Customer ReviewsRated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from FANTASTIC purchase!! I bought this motorcycle for my son's 2nd bday after seeing one at the park. I assembled it the night before (only took me about 30 min)and had it waiting in the morning. His face was priceless and he jumped right on and zoomed around the house all morning! When we took it outside all the neighborhood children crowded around. I think there will be many more of these motorcycles on our block after Christams!!He has riden it EVERY SINGLE DAY since his bday and loves it, I couldn't be more pleased!!Date published: 2009-12-14Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Great Fun Inside or Out This was a Christmas gift for my 2 year old. It is the most played with gift he received this year. It is small enough he can zoom around the house on it without banging up the walls! He rides it all day long and takes his teddy bears for rides on it too. The very first time he got on it and gave a push, he relized that it would take some balancing, but since then, he's had no real problems with it tipping over. It was easy to put together and seems very durable. I am so glad we got this for him.Date published: 2008-01-13Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Excellent toy I purchased 2 of these - one or each of my twin children - one boy & one girl. They hopped right on them once they were built. My son pressed the handle expecting it to move via batteries, but then got the hang of it. They mount them and start cruising frequently. Excellent balance training and use of motor skills. The only negative is that the front axle is either too long or is missing a 'nut' - the hub caps fit very loosely and spin around. This does not affect use of the motorcycles.Date published: 2008-12-29Rated 5 out of 5 by Proud Pappa from Wow, my boy loves it! My boy just turned 1 year old and I got it for his birthday; he loves it! He can't go fast on it yet as he can't quite coordinate his feet because he just started walking, but it helps him with his balance and it makes for great fun when I push him around the house. (it's definitely safe if your 1 year old is big like mine, otherwise, i'd wait 'till 18 months or so).He gets upset if I don't do it fast enough!Since he can't say bike he calls it his "vroom-vroom". Great experience.Date published: 2007-11-12Rated 4 out of 5 by Twice the Fun from Great fun for a great price. My 2 1/2 year old son loves this motorcycle, so much so that when he rides it you must refer to him as "motorcycle guy". We primarily use it in the house without any problems. My only concern with this bike and the reason why I marked "unsafe features" is that there was some extra plastic on the top seam between the handle bars and my son actually scraped his chin on it enough to bleed and leave about an inch long mark. Other than that the experience has been a good one.Date published: 2008-11-06Rated 4 out of 5 by nanny of 5 from Grandson loves this motorcycle This was bought for my grandsons 2nd birthday,He wears 24 months and 2t in clothing to give you his size. The motorcycle was a little to tall for his feet to touch completely to the floor so he has turned over a lot,So we are using it indoors only right now,But his 3 year old sister has problems with balance riding it.But I still have to add that they both love it! and as he grow's into it the tipping over will stop! I would suggest the age fe this to be 2 1/2 yrs and up.Date published: 2008-09-26Rated 4 out of 5 by Judy School Marm from Preschoolers love these motorcycles! Our preschool already had about 5 of these, but the kids love to race them around the playground, and there's always an argument about who rides first, etc. So we wanted to get a few more to prevent the whining. What we like about these is that 2 year olds can use, but even the 5 year olds love to race them!I had a bit of a problem putting one set of wheels on this time...the holes just didn't fit the axle piece...i actually cut some off the plastic and made it work!Date published: 2014-11-21Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Love it! Love it! Love it! I love this toy. This was the first ride-on we ever bought for our son. He is three now and still loves this bike. We have to pack it and take it on trips. It's been thrown around and jumped on and it's still in one piece. I'm so glad it comes in pink because I've bought this bike for my nephew also. Now I can buy it for my niece . The handle is a little difficult to fit through the tiny holes when assembled but that is the only con. This is a high quality toy.Date published: 2007-10-18Rated 4 out of 5 by Mama's Little Minions from Cute Toy - Instructions Stink What ever happened to instructions being written and not just a bunch of poorly drawn pictures? Thanks to the less than helpful directions we missed putting a piece on this bike and thankfully it does not affect the function the point is if the directions were better this would not have happened. The bike itself is durable and my 2 and 4 year old both enjoy playing with it, I just expected better directions from such a large and well known company.Date published: 2016-03-21Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Motorcyle By Step 2 I love Step 2 products, they are nicely made and stand up to time. I