Celebrating Pi Day with Pies

Pi is an irrational number, but eating pie to celebrate Pi Day is a rational decision. Pi Day is appropriately celebrated on March 14 because, as we all remember from our high school geometry classes, pi is approximately 3.14. Get it now?

We doubt you need an excuse to eat pie all day, but in case you do, March 14th is the day to do it. To help you get in the spirit, we’ve pulled together some of our favorite pie recipes! (Some are even gluten free, vegan, and peanut free recipes).

Strawberry Pie

What’s better than a strawberry pie to wrap up a summer cookout? Not much. Make this pie a full day adventure by taking your kiddos strawberry picking when they are in season, and using the freshly picked berries in your pie!

Blueberry Custard Pie with Pecan Crust (2 recipes for this vegan friendly recipe!)

Whether you’re vegan, gluten free, or both, you’ll be ‘berry’ glad you gave this recipe a try!

Lemon Cheesecake Pie

Peanut free and able to be made gluten free this pie is sweet, creamy and surprises your taste buds with a little tartness.

Chocolate Cream Pie

All you sweet tooth lovers, this is most definitely the pie for you!

Maybe your go to pie is a pizza pie! Here are recipes to make your own crust:

Classic Pumpkin Pie:

Who doesn’t love a good pumpkin pie? Cozy up with a slice and some vanilla ice cream.

This pie is peanut free and can be made gluten free with a gluten free crust.

Apple Pie

This fall staple is everything you need when fall comes back around. Like the Strawberry Pie, you can make this a full day adventure by taking your little ones out to the orchard to pick the apples!
