My 2 boys, ages 2 1/2 and 4 1/2, LOVE the Grand Walk In Kitchen with Grill. It is much larger then our previous kitchen but after re-arranging the toy room it fits perfectly. The kids love to cook pizza, grill hot dogs & serve me coffee throughout the day. There is plently of room for mulitiple children, and is great for when we have friends over.

My barely 5 yr old wouldn't even fit in this! Why would you make something this adorable only for toddlers??? Very bummed!!! We own tons of Step 2 toys and would love to buy one of these if it was made taller like at least 50"-55" so older kids could play with it.

      Comments about Step2 Grand Walk-In Kitchen & Grill™:

My girls (ages 4 & 2 1/2) LOVE to play with this set at home in our livingroom. They can play together or play individually. They pretend to cook, clean, shop, serve food, and love to talk on the phone!
This is a high quality product that they can play with for years to come. It has so many ways for a child to interact with it. As my wife and I were putting it together, our girls kept trying to play with it before we could even finish putting it all together. We finally just let them play that first night and put the stickers on after they were in bed! LOL!
      I have NO complaints whatsoever...

      Comments about Step2 Grand Walk-In Kitchen & Grill™:

We looked for large kitchens for a while before deciding on this one. With an almost-6-year old, 4yo, 2yo, (all boys) and another one on the way, we wanted something that served multiple children at once and wasn't flimsy at all. We like that this is a pretty neutral design, all the hinges and construction seem very durable. It's probably not something you can easily assemble in one room and move to another through a standard door, so note that before putting it together! A few screws were in locations that were very difficult to access, and the fact that the holes are only indented, not pre-drilled, meant we needed a power drill to do most of the screws. Really my only negative is that it seems kitchen ads use kids that look older but are super tiny. I expected it to be bigger based on images of kids in the kitchen (didn't really pay that close of attention to measurements), but it seems to fit our kids okay. It's a tight fit to put two kids inside at once, but there are a lot of play options to occupy multiple kids.

        Comments about Step2 Grand Walk-In Kitchen & Grill™:

The Grand Walk-in Kitchen was a Christmas gift for our 2 year old granddaughter and it was a big hit. She spends hours cooking on the stove and grill, and she loves all of the accessories. I love all the built-in storage so she can neatly put all of the food and dishes away at the end of the day. I spent a lot of time searching and reviewing the features of several kitchens but am so pleased to have purchased this one by step2!

            Comments about Step2 Grand Walk-In Kitchen & Grill™:

I have a 2 and 3 year old. There's enough to do in this kitchen to keep them both busy. There's a grill, oven, "working" stove, microwave and refrigerator. I like all the kitchen items that came along with it - the pots and pans, spoons, pot holders. I would have preferred there being storage consideration to hold / contain all these food items so they don't have to sit scattered on the floor.

Step2.com Store asked: Why did you choose this?
Alex T: Looks good with many features. Also good reviews. Apr 2, 2015
Janice S: Thought our 5 yr. old granddaughter and 3 yr old grandson would play well with this together. Mar 25, 2015
Sarah B: I choose this kitchen because of storage, and because of the grill. I like how it is more like a play house than just an ordinary kitchen set. I know my daughter will love it! Mar 10, 2015
Isabelle L: I bought this kitchen for my 14 month old daughter. She is mobile and active. Currently, she is enjoying getting in and out of her Little Tikes car. She likes closing and opening the car door. She puts together her megablocks (10 pieces) together. She put them in and take them out. I thought she would enjoy the kitchen which allows her to open and close doors, organizing the food pieces. Hopefully, she will grow into it and pretend play when she is a little older. Feb 22, 2015
sandra z: Birthday gift for my 2 yr. old Granddaughter. Have bought several Step 2 items and they are always well built. Feb 10, 2015
Joshua L: I chose this because my wife and I have noticed our girls, ages 2 1/2 & 4, have been "playing house" more and more. They especially have been playing with toy food and pretending to cook on play-tables. We decided to get them something they would both love to play with both now and as they continue to grow. We are so excited and just know they are going to love it!!! Feb 5, 2015
Cid Kis. Checkin:SEP10 R: That's the best gift we gave to our daughter. She was only 1 year old, and she plays with it everyday! Now that she is 3 1/2 we had to buy it again for the new home! Feb 2, 2015
sangwook l: for my littel baby! Jan 29, 2015
Sharon E: I chose this particular one because you can play on the inside and the outside at the grill area. This is for a child development center so there will be lots of children playing with this at the same time. Also, it came with food and dishes. Thanks Jan 28, 2015
CINDY K: This is a birthday gift for my soon to be 4 year old son. He loves to help cook and really loves to grill. Jan 23, 2015

