I'm part of the Step2 test drive mom's program for bloggers and received the Naturally Playful Woodland Climber for a review on my site.

This compact playground offers hours of fun play without taking up lots of space! The colors are bright and the larger size appeals to both young and older kids. The Naturally Playful Woodland Climber is a wonderful way to give your kiddos the fun of the playground any day of the week!

Everything in the box was easy to lift out and very light. There were 11 pieces not including the bag of screws that they came with.
Most of the large pieces ended up fitting together by pushing them into place.
There are screws that are used to reinforce the climber and keep the sides attached to the floor area. I recommend using a power drill. There are pre-determined spots for the screws to go but no holes. With the plastic being so thick, we weren't able to hand screw them into the climber so our power drill came in very handy!

After all was done, the put together time came to about 45min! Not too bad!

The Naturally Playful Woodland Climber is the perfect size for both my daughter (2) and my son (1). It's large enough that my daughter can play on it and feel as if she is at the big playground and small enough that my son can still interact with it. He particularly likes the little fort space underneath! The slide is a wonderful height, allowing them both to feel safe going down it.

I had to show my daughter how to use the climbing wall on the sides, but once she got the hang of it, she uses that more now then the stairs! I love that the climber offers 2 steering wheels which allows them both to use one at the same time, eliminating a possible fighting match!

All in all, this climber is loved by our entire family! I highly recommend the Naturally Playful Woodland climber, especially for those looking to conserve space!

    Comments about Step2 Naturally Playful® Woodland Climber™:

Durable sturdy product, very easy to put together even at 5 months pregnant. Only thing-No screws included. Slide and ladder were difficult to put on. Colors are very gender neutral. My almost 15 month old daughter cant climb the ladder or the rock wall yet, but she loves to be put on the platform and slide down.

        Comments about Step2 Naturally Playful® Woodland Climber™:

We discovered at the park that my 12 month old son loved going down slides, so we decided to purchase a climber. We chose this climber as we thought it would last for many years. He got it for Christmas (13 months old) and so far loves it. He loves going down the slide and is now starting to climb up the ladder by himself. He also loves crawling underneath the climber and playing a little hide and seek game. We have this in our backyard and it seems very sturdy. Assembly was super easy; it took us about 20 minutes to put it together. The only con is that the two steering wheel things are very tight and my son can not turn them. He will need to get older and get some more strength to be able to move them.

We bought this for my 14 month old son. He loves to climb the ladder, go down the slide and turn the steering wheels! I love that it has the rock climbing walls, he isn't big enough for them yet, but it gives him something to grow into meaning this toy will last even longer! It was very easy to put together, looks great and is very sturdy!

            Comments about Step2 Naturally Playful® Woodland Climber™:

Bought this for my twins (2 years old) recently on a sale. Wow, this is super easy to put together. Snap on a few pieces, screw it and it's done. It's very attractive and very sturdy. Both boys can stand on the platform and it still holds strong. The only questionable features is the bottom. If they said it can be a sandbox, a bottom piece would be a good idea.

            Service and delivery comments:

            - Bottom piece to hold the sand
            - more variety of play things other than wheels (i.e. telescope)

A shopper asked: Can someone who has the Woodland Climber give me the footprint dimensions of just the fort part, and the width of the slide and ladder and how far they stick out? I'm trying to figure out if I can fit this into my daughter's room by rearranging furniture to make just enough space in the right directions. She has a Kangaroo Climber right now (loves it), but is about ready to move up. Apr 1, 2013

Aimee B: I would be happy to measure it for you in the morning. :) It is wider than the Kangaroo Climber and the slide doesn't come out too far IMO. :) Apr 3, 2013

A shopper asked: Does anyone know the length of the slide? I wanted to get a playhouse with a slide attached, but didn't want the slide to be too small for my 3 year old son. Thanks! Apr 9, 2013

Joyce C: I got this climber for my grandsons 2nd birthday. He lives in another state but I think the slide is probably 4ft in length. He is almost 3yrs old now and 3ft tall but the slide is longer than he is. This will be of use to him for a good 3 to 4 yrs longer. Apr 12, 2013

Donna R: I haven't measured the slide yet, but I can tell you that my 2 year old daughter is taller than most 3 year olds. She slides down it fine, and loves this playset. Apr 13, 2013

Adrian G: We have this for a 2.5 and 1 year old. The slide is fine for those ages, but I can already see my older child less interested. For a 3 year old I am not sure this is the best option. Apr 15, 2013

1stTimeDad asked: Should this item be installed and set up in the back yard on a tarp, sand, playground chips, etc??? I have gas that has tons of weeds (we bought the home 3 months ago and the last owner didn't take care of the lawn), so I don't know if I should just put it on the ground and might have issues with mud and weed issues. THANKS! May 9, 2013
