We bought this for our 13 month old son for Christmas...we set it up early, and it has been such a wonderful help!! He loves it and will play with this for so long! We can cook dinner, clean, fold laundry, finish a meal, read the newspaper, etc. without a toddler climbing all over us and demanding more attention. He loves the juke box and will dance along to the songs. It is definitely durable, as we keep finding our son standing on top of the open oven door, and it hasn't broken off yet! He eats his snacks at the table now, so cute! My only wish is that it would have come with more play food.

This is a cute set, but my version was missing the burner, the ringer bell, the jukebox and the faucet- all of the things that make noise and really accents the whole "diner" feel. We got it a few days before Christmas and as we were putting together before Christmas morning, it was extremely disappointing that it would be missing stuff, and couldn't get it before Christmas. The Step 2 folks were nice when I called. But overall, it took some of the thrill away as a parent.

Comments about Step2 50's Diner:
Grandson (3) loves it, especially the coffee pot. At first, he wanted to sleep with it LOL. Coffee pot did come apart when dropped but did superglue back together. Loves the juke box as well. Loves pretending to serve you. Granddaughter who is one loves to climb in the seat... Service bell is not very loud.
This will provide hours and hours of imaginative play. An awesome toy for them and their friends. I thnk Daddies might like the diner aspect, not so much just a "kitchen".

Comments about Step2 50's Diner:
My sister-in-law gave my daughter a used diner for Christmas. Even thought it was missing the food my daughter still loves it. She loves to sit and pretend to feed her dolls and loves to cook as well.

Comments about Step2 50's Diner:
I bought this for my sons 2nd birthday and he just loves this dinner , it was well worth the money and a great toy for children and adults to play pretend ! The only thing that i have a con about is the fact that the table and bench are not very big and not much room at all for TWO children to play at one time as a customer is the seats !!!

Comments about Step2 50's Diner:
Perfect for 22 month old grandson. He's just beginning to "pretend" and this set is great because it mimics his great-grandparents' (still open) roadside diner. The number of accessories is great, not too many, not too few.
Service and delivery comments:
I'd like to have pretend food that would not so easily slide off the pretend plates. It's frustrating that he is unable to pretend "cut" and "eat" the food without it flying off the plate and table.

Beautiful design and very realistic. The seats should be larger !
