My 3 year old daughter absolutely loves it. The instruction manual is easy to read and follow (consists of mainly pictures) which is great. Its sturdy but not too heavy, so me being a woman can move it if I need to. It comes with so many accessories from pots pans eating utensils and so much play food. Its easy to clean since its sturdy plastic. Its color is elegant and material is high quality. To build it i would recommend having an electric screwdriver making it a breeze to build. Shipping was free and i got it really fast. You install batteries for the play microwave and play stove. And you add all the stickers. But the stickers are thick and good quality. When you place a pot or pan on the play stove it automatically pushes the buttons down so it makes a realistic cooking sound. My daughter feels grown up. It comes with a sitting stool so i can sit while she makes me something to "eat". I also bought her a cash register to compliment the kitchen so she also pretends its her grocery store. Its squared so it fits nicely in a corner and we live in an apartment. It gives her plenty of pretend play, imagination, creativity, and enough independence and privacy she wants since she's an only child. It also comes with a play phone. I would definitely recommend purchasing this grand walk in kitchen!! I wish i would've bought it for her earlier! Even 9 month olds love to come and play in it and there's plenty of room for them to hold on if they're learning how to walk. Its great to have indoors for the snowy days so she has plenty to play with.

I had been looking at this for over a year debating if to buy it or not. I have a small daycare with 5 little kids. I finally gave in. It was much smaller than I expected. Had I read the specs I would have known that so I don't fault the company. The free shiping was awesome! My husband put it together fairly easy. I don't like the metal spoon racks, they keep falling off. I have to move it frequently to vacumn, the floor has to be reinstalled when I do this. The food that comes with it is really small and I probably threw over half of it out as I felt they were hazardous. I expected much better quality. I have purchased Step2 products before for the kids and this just doesn't fit the bill. The little kids can crawl in it and pull themselves up. No more than one 3 year old can work in it at a time. Not enough storage space, the pots and pans do not fit in the space under the cooktop! While we love the buttons on the cooktop burner sounds, the kids have figured out that it how to turn the sound on without a pan being on it and I worry they will do that with a regular burner.

Comments about Step2 Grand Walk In Kitchen with Extra Play Food:

My 4 year old daughter loves her new kitchen. She's smaller for four - and fits fine in the kitchen.

Biggest issue from an organization standpoint is the kitchen "cupboards" are too small - just like a real kitchen, it doesn't have enough storage. All the cupboards are too shallow to actually hold anything - so 2/3 cupboards are basically worthless. Next to the kitchen, I have to have a giant toy bin for the food and pots b/c they don't actually fit anywhere in the kitchen.

Assembly-wise - the majority of the screw holes were not drilled. While I'd like to say it was easy to assemble, it required more effort than it should have since only 2-3 of the 10+ holes were actually drilled.

Good news - my daughter loves it!

Comments about Step2 Grand Walk In Kitchen with Extra Play Food:

My son who is 18 months really enjoys to pretend to cook so we knew this would be a perfect set for him. I wanted a kitchen but he has pulled some of the one sided kitchen onto himself at friend's houses. This kitchen can work as a kitchen but also as a play house so we didn't need to buy both. It came with a bunch of food and it is really cute. He loves it and so do all of his little friends. The only problem we had was it arrived with a box from a different set so we had to wait a few days to reorder the right parts. We contacted customer service Tuesday am and the set had arrived by Friday am. We are very happy with the set and our experience with the customer service to fix the problem.

This kitchen met my expectations. However, I was disappointed with the delivery. Fedex lost my second box and I didn't get my complete package until 2 weeks later! I really appreciate Step2's excellent customer service. Carol was very helpful and courteous (unlike Fedex, they were rude and unhelpful) when I called to resolve the issue.

This is a great kitchen. My daughter enjoys her personal kitchen space and pretetnding to cook and make dinner. It provides quality playtime for her by herself as well as encouraging play with her cousins, both younger and older. Would definitely recommend this kitchen for young chldren as it allows playtime and exploration, while at the same time making it enjoyable!

With all the research I have done, it seems to be the best buy for the money. It makes sounds, comes with the stool, has many accesories which was all really important to me. I did not want to buy everything separately and this seems to have it all. I really hope that I am not disappointed when it arrives. I don't think I will as the reviews are all positive.

We love our step 2 kitchens...We have 3 boys that all had a neutral color step 2 kitchen when they were 1-5. Now we have been blessed with a baby girl who will be 2 in January and it is a must have item/toy in our house. Kitchens were always the most played with toy and the interaction is greatly appreciated! We love Step 2!!

This particular kitchen was the only one that offered counter space to serve food and play with items like play dough or pretend food cutting. It looks like she won't out grow it for a few years and it had alot of bells and whistles I liked like the microwave, phone, stove noices. Storage will be an issue but I know I'll install a small shelf to hold some of the items.

Does this come with the stool shown in the picture?
            ashley on Oct 31, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Yes. The stool came with Grand Walk In Kitchen with extra play food. My 2 1/2 year old granddaughter loves her kitchen. It is her favorite toy and she 'cooks' in it almost every day...especially when she has someone to serve.
Once you put this together, can you dissemble it? We would like to put it in our playroom, but obviously we won't be able to get it out through the door after our girls grow out of it.
            Dani T on Jan 28, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I've taken it apart into two pieces, top and base. The top is awkward with the 'pillars', but sideways is easily innumerable through a door. The base is another story. It also needs to be on its side, but I highly recommend moving it being a two person job. It's bulky, heavy and is a bit wobbly since one side only has a thin strip. It's overall very durable and worth the investment, especially if you have a kid who loves pretend play.
Is this kitchen good for tall kids, does it have a coffee pot, silverware drawer and silverware? THANK YOU!!!
            D K on Jul 27, 2013
BEST ANSWER: I don't recall the Grand Walk in Kitchen coming with silverware, since I already had some. Yes it came with a coffee pot but again not sure if it was in the original or with the extra food. Regarding height of my grandkids playing with the kitchen......average 5 year old, three year old and two 2yr olds. There is plenty of room for all of them to play with the kitchen at the same time and easy to get in and out. My grandsons pretend cooking and serving each other. All 4 of them can eat actual snacks around the kitchen, three on the outside and one inside. And best of all the cushioned flooring inside is comfortable for grandma to be on her knees playing in the kitchen. Enjoy
This seems to come with a lot of play food - that's great, but I don't see any pans or dishes?
            beth j on Nov 24, 2014
BEST ANSWER: It comes with a coffee pot, a couple of pots with lids and fry pans I believe, also with a metal colender and some utensils, the food is in a seperate box, lots of the food was too small for my little ones and had to be tossed as I felt it was not safe.
Can this be used in an outdoor play space?
            TLC Child C on Apr 21, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I would not but I live in Indiana and it rains.

The floor is a sponge mat and the stove operates off of batteries. Enclosed spaces are best.
