I bought this not for storage but as an additional seat for one of my children. It's a lot easier with all 3 of them in the wagon. We put our youngest child in the tag-along in his carseat and it fits perfectly like it was made for a carseat. It sets nicely down in the tag-along so there is no fear of it tipping over. We also let our oldest sit in it sometimes and she loves it. Going to have a great time with it at the amusement parks this year and a lot less of a hassle than previous years with pushing strollers and pulling the wagon =) Would definatly recomend this to anyone.

Great way to expand carrying capacity for multiple kids, but the hitch is not designed properly and would work only if the trailer was permanently attached to the wagon. This can be done with effort and imagination, because the instructions are useless and don't foresee this necessity.

Comments about Step2 Tag-Along Trailer Plus:

Purchased in June of 2011. Use to take the grandkids to the fair, for walks, and for trips to the parks; anywhere that there is a lot of ground for little ones to cover.
I like it because it is sturdy but light enough for Grandma to lift into the van. The trailer is great for carrying all the extras.
I wish there was more foot room in the wagon; as they grow they don't have much area for feet. The trailer is very hard to attach to the wagon. I have to turn it and the wagon upside down to attach it and use a piece of a 1x4 board with a rubber mallot to pound the hitch onto the wagon. It usually comes off of the wagon when pulling on rough terrain, which requires emptying everything and everyone, turning it upside down and pounding it back on. My husband has just as much trouble attaching it as I do. I wish Step2 would make some changes in how it attaches to the wagon.

Comments about Step2 Tag-Along Trailer Plus:

Product is cute! Was excited to purchase this, except it was missing the bar to attach the wheels to. Very disappointed. It's Saturday today, so I need to call step2 on Monday to let them know. Luckily I'm not using the trailer anytime soon. I would recommend this product if all pieces were there.

Comments about Step2 Tag-Along Trailer Plus:

Step 2 offers red, blue and green wagons but only sells a green trailer...WHY? It just seems silly I cant buy a matching trailer for my blue wagon. And the Choo Choo trailers and Safari trailers are also NOT compatible with the other wagons...again, why? If its all Step 2, it should be compatible, esp. if you wont offer the matching one. We love Step 2 but they really let us down here. :(

Bought this to go with the wagon, had shipped to my brother for his 2 and 3 year old greatgrands. He did put the handles on backward at first, even though I told him to read the assembly instructions. Otherwise, everyone loves this wagon/trailer. The two year old can pull the entire thing around the yard, yet it is heavy duty enough to carry home groceries and tired little ones comfortably. Thank you for a quality product.

A shopper asked: How do you attach the trailor to the wagon ? May 4, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Connie K: Well, it takes two people to attach and un-attach the trailer. That is the only issue. To attach, takes some strength, with one pulling on the wagon and the other on the trailer, with both turned upside down (works best). Then, to disconnect, you reverse the process by pushing on both so that the connector pops out. Also, there is a screw that over time works loose and the trailer falls off. (This happened to us at a zoo.) Easy solution, keep a small Phillips screwdriver in the little underseat compartment, so that you always have it with you and aren't stranded on the opposite side of the park, zoo, etc. with little ones and a loose trailer with your picnic bag and cooler. We all really love the set up and get lots of comments when using it. Would definitely recommend this product. May 6, 2013

Kim F: There is a screw and washer that goes under the storage seat in the wagon which screws into a big plastic "knob" on the underside of the wagon. The trailer then goes under the wagon and the knob fits into the trailer extension. This is really hard to describe because I don't know the correct terms of the pieces. It is easy to attach if you aren't afraid of tools. Good luck and I hope this was helpful! May 7, 2013

            Chris B: Hi Rebecca S.
The connector hooks on underneath the wagon body under the seat and it is held firmly in place by a screw. I recommend the trailer as it holds up to 40 lbs and holds many things and is very convenient. Not easy to constantly detach but well worth it

Chris B: As long as you have about a 1 inch hole near the rear of the wagon the trailer will attach but be sure you do not want to detach often as this may be a hassle May 17, 2013
