Comments about Step2 Duck Pond Water Table™:

Thank you to Step2 for letting me test this item as part of the Step2 toy tester program.

Assembling it was very simple, I had no issues and the best part: there was no tools required. At first the weather did not allow us to play outside, so we stay indoors and still had so much fun, we filled the table with small toys, plastic balls and even foam letters, the girls love it and love to play search for this or that (a specific toy).
Both our 1 and 4 years of age, play together at the Step2 Duck Pond Water Table and love it. It's the perfect height as it works great for both of them, and they enjoy launching the frog, ducks and other small toys into the pond.
Filling it with water outside was so much fun, not to mention that the girls were very excited and loved splashing the ducks, frog and scooping with the green scooper to watch the water come down.

Have not tried filling it with anything but water as it indicates beans or balls can be used, in that case my leaking water would not be an issue

Thank you to Step2 for letting me test this item as part of the Step2 toy tester program.

The Duck Pond was very easy to assemble except the drain plug. It was very difficult to get it seated all the way down, but once you get it in there it keeps water from leaking. All the other pieces snap in easily. The ducks and frog that come with are the perfect size for little hands. My 1 year old and 3 year old love flinging them into the water and sending them down the slide. The table is at a great height for both girls, so we'll get many years of use out of the table. The only downside is that the slide doesn't stay snapped in so it can be bumped out of place and into the water.

Comments about Step2 Duck Pond Water Table™:

Thank you to Step2 for letting me test this item as part of the Step2 toy tester program. The water table was easy to assemble except for the drain plug. I originally installed it and the water table leaked. However my husband was able to install it properly and the leak was gone. You have to squeeze it and put it in and wiggle it around until you get it in there really good! So if it leaks try again. It does work. The drain plug is a great addition to the water table because it allows you to drain the water quickly and is great for those who are not suppose to lift on heavy things. My son used the frog flipper as a spoon or scoop and he really enjoyed turning the spinner and getting himself wet. This is a great water table and looks very well made. We have only used it outside so far but the table can be used inside for sensory play. Filling it with beans, rice, balls or even cotton balls with hidden objects to find would be a great learning activity for when the weather is not cooperating.

A shopper asked: Is the Duck Pond Water Table made of High Density Polyethylene? Excluding the animals, what kind of plastic are the other parts (center spinner and crank, slide, side flipper, and scooper) made out of? Do any of the aforementioned contain BPA or PVC (phthalates)? Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Step2Staff: The slide, spinner, scoop and side flipper are molded from polypropylene, not PVC and it does not contain BPA. While the components are not manufactured from PVC plastic they are tested for phthalates by a CPSC accredited test lab and comply with the CPSIA and ASTM F9630 Children’s toy standards. Jul 10, 2014
