X-Rider Recall

At Step2, we take product safety very seriously. The Step2 Company, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), is voluntarily recalling the X-Rider. The X-Rider which was released in the spring of 2012 is a long (14” high, 14” wide, and 19”) red plastic toy car with a yellow handlebar and seat.

The toy has been tested and meets stability standards. However, there have been four reports, including two reports of injury. Children use their feet to propel the vehicle but if their feet are leaned forward too far, children can go over the handlebar.

If your child is using an X-Rider car, STOP USING IT IMMEDIATELY and keep it away from the child.

Please visit Step2.com for instructions regarding this recall or call Step2 toll free at (866) 860-1887 between 8 am and 5 pm EST Monday through Friday.
