As a local Ohio-based Company, Step2 is committed to supporting families and children in need in our area. Last month, we partnered with the local non-profit organization Believe in Dreams to sponsor the 2016 Believe in Dreams 5K. This month, we held our annual silent auction event.
As a company, over the years, we have proudly made numerous donations to roughly 60 organizations/causes, including Relay for Life, Ronald McDonald House, Toys for Tots, Akron Children’s Hospital, Toys“R”Us Children’s Fund and the Saving tiny Hearts Society.
But we didn’t want to stop there.
Both Believe in Dreams and Saving tiny Hearts Society have a special place in our hearts since they focus around the well-being of children. The mission of Believe in Dreams is to help fulfill dreams for children who are economically disadvantaged and have suffered a non-medical hardship and the Saving tiny Hearts Society is dedicated to eliminating congenital heart disease (CHD) as a major health concern to improve, prolong and save the lives of countless children born with CHD. This cause is especially near and dear to our hearts, as one of our very own executive leaders has a son who was born with CHD.
To raise funds for these worthy causes, we held our 7th annual Silent Auction Event for employees at our company headquarters in Streetsboro, Ohio this week.
As a result of the silent auction, Step2 employees donated over $6,000 that will be split between Saving tiny Hearts Society and Believe in Dreams!
