We are very pleased with this set. I have a home daycare and have children ranging in ages from birth to 4-5. I have researched many, many outdoor swingsets and found that many are just too high for the younger children. This set has a cool "fort" under, which is perfect for the little toddlers, and another fort above, which is great for the ones able to climb the ladder. Again, the height is great. Just enough for them to feel like they are up high, but still safe. The set is sturdy and was fairly easy to put together. My husband and my 11 year old son worked on it together and completed it in about 4 hours. He is pretty handy with tools, but it should be easy for someone who maybe isn't as handy, just follow the directions. It was missing just one piece of hardware, not bad :). It was just one nut that holds the handle by the slide together. My only other complaint, like many others, is that the swings are WAY too high!! It would be impossible for anyone under the age of 8-9 to be able to get on by themselves, and if they somehow did, I feel the height would be very unsafe if they were to fall. This isn't too much of a worry for me, as we have ordered full bucket infant/toddler swings to use with it, since we have both very young babies and toddlers using the set. I have attached a photo with the original swings so you can get an idea of just how high they truly are. I will keep the swings it came with for my older children, 11-12, if they want to use them. This set is definately sturdy enough for the biggest kids also! As much as I like the look of some of the wooden sets, I feel that being able to rinse this set off when dirty, paired with the bonus of NO SPLINTERS, make this set a really smart choice! Overall, we are very happy with our purchase and would definately recommend this set!!

We put it in the backyard so that our 2 1/2 year old could play in the backyard. The glider is good, but the ropes on the swings are very short so our son who is pretty tall for his age needs help getting in and they don't swing as good because of how short they are. the stairs to the slide are good, but the slide is not as tall as you might think it would be from the description.

I am a proud Step2 Test Drive Mom and I got the opportunity to review this item. It is hands down the best play center/swing set that I have seen! It is not only durable but very well planned out.
My daughter would spend ALL day on it if she could. It's perfect for all ages so I am happy it will grow with her too.

Bought this used for our 2 yr old son from someone who's 8 yr old had outgrown it. I can tell our version is slightly older than the one's sold now because there are very minor differences, such as the ladder on ours has wooden rungs instead of all rope and the steps up to the fort don't come out as far (more like a ladder on ours). With that said...it is still in excellent condition so it obviously holds up well! I myself, all of 5'2", put it back together (it was already taken apart when we picked it up) with no help and no directions. I printed off a picture from the website and looked at it on occasion. It's that simple. The awning cover was missing, so I used a sun shade that we had for our gazebo (which we ordered online for about $30) and it looks like it was made for the swingset, the color and size are a great fit! I had to use a little creativity and wrap and zip-tie it to the awning poles, but it turned out very nice, and keeps the hot sun and rain out! I have always loved Step 2 products, and even though it's used I give this one 2 thumbs up!

Purchased for my 3-1/2-year-old son through Step2 website. I am a 5'4" female and I assembled the entire swing set in one day by myself. The physical side of it was not easy, but the instructions were clear and easy to understand and follow. This is a very attractive, durable, weather-resistant, and low-maintenance set that I highly recommend. My son has enjoyed it thoroughly and I would give it 5 stars if there weren't one bothersome issue. After only three months, the fabric covering the "tree fort" section faded to an ugly pale pink. The rest of the set looks brand new after 18 months, but the faded fabric really detracts from it's overall attractiveness. This fabric should be a light tan color, fade-resistant AND mold/mildew resistant, and it would look much nicer for years to come. I am looking into having those pieces replaced with something that will make it look new again.

The instructions need to be improved. Some of the pictures do not match the instructions. The pins that are supposed to drop into place on top of the swingset did not fit into place. I had to disassemble parts of the swing to line the pins up. My children want me to get in the playhouse with them but I fear the platform will not hold my weight.
