Customer ReviewsRated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from Great fun for kids for hours. I'm the proud parent of 16-month old triplets (yes, 3 babies, one time) and these kiddos love their new grand walk-in kitchen. A lot of family thought they'd be too young for a kitchen but it's amazing the amount of pretend play they engage in already. They love to stir their pots and coffee pots (obviously still figuring some of this kitchen stuff out) but it's very fun when they run over to have me try their new concoction of pineapple grape soup. A few of the accessories are probably too small for them at this age (potential choking hazards) but those are all bagged separately so just make sure you look through and decide what's appropriate for your kid. My one complaint is that the assembly is a bit of a pain as many of the holes weren't pre-drilled and we were lucky to have a power drill to take care of that. Overall, the assembly took about an hour. Overall though, it's a great purchase and will offer hours of entertainment for your kids. It really captivates mine in a way no other toy does.Date published: 2017-01-03Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Yes, I would recommend this! I bought this kitchen set for my 4 year old granddaughter for Christmas! She LOVED it!! The product was easy to put together but is very detailed. However, the details are incredible and make this set feel like a real kitchen! It surpassed my expectations. I would recommend it!Date published: 2017-01-04Rated 5 out of 5 by CLARENCE from Fun for all ages My kids love their new kitchen. A little hard to keep all food that goes to the kitchen in the kitchen but i find they act out what they just saw us doin to make their own meals. Even the older kids (10+) gravitate to it when they all go and play. Glad Santa delivered! ;-)Date published: 2017-01-05Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Grand walk in kitchen review! Awesome! Would like to start by saying thank you to Step 2 for letting me participate in the Step 2 toy tester program. This kitchen is very durable, easy to assemble, and realistic. My 3 year old son loves the sounds all the food that came with it. Keeps him busy for hours!Date published: 2015-10-01Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from Great toy My daughter loves the kitchen. It was fairly simple to assemble. It takes some time but not difficult at all. Pieces were missing from the order which wasn't great because it was her Christmas present but Step 2 was great about sending them out in a timely fashion.Date published: 2017-01-05Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Love this kitchen!!! This has been one of the best toys I have ever purchased for my kids. They both love it and play with it non stop. They wake up and immediately start playing with it and they have even become interested in cooking! Thank you step 2!!!Date published: 2017-06-03Rated 5 out of 5 by Marisa from Amazing Kitchen This kitchen is amazing! My 18 month old daughter loves it and is great quality. It does take some time to set up and an electric hand drill is helpful but once it is together, it is wonderful!Date published: 2016-12-04Rated 5 out of 5 by Working mom of two from Fun for One or More Thank you to Step 2 for letting me test this item as part of the Step 2 Toy Tester Program.MY FAVORITES: DURABLE, easy to clean, storage compartments, great for kids of a wide age range. My 3 year old loves use her imagination as she creates meals or mimics other people she watches in their kitchens prepare meals. There is enough space and is versatile enough that my daughter and her 2 cousins (ages 7&9) play with the kitchen together. This kitchen will be main toy in our home for at least another 4 years. The investment is well worth it. What surprised me was the over 100 toy food and cooking utensils that was included with the kitchen. The boxes were light enough for me to lift as a mom and easy enough for me to assemble by myself. It might have taken a little over 1 hour to assemble. That includes all the stickers. The sound affects on the stove and phone make it seem more like a "real kitchen" to my daughter. The padded floor is a nice touch. The long stretch of counter space makes it easier for me to play along with her. My daughter also pulls up her toy baby high chair to the counter.Date published: 2015-09-24Rated 5 out of 5 by Melita from Satisfied with my purchase! We are giving this kitchen to our granddaughter for Christmas. Had a couple parts that needed to be replaced and they quickly replaced them. Their customer service is A+.Date published: 2016-12-14Rated 5 out of 5 by Leonard from I would buy it again and again I really love this kitchen and the way it's designed...my girls love that it's spacious and you can walk in and out. It's also big enough so multiple children can play.Date published: 2016-12-30Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Hours of fun for everyone First let me say a BIG thanks to Step 2 for allowing us to be a toy tester. The kitchen was delivered in a timely manner and came in 2 large boxes. There was no hiding it from the kiddos, which was okay because the assembly was super easy. The only setbacks we had were a few holes not pre drilled. In the end it took about 45 minutes with stickers and all.My 3 year old daughter can't get enough of this kitchen. She pretends to be like mommy and daddy and practices her skills of cooking while baking on one side and washing dishes on the other. This kitchen really covers all aspects... setting the table, preparing foods and condiments, making tea, etc...The only con I have found is the lack of storage space. There is plenty of room under the stove to allow for storage but it's not set up that way. Does that bother my daughter, no. I just feel like it is wasted space. Other than that, my only concern is that since we've gotten this kitchen I've been late to work a few times. My daughter sits me at the attached counter and makes me coffee and donuts in the morning. Sometimes she forgets to