I bought this for my 14 month old for Christmas. I know the product says it's for 2 year olds but I read some of the reviews and figured that she might be able to use it sooner. She has been walking since she was 10 months old. She is able to climb the ladder on her own but needs much help to use the slide. Her favorite part right now is the telephone but I know she will start to enjoy all the other features more and more as she gets older. My husband and I put it together in less than an hour even with a mistake (the ladder wasn't so easy going in and we tugged a little too hard on it, causing some of the screws to bend--we did fix it without any issues) Overall we are extremely satisfied with the purchase. The clubhouse is in our family room since we live in maine and it's winter right now, so I can't attest to how weather resistant it is. We will need to take it completely apart in order to move it outside in the spring, that will be interesting. The good thing is there aren't that many screws! Many of the pieces lock into each other. It really is a great design! I wish I had one of these when I was growing up! I hate to write the negative things but other people have said that the stools are useless and I think they're right. This is minor, but the step 2 stickers have both fallen off. One was off in the box before we opened it and was too badly damaged to put back on. The other sticker was partially torn off before we put it together so we decided to take it completely off. Unfortunately this leave a 3/4 inch hole in the side of the railing that I don't know what to do with. I need to cover it up with something I just don't know what. Oh well! To end this on a good note.....I had purchased this about 2 weeks before Christmas and it was currently on backorder so I never expected to receive it until after, however it arrived 1 week before Christmas! Thank you Step 2!!

This item is very well built, I did think it would be a little bit larger, I guess I didnt measure correctly from the demension list. My son loves it he is 2 1/2, but I think it is something he will grow out of by time he is 3 1/2 so its a good thing the resale value is good. I like it for now. I would probably just pay a few extra hundred next time to get something he could grow with, but then again great for this budget.

      Comments about Step2 Clubhouse Climber™:

The climber is exactly how it is described and pictured! My 22 month old toddler cannot get enough of this adventure! As soon as we go to the backyard he darts right for it! The design is practical and cute. The instructions were clear and easy! It took approximately 2.5 hours for me and my brother to assemble. It did help to have an electric drill since the holes for screws are not pre-drilled. I recieved the package on time, undamaged, and all pieces required. Best purchase for my son so that he gets plenty of exercise and fun!

        Comments about Step2 Clubhouse Climber™:

When two of the biggest boxes I have ever seen arrived I thought it was going to take me all day to put it together. It ended up being an easy project to completed and it only took me two hours to put together. My son (who is 1) was too excited to wait for me to finish and started playing on it when I was only about 75% down. We now have all of our friends and family come over to our house and let the kids play for hours on the Clubhouse Climber.
        Wish list item
I wish the instructions they sent were in color and had a few words describing what the image was. I spent extra time looking at the pictures to make sure I didn't screw anything in wrong. Since it is plastic and the screw holes are not predrilled I didn't want to mess up.

The only negative thing is that the climber gets hot when out in the sun. So if you are planning on putting it where it gets lots of sun just know that it almost becomes completely unusable. I put my in the middle of the sprinklers and turn them on when the kids want to play on it and it is hot outside.

          Comments about Step2 Clubhouse Climber™:

My 18 month old son is obsessed with this climber. So much so that I had to purchase additional locks for the back doors because he is constantly attempting to go outside on his own to play. The first several mornings we found him letting himself outside in his pajamas as the sun was coming up to go play. As if he was dreaming about it all night long. Its the first thing he goes for after nap or getting back home from being out with Mom.

Now, a month into having it set up, he is still completely obsessed. Its his preferred place to be rain or shine. Looking forward to the endless days to come watching him and his friends playing.

I bought this for our 2 year old class at church. This was the first Sunday that the kids were able to use it and they LOVED it! We had 4 kiddos stay in their class for the whole time (this is a big struggle) that usually will not stay without mom or dad being there. And thank you for all the promotions Step2! That really helped us out financially! :)
