Purchased for grandchild. Arrived within a reasonable time and in great condition. It was a bit bigger than I thought it would be but it was easy to put together. Love the product. Grandchild loved. Fantastic product and great shopping experience. Definitely will order from Step2 company again!

Comments about Step2 Thomas the Tank Engine™ Up & Down Roller Coaster™:

This is easy to assemble and can be used inside or out. My little one loves it and rides it continuously for more than an hour at a time.

The slope is sufficient to give a sense of descent and the "rollercoaster" feel but slow enough that it can easily be stopped by feet alone without parental intervention.

Comments about Step2 Thomas the Tank Engine™ Up & Down Roller Coaster™:

Our 3yr. old loves this coaster. We are impressed how well the wheels move and how far it goes on cement! It does OK on grass too just not as far. The little train is light enough that our 3 yr. old can pick it up himself to put back on the track. Easy to assemble too, grandma did it!!!

Parent asked: Does the stickers in the train come already in it or did one has to put the stickers on? Do they stay on well or do the stickers tend to come off? Oct 24, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (1) No (0)
Steven A: The stickers come on two separate sheets. I had to peel them from the sheet and place them on the train. Placement is easy, even without the instruction sheet - there are indents on the train in the shape of the stickers.

It's too soon to say how long the stickers will last, but the stickers on other Step2 toys have lasted two years so far, even with heavy use.

Marcela M: You have to put them on. To answer you second question, I think it depends, humidity (weather), cleaning method, how the children takes care of, and how careful you put them on. But it´s easy, fun and not a big deal. It´s an amazing toy, my son loves it and looks, if it´s possible, better than any image, 100% happy. Oct 31, 2013

Karla M: We need to put the stickers on but the instructions are very clear and my son did it! They do stay well. My two sons are really enjoying the roller coaster and now that winter us almost here, we have it in the basement. I hope you guys enjoy it too!. Oct 28, 2013

Jennifer R: The stickers have to be applied once you assemble the train (you have to put the wheels on the body). The stickers have stayed applied well, and this product has been outside several times and exposed to rain. Oct 28, 2013

Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Heather P: We take it apart and set it back up often. It literally takes like 3minutes to set up....very simple even my 6 year old can do it. We store it on the floor of our pantry closet to use on our tile and then put it away when the kids lose interest from playing after an hour or so (ages 2,4,6). I threw the box away but it wasn't crazy huge. Jun 27, 2014
Reply to Heather Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
Carol R: I don't think this is suitable for indoor use. Unless you have a very large game room or something. We use it on a 40 ft patio and the train probably ends up about halfway across it. We have a three year old and a 2 year old that just love it. It comes in a fairly large box, sorry I don't remember the dimensions. Jun 28, 2014
Reply to Carol Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
Steven A: Thomas himself is mostly one piece; you attach the wheels and put on stickers, and don't take it apart. You can pull apart the track easily; each color is a separate piece. I'm not sure of the shipping box, it might have been about 4 feet by 2.5 feet by 1.5 feet. Jun 27, 2014
Reply to Steven Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
Christopher f: I take it apart every night and put it out of the way (ours is inside) and put it back together in the morning. The pieces pop apart easily bit also lock together securely. Takes about 20 seconds.

The box was about 3 feet tall and 2 feet square.

Gayle W: We purchased this for our grandson who turned three this month. His dad had no trouble putting it together and I put the decals on the train. We did this while he was taking a nap. I thought it was good that there are steps on both sides so it provides flexibility on where you put it. He is at a prefect age for this with large muscle skills and also knowing Thomas the Train. It's fun going down and then exercise when he pushes it back to the starting position. I was very pleased with this purchase. Oct 29, 2013
