We are staying at home because of the Coronavirus and this has been keeping them busy. Thank you Step 2 for saving our sanity! It was very easy to put the roller coaster together. The steps are on both sides, making the car easily accessible. Not only does the expansion pack make the track longer, it lifts the first piece up, which makes the car go even faster. It’s a great addition! The set is sturdy and excellent quality as one would expect from a Step 2 product.

He loved the extra steps to climb up and the added coaster section gave him another fun hill to go over and also allowed him go faster! He rides the coaster over and over again for at least 45 minutes every time! The assembly was so easy- the expansion fits perfectly into the existing coaster parts and everything feels very sturdy and safe. This toy continues to be a favorite in our house, and the expansion pack will allow us to extend our use of the toy as my son gets older. When I got this in the mail, I chuckled calling it our entertainment packet for the next few weeks indoors, but boy I didn't realize how much of a lifesaver it would be! It was so easy to put together. I was impressed in how long it is and since it is nearly 15 feet long, it will soon be an outdoor toy for us! I was concerned my just-turned 2 year old wouldn't be able to do the stairs, track, and remount of the car all by herself, but after one or two times of help, she now does it all by herself with no trouble. It goes fast enough for them but slow enough for my momma heart! Thank you Step2 for letting me test this item as a part of the Step2 Toy Tester Program!

The expansion piece to the track extends the beginning slope and creates another hump. The extra height and length generates a more exciting and thrilling ride. No tools are needed for assembly and it took only a few minutes to put together - so easy!! This toy is sturdy because of how perfectly each high quality piece fit together. The car wheels rotate great making for a smooth ride down the tracks and easy to push back up. Overall, we LOVE this product! Keeps my kiddos entertained long enough for this Mama of three. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what we needed I was looking for something to do for our kids during the quarantine that would be safe for my 2 and 3 year olds, yet still fun for my 5 year old. This was exactly it. The 2 year old is safe and thrilled and the 5 year old gives himself a big push to go faster and loves it. Without the expansion pack I don’t think it would have kept his attention as well. They do it over and over every night. Also all the other ride along toys we already own fit this track perfectly so no fighting over the car. Great product. We use indoors and outdoors. Also they shipped 3 or 4 days faster than expected. Super pleased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So much fun! Putting this together was so easy. It is definitely a large track, measuring almost 15 feet so for us it will need to be an outdoor toy. But easily disassembled got easy storage! The steps are a little narrow but this kid is a daredevil and climbed right up and sat down. I like that the little car can be used separately from the track as well, and once he got the hang of it, he could push the car back up himself. He is 2 years old and can already ride it, and set it back up all by himself! Thank you Step2 for letting me test this item as a part of the Step2 Toy Tester Program!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Ride Toy! This up and down roller coaster with the expansion pack is the absolute best toy ever! My two year old wants to play on it all the time. It is easy for her to push it back to the start position even with the expansion pack. Her six year old sister who is 35 pounds also enjoys riding on it. We set it up in our back yards and the girls have definitely enjoyed it. This roller coaster provides just enough excitement but is not scary.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I’m jealous!! I really wish they had this backyard toy in adult sizes!! I will have to just live through my child right now instead haha. My four year old loves this toy. It has been on my list to get for her and now that she finally has it, she won’t leave it alone!! When setting it up on a slight slope, it makes the coaster with expansion pack go even further. This was extremely easy to install and the material will make it even easier to clean. I wish I would have bought this sooner because I know she will outgrow it soon.

No it does not work with the Thomas the Tank Roller Coaster. The extension only works with the Up & Down Coaster and the Anniversary Edition Up & Down Coaster.
