Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth Every Penny! Mom of twin 2.5yr old boys and a 19mo boy. I knew this might be a little big for them, but knew they would probably grow into it pretty fast. The twins can already climb to the top, but are short enough that it's a bit of a challenge to get down. That's fine with me because I push them to figure it out and they usually do. The 19mo. old plays underneath and can climb on the first level of the rope part....I have no doubt he will be scaling the climber to the top soon! We have lots of different age friends and they all have LOVED it! It's sturdy and has handled everything we have thrown at it so far. I've gotten so many compliments and "Where did you get that? It's brilliant" comments. The majority of the structure was easy to put together with my husband and me. I will say that just like most of the other reviews, the rope part takes some muscle to secure into place, but we were able to get it done without too much fuss.I'm going to use the sandbox as a fishing pond instead of a sandbox....sand is way too messy for 3 boys and I hear it can attract flees....NO THANK YOU!Basically, this is the best thing we have purchased for the boys thus far. Love everything about it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from cool combo for your little climbers! this is a quality backyard climber with a fun, mountain-like design. the package arrived unharmed but the climbing ropes were missing! step 2 was apologetic and prompt about getting our missing parts to us. overall this an awesome toy! i only have 2 concerns with the skyward summit...1st, they only include 2 ground anchors for this 4 sided toy. it is constructed well but there is a bit of rocking when the kids are climbing. with the height of it i think all corners should be anchored. 2nd, it is a dark grey color to mimic natural stone and it is HOT!! the temps here are only in the 70's right now and the plastic is hot in the afternoon sun. i am afraid that it will be unbearably hot to exposed skin in the summertime. if you have shade in your play space i would suggest assembling your climber there. otherwise a fun, unique backyard addition. the little sandbox is great. the bottom line is that my three year old and her 4 year old neighbor don't enjoy the skyward summit right now because it was too hot to their bare skin and it doesn't feel completely sturdy. i am hopeful that as they grow up a little they will begin to appreciate it more. for now, the adorable covered sandbox is being enjoyed everyday! thanks step 2!

Does anyone know the weight limit? I have a much older (and heavier) child with sensory needs who would really like this.....I think. Thank you in advance.
    Asked by: Laura B.
The Skyward Summit™ has a Maximum weight limit on rock climbing wall: 320 lbs. (145.1 Kg) and Maximum weight on middle platform: 80 lbs. (36.3 Kg).

Would this be appropriate for a7 and 9 yr old? They love to climb trees but I'm always worried when they get too high. I don't mind spending the money but want to get some use out of it.
    Asked by: T R.
I would think this would be best for 4-7 years, max. That's the age group that plays on it here; our afterschool children do not use it. Hope this helps!

Is that mulch under the summit in the picture online?
    Asked by: Meghan J.
Yes, this item is shown with mulch. Shredded bark mulch, wood chips, fine sand or fine gravel are considered to be acceptable shock absorbing surfaces by the CPSC when installed and maintained at a sufficient depth under and around playground equipment.