wash the dishes the night before.Date published: 2015-10-28Rated 5 out of 5 by Doug the dad from Super engagement for my daughter with sensory issues! Thank you to Step2 for letting me test this item as part of the Step2 toy tester program. My 4yo daughter loved this toy! She has a sensory processing issues and is not typically able to engage with one toy very long however she played with this for over an hour the first day. This thing is large and has a lot of cabinets and food toys. Her favorite was the cell phone and the burner which are the two pieces that will make noises. The kitchen floor is squishy so she was able to kneel down and lay down in the kitchen. She really enjoyed going through all the cabinets and making plates of food. She even "fed" some to dear ol' dad. We had a great time playing with this and have played with the kitchen every day since then.Putting it together I had to use a second small screwdriver to remove the burner screws but other than that I had no issues putting it together. All in all was very easy it took me about an hour including stickers. Let me tell you I am not the best at putting stickers on but these were easy. Some of the stickers that look large and daunting are actually split into two smaller sections so they are nice and easy to put up.Date published: 2015-09-21Rated 5 out of 5 by Shalimar from Grand Walk-in Kitchen It's great. We tested this product as part of the toy tester program. My kids (5 y.o. and 3 y.o.) have absolutely loved this kitchen! They've had other kitchens in the past, but this kitchen has kept them busy for hours! They've been able to use the kitchen in multiple imaginative scenarios such as, playing house, diner/restaurant, drive-through, and more. This kitchen allows for several kids to play at the same time, which is nice. I was amazed at the amount of accessories that were included in this set (from food to dishes). What was most frustrating about the kitchen is that the storage isn't well thought out. I love the baskets, but I wish the cabinets were a bit deeper and contained shelves. I'm sure with some creativity, I can organize better, but for now, we've been able to make it work. This, however, is not a problem for the kiddos- that is a "mom problem!"The kitchen came in 2 large boxes delivered to my door. There will be no sneaking it by anyone! Assembly was fairly easy and the instructions were simple to follow. The manual tells you that a screw driver is the only tool you'll need, however, my husband has turned me on to a love of power tools so I used a battery powered drill.Overall, I'm really impressed with this toy and would recommend it to someone (who has the space for something so large!)Date published: 2015-10-16Rated 5 out of 5 by Shana Lynn from Inspiring My Little Chef Thank you to Step2 for letting me test this item as part of the Step2 toy tester program. This amazing toy arrived at our home last week and after about an hour of easy assembly time, was ready for our almost 4 year old son to play with. He was instantly drawn to the sounds the phone made and pretended to call his grandparents and his cousins. When he ventured further into his new walk-in-kitchen he realized how much there was to explore and immediately started opening all the doors and toy appliances to see what was inside. This toy comes with so many great accessories that there is no need to purchase anything additional. There is also ample storage for everything, so my son was able to pick the places he wanted each of the accessories (food, utensils, etc) to go. Once he gathered together some food, he set up the pots and pans and started to cook for us. He loved the sounds that the different pots and pans made when they were put on the stove top. This is a great feature as it makes the feeling of cooking in the kitchen even more realistic. We were so pleased to see how much this toy instantly stimulated his interest and creativity. We look forward to our almost 2 year old daughter being able to use this toy soon as well. There is more than enough room for both of them to be able to play at the same time which is a wonderful bonus. In summary, I highly recommend this toy to any family with young children.Date published: 2015-09-23Rated 5 out of 5 by TDsGoodThing from Great Toy Kitchen! First, I'd like to thank Step2 for allowing us to test this item as part of the Step2 toy tester program. We got the Grand Walk-In Kitchen as a replacement for my 3 and 1 year old daughters' smaller kitchen made by another company. The Step2 Kitchen was very easy to assemble and the instructions were clear and simple to follow. I was able to get it fully assembled in about 30 minutes. I will note that I used a power drill to drill pilot holes in the small indentions that marked where the screws should be placed, as well as to power drive the screws into place (on low torque). This proved to be much easier than using a manual screwdriver and cut assembly time down significantly. As a stay at home mom, I always want to provide my children with great, educational toys that stimulate their imagination and are also fun! This kitchen is just that! It comes with so many realistic features and a large number of play food items, utensils and other accessories (the little potholder and a salt/pepper mill were two of my favorites). I like how realistic the food looks and it's the perfect size for kids. Plus, it's all plastic so it's easy to clean/sanitize. The stove top has a real working burner that lights up and bubbles when the pot is placed on it and sizzles with the skillet. There's a fridge, cabinets and storage baskets for some of the food but you will probably have to store the remaining food in something else.My girls literally played with this kitchen for nearly 2 hours the first day we had it and it is still a big hit two weeks later. Its large size is perfect for 2-3 children to comfortably play at one time. I would highly recommend this kitchen to anyone with young children! It truly is a great toy that will get lots of use for many years to come!Date published: 2015-10-02
