Rated 3 out of 5 by from Where is a work bench for toddlers?!?! Overall, we were pleased with the realistic nature of the bench & wooden pieces and the overall quality of the items. Although the "wooden" pieces have many blueprints of projects for toddlers to make, the bench itself is quite small in height for our 3 & almost 5 year-old sons. The bench doesn't have ample storage for all of the "wooden" pieces which I dislike. I would like to see a bigger bench for toddler-aged children. There isn't one out there-this is the closest we found. Finally, the drill that came with the set didn't work when we opened it Christmas day, so our sons had to wait for a replacement drill to play with their present.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sturdy, well made, daughters love it. The workbench has been a huge success. My three year old loves "working on projects" with Daddy and is entertained for hours. The parts for the available projects are really well made and can stand up to the punishment a little girl with a toy hammer can dish out. The actual projects are a bit beyond her at this point but she'll grow into it. My only wish for improvement is that there was more storage for the actual project pieces - the lower shelf and the drawer can't hold all the parts. I pulled some containers from MY workbench (ha!) but that is what cost the fifth star; aside from that one issue this is the perfect product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent toy. Better than Handy Manny! For christmas our son received the Handy Manny work bench. It was incredibly flimsy plastic (esp. for [$]!!) and my son (who is 3 1/2) played with it and loved the voice of HM talking to him. The projects were limited and not that fun. Tiny parts were lost in a day or two. Then on the third day, they (i also have a 2yr old daughter) they knocked it over and Handy Manny's head fell off. I returned it and got this one for 1/2 the price and love everything about it. There are plenty of wood pieces and hardware to make more than one project. We love it and no matter how rough they "might" get, this thing is made to last. LOVE IT.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tool Time Fun! This was a last minute Easter gift for my youngest child (18m). Shipment was so fast, we were shocked that it arrived in time for the holiday. Workshop was quick to assemble, the kids were playing with it almost immediately. I love the fact that it is a space saver, and has a built-in drawer and open shelf for the storage of its own pieces. Although its recommended for 3+, our youngest has no problem interlocking the wood pieces and using the tools. The older kids are able to build the intricate shapes using the blueprints, and they have a lot of fun making them. Glad we decided on this last minute gift. Thank you Step2 for your outstanding customer service!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Younger Kids The Real Projects Workshop was easy to assemble and just the right size for our two year old grandson. His four year old sister was fascinated with the tools and soon joined him in play.If space is an issue, the Real Projects Workshop is a doable size for a small apartment or a spacious home. The tools are light enough for little hands and realistic enough for older kids. The drill is quite impressive with both forward and reverse turning. The nuts and bolts screw in easily enough and the Durafoam project pieces are safe and imaginative. If I was going to make a suggestion, it would be to include some "nails" made especially for the hammer.Once again, we are pleased with Step 2 products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE IT!!!! We bought this for my children (4 year old daughter and 2 year old son) because they were both developing interests in building and doing "work" like mommy and daddy. This is now the best toy in the house! We've had it for over a week now and they still play with it every single day. My daughter loves to sit and build things with the "wood" and my son loves working at the bench with the hammer and drill. They love following the "blue prints" and honestly, it's nice to be able to get some things done around the house while they are occupied with this toy. I'm now purchasing it to gift to my niece!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Highly recommended My 3 year old is really into putting things together so this tool bench was perfect for him. Not only does it look realistic and have a fun power drill and other tools to use, it also comes with the foam building pieces that are great for helping him learn to build projects on his own. Not only does he follow the blueprints but he also uses his imagination to build his own ideas. I love that it easy to use and he doesn't need a lot of help to put the pieces together. It is also a helpful way to incorporate shape recognition and counting when he's playing so not only is he using his imagination but he's learning as well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great toolbench with plenty of extras I purchased this toolbench for my 3 year old and he loves it. He loves the tools that come with it and likes to build and put the pieces of "wood" together. He can fit the pieces together and doesn't have to use the screws to hold the pieces together. That allows him to play with it on his own and doesn't need an adult to help. His older sisters like to use the instructions and build the projects that are suggested. I had been looking for toolbenches and saw this on the website because it is not carried in stores near us. I was a little worried that it wouldn't be like it showed online, but it looks and works great.

We put batteries in the drill and they lasted less than a minute. We purchased a different brand of battery to replace them and the power still lasted less than three minutes. we were very disappointed since the gift was useless on Christmas day since the drill is an integral part .I expected more . How can I get a replacement drill?

Our drill no longer works and wonder if you sell it separately? The whole work bench doesn't work without it. I can not find it online.

Is there a way of reprinting the plans or blue prints for building with the foam blocks?
Asked by: Dystrey P.
It would be great if they uploaded a PDF of this, my son tore it up and started crying. I taped it all together, but would be great to just come here and print it.
