Did you know October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month? According to the United States Department of Labor, this is a national campaign to raise awareness about disability employment issues and to celebrate the contributions of America’s workers with disabilities. Step2 has teamed up with Weaver ProPak, a product services division of Weaver Industries. Weaver Industries is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for people with disabilities by providing vocational training and employment opportunities.
Weaver ProPak provides high-quality, professional assembly, packaging, kitting, labeling and fulfillment services. They recently opened their new warehouse and production facility in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. Step2 is working with Weaver ProPak to produce our Shootin’ Hoops Junior Basketball Set.
Weaver Industries operates several business divisions to provide meaningful work opportunities to adults with disabilities, so they can learn new job skills that will allow them to work independently for businesses in their community.