have a day care in my home and I bought 4 of these motorcycles. The children in my care just love them! I always buy Step 2 because not only do they last but they are sturdy little pieces of fun for the kids.I have many Step 2 products that I have bought in the 18 years that I've been working with children in my home and I still have them and they are still in great condition.Date published: 2015-06-21Rated 5 out of 5 by WorkingMommy from We LOVE this! My son has used this for over two years. He has been a little too tall for it for a while now, but when I tried to take it away he had a fit because he loves it so much! He sits on the back of the bike instead of the seat to accomodate his height, so we are going to upgrade to a bigger bike. But this toy has held up very well - it is definitely worth every penny! Another plus - the plastic wheels will not scratch or mark up wood floors.Date published: 2008-06-12Rated 5 out of 5 by TTCK from Kids love it!! We bought the pink one for my 4 year old daughter and the red one for my 2 year old son for Easter! They love them! They both had out grown there little ride-on cars but still played with them so we thought these would be fun for them! They both are able to ride them very easily! We have had a few crashes but they get right back on them and go again! I love the fact that they are big enough for them but small enough to be inside the house!Date published: 2008-03-31Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Kids love it We bought two of these for our 4 1/2 yr old son and 2 1/2 year old daughter and both love them. The handlebar grips were a little difficult to put on, but we used a little hand soap and that made it easier to twist them on. One thing I find interesting - I just read that the recommended weight limit is 35 lbs and age is 3+; our son is 48 lbs and our daughter 30 lbs. - I don't know many kids 3 and older who weigh under 35 pounds...Date published: 2009-03-13Rated 4 out of 5 by Gramma/Nanny from Be sure your toddler is old enough! I was an enthusiastic purchaser as my 18 month old grandson LOVES cars, trucks, bikes. This was too cute and he HAD to have one! I was wrong to get it now. He is too young. He is big, but cannot keep it upright. He gets very frustrated and crys when it goes over(every time he tries to ride it) I will put it away and try again at 2. I love Step 2 products, I think I need to be patient. I hope he will love it in 6 months!Date published: 2008-01-03Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from Motorcycle madness I got it for my first nephew last year and he loves it, He was not yet two and liked it because he can pretty much just walk with it between his legs. Now he likes to pop wheelies and do little spins with it, even picks his feet up to coast a few times. I just got it for my second nephew and I look forward to watching him pretend with it and learn to ride it. I think it is nice, easy to get on and off from low to the ground.Date published: 2007-04-18Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from Would purchase this product again! Bought a red one for my son and a pink one for my daughter a few years ago! They have had alot of use out of them. Nephews & Cousins loved them when they come to visit! The kids all like riding them down my Mom's handicap ramp! They've outgrown them now, but they're still in perfect shape! I'm going to put them up and store them, pull them out again when my kids have kids! For a Blast from their past! :)Date published: 2012-05-30Rated 4 out of 5 by Mud from Initial rating is good Recommended Age limit seems a little too mature. My 2 year old fits it just right and is able to play with it no problem and he's on the small side. Looks cool and seems durable enough but time will tell. Assembly wasn't bad. Sometimes the illustrations were a little vague especially with the "hub caps". Needs Aprilia or Ducati Decals for the gas tank though. Overall very satisfied and highly recommend it.Date published: 2011-09-14Rated 5 out of 5 by Babysitter Jen from Excellent! Purchased as a birthday gift for very active two year old whose main concern is doing everything his four a pond seven year old brothers are doing. This little bike was perfect for him to ride when his brothers are riding their bikes! Strong, durable design is great for this active family! (The recommended age for this product is three years, but it's perfect for this physically active little guy!)Date published: 2015-07-23Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Love Them! I am not a fan of battery opperated ride-on toys, though there are some great ones out there. I beleive a child should put his/her energy to good use. My son loves this toy - it is light enough for him to pick up and move around the house. Love it and plan to buy it as a gift for a friends 2 year old son. Plus, I can't believe the reasonable price.Date published: 2008-03-11Rated 5 out of 5 by Mommy of One Active 3 y/o from My son loves this! My son got this as a Christmas present from his uncle about two years ago, he is now 3 1/2. He had some initial balancing and coordination problems, but once he he had it figured out we could barely get him off of it! Was a little more complicated to put together than I had thought from looking at the picture, but was still fairly easy. This motorcycle