Turn Your Water Table into an Ice Cream Sundae

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream! It’s National Ice Cream Month! To celebrate, we made every kid’s (and let’s be honest, every adult’s) dream come true by turning the Spill & Splash Seaway Water Table into a GIANT ice cream sundae. Here’s how we created this tasty party treat:

How to turn Your Water Table into an Ice Cream Sundae

Water Table Ice Cream Sundae

What you’ll need:

  • The best water table
  • Plastic wrap
  • Approximately 5 giant tubs of ice cream (may vary depending on the size of the water table that you own)
  • Cake cones
  • Waffle cones
  • Strawberries
  • Whipped cream
  • Sprinkles
  • Cherries
  • Chocolate syrup
  • Caramel syrup

Ice Cream Ingredients

1. Line the water table with plastic wrap. Wash any accessories that come with the water table that will also be touching the food.

2. Scoop (or dump) the ice cream into the water table. Then layer on all the toppings. The more toppings, the better!

3. Add the accessories for display. You can even use the scoop cup that rests on the edge as a spoon holder!

**Clean up is easy! Simply remove the plastic wrap lining and throw it away. If your water table is sticky from the ice cream and toppings, rub a little dish soap onto the table and hose it off.

Have you ever wanted to make ice cream at home, but weren’t sure how to? We have a quick ice cream recipe that is made in a ziploc bag!

You will need:
Large and small ziploc bags
1 cup of half & half
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons of sugar
1/2 cup rock salt
small bag of ice

Fill the large ziploc bag half way full with ice and rock salt. In your small ziploc bag, add the half & half, vanilla and sugar. Zip the small bag and place it inside the large bag. Zip the large bag closed, cover it with a cloth and shake for 5 mins. Your ice cream is sure to be cold and sweet! Enjoy!
