I was rather pleased with this product. The only reason why I gave it a 4 rating and not a 5 is because the pink color in the picture is not the pink color you receive it is a lot lighter and less bright. On the other hand the clip that holds the paper is tight (I was hesitant to buy because of the reviews on the paper clip). You should have seen hers and her parents faces when they came in the room. I am really happy with this purchase because it makes my grandbaby happy. It was her birthday present. She had just turned 2.

Hi. I bought this as a gift for my son who is 27 months. He knows has ABCs and can count to 30 so I thought this would be perfect. He likes to spell simple words, like Mom, Dad and his name. The easel is sturdy and easy to assemble. It is the perfect height for him, and it has a nice storage tray to place the letters, numbers and small items. It would be nice if it came with a storage bag for the letters and numbers when you take down the easel. Anyway, I just used a zip lock bag. The real issues with the easel, and what I feel to be an important one, is the VERY POOR QUALITY of the letters and numbers, not to mention the VARIETY. The letters and numbers are made of a cheap felt material that is a few mm thick. My son can easily crumble them in his hand. They also rip very easily and become a safety hazard. If that was not aggravating enough, they do not include more than one of the popular consonants and vowels. You cannot spell MOM or DAD. However, they saw fit to include several extra letters, just not ones you need. More so, they included 3 sets of numbers 0-9. Why not include more letters instead of numbers? When I called customer service, the representative told me that I was the "First one to complain" about the poor quality and variety of letters. I asked her then why this was the number one complaint regarding this product, and hundreds of people have stated the same thing in their reviews. So, either she was not being honest with me, or NOBODY ELSE called to complain about this issue. HUMM... When I bought a Step 2 wagon and the wheels broke within a couple of weeks, they again told me I was the "First one to complain." However, hundreds of others wrote about the poor wheel quality in their reviews. A suggestion to Step 2 would be to stop trying and make your customers feel stupid and actually listen to them to FIX THE PROBLEMS. I am tired of SPIN, I would like to see a company that actually listen to its customers and FIXED THE PROBLEMS. To date, I see they have not addressed the wheel issue on the Step 2 wagon, and the letter issue for the easel. Customers have been complaining about these issues for several months.FYI, you can buy much better letters and numbers with the magnets on back at [@]for a good price. The bottom line here is that the easel is expensive and the most important part of the easel is the magnetic letters and numbers. If they are junk, I cannot recommend it. J

Comments about Step2 Easel for Two:
I love this easel! It is sturdy, has clips to hang easel paper to paint, and also has a decent sized area for storage in the center.
However, the fact that it only came with magnetic letters was a little disappointing. The magnets are awful! I threw them in the garbage immediately. Luckily, I had already has dry erase markers, chalk, erasers and Melissa & Doug magnets handy! My only other complaint is that the chalkboard is not of the best quality. To erase it completely, you have to use a damp cloth. Although it could be my chalk? Not entirely sure.
Overall, it is a good product and provides hours of entertainment!

Great that both grandsons ages 4 and 2 can play together at one time. Would have helped if there was at least one piece of chalk or one marker.

My 2 1/2 year really loved this easel, after I purchased the markers, that is. I liked that it came with magnetic letters, but would have been nice if the chalk and dry erase markers were included. Maybe it indicated they weren't included in the ad; I'm not sure. Overall I am pleased with this purchase.
