This bed is great it fits both a crib mattress & a twin mattress. My son loves his new bed sleeps through the night. I like the high sides so he can't roll out. He's 20 months old. This bed is easy to put together My wife & I did it in 2 hrs.

Let me start off by saying this is a great product. It's well-designed and inspires imagination and creativity for kids.
BUT the packaging (or lack there of) and transportation care really bring down the quality. Initial excitement turns into disappointment as you find scratch after scratch and scuff after scuff. Quality control would do wonders for product and the accompanying accessories that go with it. Proper packaging and care for the products, so they're delivered in brand new quality is a basic requirement.
I would gladly pay a little extra to cover additional packaging support and quality control to ensure that a better product was delivered to me. It's shame, because this bed is a one-of-a-kind.

I purchased this set for my boys after searching the web for race car beds. I was sold on the set because it was very reasonably priced and I needed two of the beds and storage containers. I am very happy with the style, color, durability, and most of all, my boys love it. My oldest son is 2 years old and had been sleeping with us until we assembled this bed. He has willingly slept in his own room ever since. I have gotten so many compliments on this set since I've finished the room.

I bought this bed for my grandson and we are all impress. He is going to be 2 years old in June and he loves it. My son made an adjustment and put lights under. It looks awasome!!!

To tell you the truth I don't remember how long but I do remember it wasn't too long. We had a good experience with this company no problems at all and my grandson LOVES his bed!!!! I had him over one night and he was asking for his red car (bed) LOL he is just too cute!!!!

The bed comes with all the support you need. You have the option to set up with a crib mattress or twin. Be sure to read the directions when you decide on the mattress as different steps are needed for the 2. I sleep on this bed with my son and have never had an issue. We have a 4-5 inch twin mattress. Anything larger I think would make the side bumpers useless. Bumpers meaning the window sides, they keep your child from rolling off the bed. Even though my son rolled off last week... He was sleeping more on his pillow than where he should have been. Hope this helps.... Enjoy the bed, we love it..

This bed comes with the support for baby and full size mattresses. I weigh about 250 and I lay down for naps with my 3 year old In this bed. I was completely satisfied with the build quality and would highly suggest. The only thing is when applying the stickers you need to use hairdryer to soften the sticker before application. But as for quality, second to none in my opinion. Hope this helps

This bed does not require extra support under the mattress. We have a crib mattress in it currently, and the bed supports the weight of my 2 year old and both my wife and I all at the same time. Although we do not all fit on the mattress, at least 2 of us do. And it is very solid. Next year we will be putting a full size mattress in, which will gain even more support from the base of the bed. This is an EXCELLENT purchase. We have not found a single thing wrong with it.

There is a wood board that comes with it that fits under the toddler mattress when you are using that. Once you upgrade to a twin mattress you just leave that support in and put the twin mattress on top. It is not super deep so you would not want a box spring under the twin mattress, just the mattress would be fine. My son LOVES this bed and all of the stuff we got for toy storage. I think you will enjoy this if you get it. Good luck!!

I was wondering if you think it would be worth it to buy this set for a child turning 5? I had originally bought my son the step 2 lifestyle bed when he got out of the crib at 3. He doesn't really like the bed anymore and he has chosen to sleep on the floor most nights for a while now. He seems to like sleeping lower for some reason. What do you all think about buying this for a 5 year old? Thank you.

The bed actually comes with 2 boards that slide into the frame that go under the mattress (for extra support).
It's a toddler to twin, but right now we just have the toddler size mattress in. It's great! It just lays in the frame and is flush with the inside ledge.

Currently we are using our boys crib mattresses. They are the avg size. Under the mattress is a wooden platform. We are planning on changing them to twin beds soon. It is pretty deep so I'm thinking you would be ok with a standard mattress or a more plush one. Hope that helps! Awesome beds too! My boys love them!!

We only have a toddler/crib mattress on ours so far, and it fits great, but whenever we put a real mattress in it we will probably leave the crib mattress underneath bc there is an open space that only a toddler/crib mattress will fit.

We purchased this for our grandsons 2nd birthday. He loves it. The bed does not need a support. It takes either a crib mattress or a standard twin mattress. I would recommend just going with the twin right from the start.

The bed calls for a 8 inch thick twin mattress. The mattress that I put on it is a twin size serta winslet perfect sleeper. It is a pillow top mattress so It is about 12 inches thick. My kiddo likes it and I think it still looks good. Great twin size mattress for a kid or adult and my kiddo loves his corvette bed. He is 3 now so I figure we should go good at least the next ten years.

I am currently still using the crib mattress, but will be buying a twin mattress soon. I think I will be looking for one that is on the thin side as my son is a very "active" sleeper and I would like for the mattress to be below the top edge of the car. Hope this helps.

I can't remember exactly but I am using the recommended size I saw on this site. Sorry. But my now 3year old son loves his bed. It replicates the real deal so much we took him to the car dealership to take a picture of him beside a real one and hung it on his wall.

If the 5 year old likes cars they are gonna live this set. ..my grand son is 4 and he adores it...I was a little apprehensive about spending so much ..But this set is well worth it. And it is is built extra heavy duty. I would recommend getting a nice mattress that your child feels comfortable on..the dresser is a small for my grandsons clothes. But we found a really cute tool box dresser to match.. I give this 5 stars out of 5 for quality and cuteness. .

I'm military and we moved from Hawaii to Virginia knowing I would have to wait for furniture to arrived I started researching and I saw this bed and was sold. I think it's definitely worth it. My son is almost 2 and he's slept perfectly since the first night we put him in it about 5 months ago. Since it converts to a twin mattress I think he'll sleep in it until he's almost 10 years old. Worth the price for sure, especially when you add in the dresser, storage chest etc.

All I can tell you is my experience. I gave this to my 2 year old gandson and he loves it. With the option to use a twin mattress the bed will be able to grow with him. Also my son had a car bed long ago. He kept it from the time he was 2 untill around 8 or 9 when we got him a bunk bed.

I bought this for my sons 4th birthday and he absolutely loves this set! I can see him enjoying this bed for a long time! His reaction to the bed was priceless. I would definitely recommend this for older kids because its literally an exact replica of the Corvette. You won't find a better car bed out there. :-)

I absolutely would, I actually think the bed is better designed for kids at this age than my 3 year old son. The reason is because the bed is too big for the toddler's mattress, leaving several gaps around the mattress that you need to fill with pillows and other stuffs.

I bought this bed set for my two year old son back in November 2012. He absolutely loves it. He is very proud of his bedroom set and will drag his little friends in to see everything. I highly recommend this bed set. It's low to the ground and easy to get in and out of. The doors of the car act like bumper guards so they won't roll off the bed. The set is easy to clean. The assembly is somewhat daunting, but I believe it's totally worth it. I hope this helps your decision.
