Comments about Step2 Corvette® Toddler to Twin Bed with Lights™:

I love this bed and my son does too! Once I saw it was a corvette design, I knew I had to get it for him. My dad has a corvette and is obsessed with them, so it was only fitting to get my son one! My son is always in his room now playing in his car bed. It is very sturdy and durable and Im using it as a toddler bed right now, so I love that the sides are a little higher than most toddler beds. I have gotten so many comments about how how cool te bed looks! I would definitely recommend it.

Comments about Step2 Corvette® Toddler to Twin Bed with Lights™:

My son loves this bed! I love it too! It's beautiful! Everybody that has seen it, are in love with it. My son was just 2 when I got it and he couldn't stop admiring it, took him just one night to do the transition from crib to bed. Since then, he always has to go upstairs to his bedroom to jump on it and play on it. Love the headlights that work as nightlights. Another advantage is that the sides are kinda tall, so your toddler or kid won't fall off the bed and of course, the best thing is that it converts from a toddler bed to twin bed, so they can enjoy it for many years. Highly recommended. Super happy with it!!

Step2Staff: You probably had the stock car convertible bed which we still carry but it does not come with headlights. Currently, the Corvette bed only comes in red, but I will pass this feedback on to our product development team. http://www.step2.com/p/Stock-Car-Convertible-Bed which we Apr 9, 2013

Jennifer L: I know they made a bed in blue awhile ago, but I don't believe it was the corvette model though. I've only seen this one in red. We have had ours for about 6 months and my son loves it. We went ahead and paid extra for the lights and I'm so glad I did. He loves them as a night light and they shut off after 15 minutes. Good luck. Apr 9, 2013

Lenitra E: I purchased this bed from Step2 it comes in Red, I don't believe they carry it in blue? It may be worth a call to see. However, during my search it took me quite some time to decide and I searched high and low. It didn't matter to me what color. My son loves it! I hope this helps. Apr 9, 2013

Annette f: I only thought this bed came out in Aug '12 and in red. I did see a similar bed in black on-line. I don't remember the make, but it was way more expensive. I love the lights. My Grandson used it as a night light when he goes to bed. Apr 10, 2013

A shopper asked: For the Twin bed setting, does it need a box spring? Apr 2, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
rebecca ann v: We have not used it as a twin bed yet, but with how its made to convert from a toddler to a twin I see no reason to get a box spring. The support pieces get moved to provide support for the mattress. On side note so far we have been very pleased with our purchase. Our son loves it. Apr 3, 2013

Lisa H: We do not use a boxspring. We are currently using an old mattress of a bunkbed we had, but would like to purchase a foam mattress. Definitely look at the measurement of the mattress when purchasing. Love this bed! Apr 8, 2013

Travis R: No box spring needed. Be sure not to use a pillow top twin either. A reguar twin will is what you need. Apr 3, 2013

Arnol L: We went with a navy blue with a very tiny pale blue stripe from target. I did an iron on transfer of our car on the sham. I search all over and could not find anything but the cartoon Cars and did not like that with the bed. We enlarged pictures of our car to poster size to pull it together. Our Grandson loved them May 2, 2013

Jeorgia L: The Corvette web site states it is no longer in stock. I use bedding with red and blue fitted sheet only. I plan to use the design from the decals to create a quilt when he is older. My grandson l(2 years old) loves his bed and the lights are used for his timer to be in bed ready for sleep. Hope this helps. May 2, 2013

samgaribay asked: Is there any way I can make this bed more durable? My 4 year old son doesn't go to sleep unless I lay down with him and I'm afraid I'm going to damage it. I see there are some holes like for sand has anyone tried that? Apr 13, 2013

Jennifer R: I don't think sand will make the bed more durable, just heavier and harder to move. Try putting 1" thick plywood under the mattress. That should help. Apr 16, 2013
