you use water you will have to empty out the water/ no plug available. My grandchildren love the Crabbie Sand Table.