is very durable, my son abuses it daily ("crashing" (pushing) it down stairs, running into things, throwing it for "accidents", racing over the pebble sidewalk, rough road, hard packed dirt, grass, over sticks and anything that comes into his path. Now that he is bigger he makes it do wheelies and spin outs as well. It has been left out in all kinds of weather and has help up very well. He'll probably use this toy until it has been run into the ground, at which point I don't know what we'll do as he already cries if he is unable to play with it.Date published: 2010-08-22Rated 3 out of 5 by Anonymous from fast not really i bought this product directly from step two for my eighteen month twins it was very easy to assemble only fifteen minutes. the rubber on the handles was difficult to put on.the cycle is okay only a couple of issues. the handles do not turn so you can only go in a straight line and it is not that fast.but overall its not bad at all for the price the little one are enjoying the ride.Date published: 2009-02-25Rated 3 out of 5 by Anonymous from Fun toy but enthusiasm is short-lived We bought this product after my son tried it at a Recreation Center. He has played with it a couple of times but scoots across the house then gets off and moves on. He has had much more fun and use out of a car that he can push, ride, hide things under the seat, turn a key and steering wheel. He got bored pretty quickly when there is only one activity to the motorcycle.Date published: 2007-04-19Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from Loveable Toy My son loved the motorcycle, however he outgrew it quickly. He has been larger than kids his age since he was born. He quickly outgrew (within 5 months) the cycle but still loves it. Make sure your little one is wearing their play shoes, as they tend to drag them on the sidewalk. Oh, and don't forget their bicycle helmut! My two year old totally enjoyed this cycle.Date published: 2007-04-20Rated 5 out of 5 by Nikki's kids from We love it! I got this for my son who is 22 months old, and was a preemie, so he is a little short for his age. It was a little to tall for him at first but now he is learning to balance and ride with only one foot on the ground. He absolutly loves it, and so do the daycare kids!! I love it because it's teaching him balance, & because there are NO buttons that make noises!!Date published: 2008-08-07Rated 4 out of 5 by Auntie Nana from Fun Toy!!! I sent this toy to my nephew for his 1st birthday. Wow, is he ever having a blast enjoying his new motorcycle. His daddy, my brother, enjoys it since it is similiar to his real one, so they can pretend together. Age recommendation states for 18month plus, but at 12months this is turning out to be a great present. Not much to try to figure out on this one.Date published: 2008-03-12Rated 5 out of 5 by Maddie from Just like Grandpa's My Granddaughter loves her grandpa's motorcycle but she is much too small to ride on it he thought it would be nice for her to have one her size but just like his. When she saw it she was so excited, but due to her size it is still a little difficult for her to get off and to steer where she wants to go. It won't be long before she has it figured out though.Date published: 2009-03-03Rated 4 out of 5 by mickeyblueeyesmom from So much fun! My son, who is enthralled by all kinds of motorcycles, received this from us for his 2nd birthday. He absolutely loves it. It wasn't as easy to assemble as it appeared when it came out of the box and with my husband deployed, the neighbor's husband helped assemble it. It wasn't too hard except getting the rubber grips on the handle bars. *Hint: a little spray of Pam made the process much easier! My son loves it!!! He looks so cute riding it around the house. I would recommend it more as an indoor toy than out, only because I'm not sure how long the wheels would hold up with constant wear and tear up and down the driveway and I'm sure like all outdoor toys it would fade from the sun a bit.Overall, I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has a little one that loves motorcycles or just enjoys ride on toys. I like that it uses kid power instead of batteries, too. Next year we'll probably upgrade to the coaster bike!Date published: 2009-01-04Rated 1 out of 5 by Chloe's Mommy from DISAPPOINTING This product was very disappointing. I am returning it back to step2. The back wheels do not roll good at all and it is very difficult to maneuver. If step 2 put on rubber wheels, then it would be a great product. The platic wheels makes this a poor product. Don't waste your time and money. Look for something with rubber wheels that will roll easy.Date published: 2008-03-31Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from your average ride on toy Bought this toy over a yr ago for a 3 yr old. He liked it for a while but unfortunatly he isnt a fan of ride on toys so I was hoping this would entice him. Other kids have played with it includung ones that were a bit big for it and still enjoy it. Took 10 min or so to put together and has been left outside in the weather, still looks good.Date published: 2010-07-13

Doea it work well on a dirt road with small rocks?I have only used it on concrete. Since there is no traction, I doubt it wot be easy. The wheels are hard, smooth plastic plastic.
