We purchased this deluxe kitchen as the big "Santa" present for our 18-month-old daughter. I can't wait to play with her - this is truly a great toy! She's going to love all the appliance buttons & sounds. I put it together by myself in under 2 hours. It was one of the easiest things I've ever assembled. The only problem I had was with the dishrack when fastening it onto the top cabinets. I couldn't get the plastic fasteners pushed in all the way and it was very awkward to do with the plastic railing in the way. But I have them far enough in so that my husband can do it when he gets home. All of the holes lined up nicely when inserting screws. I did put the window decals on prior to assembly, and I'm glad I did! It would have been a little harder to line them up with the dishrack railing in the way. I was very impressed with the instructions. They were very easy to understand, and I also viewed the online assembly demo. Was pleasantly surprised to find extra screws and fasteners. Rare in this world of assembly-required stuff! The included pots, pans, dishes and food are great. We have purchased additional food - and it appears that there is plenty of storage space. This will be a toy to last for years. Will definitely buy more Step2 toys in the future. BRAVO!

My grandaughter LOVES it! It would have broken my heart if we had to send it back after she saw it. The oven door does not close, looking for fix to be sent. Cupboard doors under sink have an inch gap between them. It is difficult to open refrigerator, and microwave, but I guess that is good since the oven doesn't close! The sprayer hose is to long, but is glued into place so I didn't want to mess with it. I guess these are all little things since she is enjoying it so much.

I have a three year old and one year old and they both love this kitchen! My three year old will spend hours making food and putting away milk or microwaving food while my one year old just loves the buttons and opening the doors instead of our real kitchen lol. There's also enough room for two children so there's no fighting which is a plus!!

We bought this for my 20 month old daughter for Christmas. Because of all the negative reviews we had read about the amount of time it took to put it together we started two weeks before Christmas. I am not sure why there were so many complaints. My husband had it together in just a few hours without any problem. The stickers make everything look so realistic and I love all the electronic features. I also read a lot of negative comments about storage. I feel this kitchen has ample storage space and we have purchased several other dishes and food pieces to go along with it. My daughter loves the phone, stove top noises and buttons on the microwave and oven. She also likes to wash dishes as I cook and uses the dishwasher too. I like that it is wide enough for two or three kids to play with at a time.
If I had any negative comments it would be that the doors to some of the areas are hard to open. I know as my daughter gets older and we use it more this should get easier. Also, I wish the electronic features were louder. The light about the sink did not work when we received the product, but I haven't taken time to call and get it replaced yet. I also wish the sink were a little deeper. All in all, I think this is a great product and we have been very pleased with it. I feel like some of the reviewers had too high of expectations. At the end of the day, this is a plastic play kitchen. No product is going to be perfect. My daughter plays with it every day and loves it!

My four grandchildren are ages 1 to 5 and all four of them loved this kitchen. It is not hard to put together and is big enough for all four to participate at the same time. I am completely happy with this purchase.

I love this kitchen. Very realistic for my tot!!! In fact, my kitchen was upgraded based on the style of this model. My kitchen is hot, but.., there are some missing items such as the dish rack. This kitchen is an excellent learning tool for my tot. the battery operated devices of course work. This is definitely a must have for any parent, grand parent or care taker who would like to educate their children on quality. just to reiterate..., this kitchen teaches during the early stages of life not to accept less than quality appliances, etc --as this is how a kitchen should be designed. I am sure that step 2 will upgrade as new designs are produced. Or perhaps, the new or rather upgraded designs should be added to the deluxe, or perhaps there should be a deluxe extra!!! I love it, my tot loves it and all guest love it as well!!!