Margaret A. S: It was on my granddaughter's wish list and because of the great comments by others. Jan 5, 2015

Jonathan B: My son (3 yrs) has been asking for a kitchen for about 6 months now since he has one in his school classroom this year. Often times, he has 3-4 friends over so I wanted to get something that could occupy all of them if needed. He also has a younger brother (1 yr) to learn to share with. This kitchen seems to be large enough and has all the features we were looking for in a play kitchen including the grill! Big plus for us guys. That along with great reviews is why I chose to go with this set. Dec 1, 2014

Meg M: On all the websites I could find this kitchen listed on, it got great reviews. Especially for the price you're getting so much play room. I have twin 2.5 year old boys who love their smaller kitchen, which is a hand me down. My husband and I decided to spend the money to get a new kitchen for them and this was at the top of my list. It needed to be large enough for them to play together and the fact that it is USA made was a great bonus. May 5, 2014

A shopper asked: Does the walk-in with grill have as much storage space as the deluxe model? If not, how much less? Is the cupboard under the grill functional and is there storage on the below the counter on the left upon entering the kitchen Nov 19, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (1) No (0)
Step2Staff: The model with grill has more storage space then the model without the grill. There is cupboard space underneath the grill side and underneath the stove side inside the kitchen. The one without the grill only has the cupboard space inside under the stove top. Nov 21, 2013
Reply to Step2 Good answer? Yes (1) No (0)
Barbara H: I don't know how this model compares to the deluxe model regarding storage space but I did end up buying a decorative bin for the counter top for storage. There is functional storage space below the grill and under the counter on the left but I found my granddaughter likes having the bin at hand instead of going around to get something.
            Hope this helps.

A shopper asked: is there a new version of this kitchen in production? i saw it go on sale for 149.99 (stated original price 199.99), but it was sold out quick, and then it came back w/ a sale price of $181.99 (original price $259)...seemingly the same kitchen. confused at the pricing...i want the best deal. seems like a great kitchen. Megan H: No, the microwave just has a sticker where the buttons should be. I was highly disappointed. It does have the padded floor though. But my daughter plays with this kitchen more than any of her other toys and she just turned 6. We've had it for 2 years now and it is very durable. Mar 7, 2014

Joanne W: It's hard to say for sure. The 5 yr old yes but the 9 yr old could go either way. The 9 yr old would probably have to play on her knees. I know my 11 year old nephew will play with the kitchen with my son, but I don't think he would play by himself with it. A girl may be a little different? Sorry not sure if this helps Dec 1, 2014

I purchased this item and there was a thick white very sticky film all over it. What is this?
            Jul 11, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Step2Staff: Thank you for contacting us about this film on your kitchen. There are times when resin dust will settle onto the product and it requires the product to be wiped down with hot soapy water. The resin dust isn't typically sticky though, but with humidity, that is possible. Could you please take a picture of this, try to wash it down with hot soapy water (if it is resin it will easily wipe clean), and if that doesn't work, please contact us directly through our Customer Service Department. Please call toll free 1-800-347-8372 Monday - Friday, from 8-5 ET and we will be happy to assist you from there. Jul 12, 2013

Sharon L: I don't recall a thick, white sticky film. While it's been nearly a year since I assembled this kitchen, I think I would remember encountering something like that. There was no cleanup of anything remotely sticky; I put it together, and my granddaughters played with it almost immediately. Jul 12, 2013

Jethro asked: Would have been a little easier to setup if the long bars across the bottom that hold it together had holes at each end for the clips to go through. Had 4 holes in total (2 at one end of each bar) and none at the other. Fortunately the wife brought it out to the shop and I had a drill there, but NOT easy to assemble for her!
Could you do that for future builds and maybe a pilot hole for where all the screws have to be put in?

Andrea asked: This is a random question and I'm hoping someone might have an idea. How difficult would it be to replace one of the kitchen walls of the kitchen & grill with another model (the Deluxe, for example) to get the extra features combined with the walk-in kitchen? Are the walls, "ceiling" and floor all separate pieces? We are fine with cutting and drilling our own holes. Dec 3, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Daniel C: This is an interesting idea! The kitchen & grill has separate walls, ceiling, and floor pieces. The ceiling cross pieces can easily be removed to facilitate use of a new wall, or depending on your floor plan you could remove the extra counter space on one side and add a third wall there.
