This kitchen is absolutely adorable! We love it. We set up Christmas Eve, with a big red bow, for our 2 1/2 yr. old daughter to wake up to on Christmas morning. She saw it, and we couldn't get her out of it, to even open her other presents. She loves the little burner that boils and sizzles, that's her favorite part. She sits on the little stool in front of the stove, and "cooks." It is so cute! Assembly was extremely easy, as the instructions were great. All the accessories are wonderful, tons of food, pans and dishes. There are only a few things I was disappointed with; there were a couple of big scratches on the countertops, it's like somebody with a box cutter must have cut them before boxing them up. I read other reviews where people mentioned this, but I was hoping I would luck out. But they aren't that noticeable, as the counters are maroonish. There should be more storage space under the stove, like there is above the fridge. The kitchen looks bigger in the Step 2 picture, then it really is, but it is still big enough. And for the price of the kitchen, I think it should be a bit heavier. The plastic isn't as thick as I thought it would be. But maybe it was made that way, so it could be moved around more easily. All in all, it is really great, and I do most definitely recommend it, but for younger children, probably 3 to 5, as the counters are not that tall, they are about perfect height for my daughter who is almost 37" tall. She can sit on the stool, or stand, and play comfortably. Not for older children, it would just be too small.
