I was rather pleased with this product. The only reason why I gave it a 4 rating and not a 5 is because the pink color in the picture is not the pink color you receive it is a lot lighter and less bright. On the other hand the clip that holds the paper is tight (I was hesitant to buy because of the reviews on the paper clip). You should have seen hers and her parents faces when they came in the room. I am really happy with this purchase because it makes my grandbaby happy. It was her birthday present. She had just turned 2.

Hi. I bought this as a gift for my son who is 27 months. He knows has ABCs and can count to 30 so I thought this would be perfect. He likes to spell simple words, like Mom, Dad and his name. The easel is sturdy and easy to assemble. It is the perfect height for him, and it has a nice storage tray to place the letters, numbers and small items. It would be nice if it came with a storage bag for the letters and numbers when you take down the easel. Anyway, I just used a zip lock bag. The real issues with the easel, and what I feel to be an important one, is the VERY POOR QUALITY of the letters and numbers, not to mention the VARIETY. The letters and numbers are made of a cheap felt material that is a few mm thick. My son can easily crumble them in his hand. They also rip very easily and become a safety hazard. If that was not aggravating enough, they do not include more than one of the popular consonants and vowels. You cannot spell MOM or DAD. However, they saw fit to include several extra letters, just not ones you need. More so, they included 3 sets of numbers 0-9. Why not include more letters instead of numbers? When I called customer service, the representative told me that I was the "First one to complain" about the poor quality and variety of letters. I asked her then why this was the number one complaint regarding this product, and hundreds of people have stated the same thing in their reviews. So, either she was not being honest with me, or NOBODY ELSE called to complain about this issue. HUMM... When I bought a Step 2 wagon and the wheels broke within a couple of weeks, they again told me I was the "First one to complain." However, hundreds of others wrote about the poor wheel quality in their reviews. A suggestion to Step 2 would be to stop trying and make your customers feel stupid and actually listen to them to FIX THE PROBLEMS. I am tired of SPIN, I would like to see a company that actually listen to its customers and FIXED THE PROBLEMS. To date, I see they have not addressed the wheel issue on the Step 2 wagon, and the letter issue for the easel. Customers have been complaining about these issues for several months.FYI, you can buy much better letters and numbers with the magnets on back at [@]for a good price. The bottom line here is that the easel is expensive and the most important part of the easel is the magnetic letters and numbers. If they are junk, I cannot recommend it. J

Comments about Step2 Easel for Two:

This easel is my grandson's favourite "go to" toy when he's in his playroom. He has every imaginable toy, book, electronic device, etc. and yet he always chooses the easel. He never tires of manipulating the magnetic letters/numbers to create. At 2 1/2 he can already read and recognizes numbers greater than 100. If there is any criticism, it's the limited numbers of characters. I've ordered 2 more sets and the problem is solved. If I could make one more suggestion, it would be to include lower case letters. The easel will continue to grow in use along with my grandson.

Comments about Step2 Easel for Two:

I purchased this as a birthday gift for my 2 year old grandson, knowing his 4 year old older brother would love it too. It was made well, as are the other Step 2 items I have purchased in the past. They both loved everything about the easel. I chose the red color and it is beautiful. The magnetic numbers are easy to use. My only suggestion would be to include the extra items with the easel (chalk, erasers, markers, crayons, paper) as I had to go and find all the items myself. I would have gladly paid a little more for the convenience of not having to go looking for them. The easel was very easy to set up and the tray holding the items was accessible from both sides of the easel! My grandsons will get a lot of use from this easel.

My 2 year old is in the creative stage and he's writing all over my walls:( I figured I could either invest in his creativity (buying him an easel) or have crayola marks all over my Sherwin Williams painted walls! LOL ... the Step2 Easel for 2 won hands down! Also, the reviews were very good on this product so looking forward to getting it delivered.

How can you clean the marks off of the magnetic dry erase board side?
      Margaret D on Mar 29, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Rubbing alcohol works well to get dried dry erase marker/crayon off the dry erase side of the board without damaging the surface.
What are the actual measurements of the dry erase board and chalkboard areas?
      Sandra L on Feb 4, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The dimensions of the dry erase board and chalkboard areas are 16 inches wide by 18 inches high.
Can you use washable markers that aren't the dry erase markers?
      Eden S on May 22, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Yes but they do leave slight staining. Also be careful when ordering online. I thought I ordered the red one and when I received the package it was pink. They will not reimburse for shipping on returns (it costs as much as the easel). Toysrus, walmart etc won't accept it either.
Is the tray big enough to hold non-spill paint cups for my 2 yr old to use while standing at the easel (such as Melissa and Doug none-ill paint cups)?
      Laura M on Mar 12, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I'm sorry but it does not seem that will hold the paint cup for you, it holds better crayons, pencils etc. sorry good luck
How is this easel different from the all around easel?
      mbs21 on Jan 27, 2014
BEST ANSWER: The All Around Easel for Two has two more storage compartments than the Easel for Two. The Easel for Two folds up while the All Around Easel for Two does not. The All Around Easel for Two has 94 piece foam magnet letter and symbol kit while the Easel for Two has a 77 piece set. The board height of the Easel for Two is 23" and the width is 22". The All Around Easel for Two's board height is 22"and width is 20."
How do I erase the marker on the white part???
      A shopper on Dec 3, 2013
BEST ANSWER: You use a damp cloth. Make sure you buy the erasable markers.
