The Choo Choo Wagon is the best invention ever for parents of multiples. It is light and easy to put into the van for travel. I have triplet 14 month old girls. We have outgrown our triple stroller that fits in the stores. Our triple jogger is too wide to take into any stores. So we were looking for something other than the jogger. The Choo Choo wagon is the best solution.
We purchased the Choo Choo Wagon with the trailer and our girls love, love love it! They crawl into it and wait to be buckled up and taken for walks. When we go shopping it is easy to take apart and put into my minivan. Since each girl has their own seatbelt. I don't have to worry about them wiggling out during walks. For any parent with multiple toddlers this is the answer to your transporting needs.
The only downfall would be if you don't have a minivan or bigger vehicle the Choo Choo wagon may not fit. It fits perfect in our Honda Minivan so we don not have any problems getting.

Let me begin by saying that I'm a six foot six male and the handle is not designed for such individuals. The older models handle worked very well never causing excessive pulling on my shoulder or using it by my fingertips because of its shortness.

Now, let's talk about the assembly of the wagon axles. First, the sadly designed axle holder is worthless, if you're not careful the axle and hub will be put together at an angle. Thus, you must be very careful to initially hammer it straight or you're sunk and in for a rocky bumpy ride. The instructions / diagram is very generalized and takes a lot of humm let me see attitude to put the wagon together correctly.

Putting the wagon in a car is not exactly a simple task. Because of the way the handle is designed it will not collapse against the wagon thus making it impossible to fit in a smaller SUV or sedan, except on its side. If your fortunate to own a Minivan than you'll have no such fit problems except the handle which sticks straight up possibly blocking some drivers rearview vision. As a comparison the older style wagon had no such issues.

With all this said I received a damaged wagon initially which was quickly corrected by Step2, which was the right thing to do. Overall the wagon is a God sent for parents of twins and a wise financial investment.

We have a 5 yr old with special needs and a 2 yr old typical developing they both like to run & safety awareness is a daily work in progress. They love each however show it with several actions; hugs, kick, pulling hair, kiss, hitting, then hugs. It is great to have them have their own independent compartments as they work on their feelings, emotions,& safety goals. :) The choo choo wagon is essential for us to participate in all the fun activities! Farmer's market, parks, zoo, hiking, exploring without major worry as a parent or to end up carrying a heavy toddler as we all explore the outdoors.

My kids love this wagon! I have a small, in-home daycare and it was simply impossible to go on walks. Now we can get out and about. Everyone in the neighborhood loves seeing us ride by :). It was a little challenging to assemble but once I realized one of the parts was used as a tool instead of a part to the wagon it was pretty simple. I'm planning on buying one more trailer which would make room for 4 kids. Another great thing about this product is that the kids are far enough apart so they can't bother or fight with one another It's surprising not to difficult to pull and navigate! Even when it's parked the kids enjoy climbing in and out of it. I would highly recommend this product.

Happy with the wagon. Actually purchased 2. The second one I meant to order the combo (three cars). When I called customer service they wouldn't give me the price difference and wanted to charge me full price for the additional car. I'm very disappointed in the customer service.

BEST ANSWER: I love my canopy cruise wagon. I also have twins but they are now 24, each has a little girl that I babysit. The canopy is a must for safety and to keep them out of the weather. Since you pull the wagon behind you safety is a big concern, with the canopy it's harder for someone to grab one of the children. I use mine a lot. I had to replace the canopy and the step2 customer service was GREAT! I had my new canopy within days and at no cost with the 1 year warranty. So many fun things to do with this wagon and with the seat belt the children are safe and secure. This wagon is easy to move in and around town.
      Love it! Love it!
Can I separate the two carts easily so it can fit it into my car?
      Jill H on May 15, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I don't believe that those two cars come apart at all. The orange ones come off somewhat easily but the blue and red one are put together differently and don't come apart. They will both fit in the back of my van though so depending on the size of your car they might fit.
I am interested in buying the complete Choo Choo train wagon...which would hold three children...question...could you add a trailer which would increase the capacity to 4? If so I will place an order...thanks...
      Ben G on Feb 11, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I bought the choo choo wagon for my twin grandsons and they love it. Their older brother hands on in the front and it makes the wagon tough to pull (I am no shrinking violet either). So you may want to think about the weight you will be pulling. Especially up the hills. Three is a lot, four might be overload. IMO. Good luck.
      Can u get additional cars?
      Stacey T on Sep 8, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Yes, you can get additional cars. I have triplets and bought the wagon with two additional cars (total of 4) for thier first birthday. I bought an extra car for when we had family with us and/or as a place to put our extra "stuff". (Although it turned out to be good thing I did because a few months later a got pregnant again with our youngest. The instructions tell you you can have up to 3 extra cars (total of 5) on the wagon, but my experience is that any more than three cars gets really hard to pull and steer, especially when on a bumpy road. Bottom line, though, my kids loved riding in it because they each had their own seat, they could see all around it, and I recommend it to all my other mom friends because we use it so much. Even though it gets heavy to pull, so would a double or triple stroller and the kids like this a lot more. Hope this helps!
I bought this wagon in great used condition. I started having a problem with the center of the first 2 cars "sinking down" and scraping on any small bump we run over on the sidewalk. It looks like the front car is leaning back and the 2nd car is leaning forward, so it's kind of caving in in the middle. I wasn't sure if there was anything that could be done about this, or if anyone else has had this problem. I'm pulling my 2 year old twins around in it, so it's not like we're exceeding the weight limit. Not sure what to do?
      A shopper on Sep 18, 2013
BEST ANSWER: I bought this wagon new for my twin grandbabies and they LOVE it! I have not had the problem you mentioned. Maybe you should switch and/or turn around the cars. Our son put this together for the kids so not sure if you can do this. Just thought. Good luck.
Can this item be purchased with all the same color trailers? Meaning if the first car is red, can the second, third, and fourth car be red also.
      A shopper on Mar 30, 2013
BEST ANSWER: No, it comes with the blue and red, then if you get the caboose it's orange. Trust me, it's a GREAT product. I bought it for my nieces and nephew (they are triplets). It's so sturdy too.
Would the Choo Choo wagon fit in the cargo area of a GMC Terrain?
      tanya g on Jun 16, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I have a Lexus RX330 and it fits in my cargo area, I think, turned on its side. I have not put it in my car in a while.
Is there canopies for the Choo choo wagon?
      A shopper on Apr 1, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Yes, loo up flyer canopies. I bought 3 for I believe 15.00 each. They snap onto the back of the wagon perfectly. Good quality
I don't see any seat belts? Does it have one or do you have a similar product with seat belt?
      Michelle M on Apr 20, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Yes, there is a seat belt in every car. My kids love to ride in their train and have learned to buckle their own seat belts before we depart. :-)
I live in Edmonton where the winters are very extreme, are there skis that at compatible with this wagon?
      RichardL on Sep 28, 2013
      BEST ANSWER: Hi Richard ,
I live in Edmonton as well so I know the winters can be awful :) this wagon is a great wagon but not for winter , there's no skis with it just the wheels . It would be fine as long as there wasn't a lot of snow ! Hope this helps !

I screen I pic online where someone had an infant car seat in it, will a car set fit in the new ones and will the seatbelt stretch far enough to buckle it in?
      jess w on May 31, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Hi Jessica, I bought the choo choo wagon I am Licensed Childcare provider and we love our wagon. I have four cars on mine. You ask about the infant carseat fitting in it, it does not fit in it because of where the cup holders are on each of the car of the wagon. What I do with the babies who cant sit up. I wrap them in a big blanket or sit them on a pillow and then wrap the seat belt aroun them. So that way there is no way they can fall out.
      whats the weight limit?
      A shopper on Jul 2, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Pulling three kids that each weigh around 20 pounds gets challenging, especially on a bumpy road. But it is "doable". My husband has a lot easier time than me.
Want to use this for two grandsons ages 1 and 2 who are going to be ring bearers in one of my daughter's wedding this summer. Thought this would be a great idea because they might not want to walk down the aisle but would "enjoy the ride" down the aisle. My question is can the wagon be pushed as opposed to pulled. I would like the person pushing the boys (one of the boy's mothers who is matron of honor) be able to push the wagon so everyone in the church can see the boys and the matron of honor?
      Larraine L. on Mar 28, 2015
BEST ANSWER: It could be pushed, but I don't think it will go as straight as you would like. It bends between the two cars. Plus the Matron would be significantly bent over if she were to push the cars directly. Now if you are thinking push the black handle bar, the boys will be facing backwards; their seats only face forward toward the handle. Can the Matron just pull them? I still that's a really cute idea. And definitely use the seatbelts. My boys are that age, and they like to try and stand up mid-ride if not belted.
I just bought the 3 car step 2 wagon at a garage sale and they are an older set and do not come with seat belts. Is there anyway I could have seatbelts put in???
      Betty C on Apr 26, 2013

Hi, can i attached the handle to the last cart, orange one? I have 1 child but i love this wagon

Does the fully assembled double wagon fit into standard elevators? We live in an apartment building. Thank you.
      Adrienne T on Jan 26, 2014

I really love this train but I two grandsons that love hours apart and I wanted to get them both this for Christmas, is it possible to purchase only one car at a time? This way I can start the trains for both of them. Please let me know if you know if it is possible to only buy one cart at time. Thank You, Paula
      A shopper on Dec 6, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Paula. Thank you for the great question. Unfortunately, we do not sell the first car with the handle by itself. The "connector" piece and location of the wheels would keep this from being able to balance without the second car.

We do have some other products that have "connecting" pieces that can be added on to at a later date:
http://www.step2.com/p/Wagon-for-Two-Plus has an additional connection piece to add later and our Pedal Farm Tractor http://www.step2.com/p/Pedal-Farm-Tractor also has a trailer that can be added on at a later time.

We hope this helps and that you have a great holiday season with your grandsons!
