Can you imagine how excited my little ones were when they saw this big box sitting on our front porch?

Yes they were jumping up and down begging us to open it...LOL

We immediately took it out back on our patio and began to open the box. We laid out all of the pieces and began to look at the directions.

My husband and I put it together and it took us about 5-10 minutes from start to finish. We even forgot to put a piece in and had to do a step twice. The directions are super easy. I had the piece in and my kids messed with it and it fell out and we didn't realize it when we attached it. The directions are very easy to follow and have pics to make it easier :)

The only thing we recommend is having a screw gun charged. There are not that many screws but using it makes it go twice as fast.

My kids absolutely love this table. The recommended age is 1.5 and up. My kids are ages 8, 6 and 1 and as you can see they are all enjoying playing with it. We live in Florida and we have had some beautiful, warm weather so they have been able to play with it alot.

They tell me all the time how much they love it and beg me to let them play with it. I love that it is a bigger design so all 3 of them can easily fit around it. I also like that they have several different pieces throughout the table. There is something for everyone to play with so they are not fussing over the same piece.

I also like that you can take some of the items off if you don't want them on there and place them back on. My baby girl is constantly taking them off and putting them somewhere else. My older two children just laugh.

It doesn't take long to fill up with water and is just as easy to drain. There is a black plug on the inside of the table. All you have to do is pull it up and the water drains out. The plug is very secure and ensure that their is no dripping. This is a huge plus on my end. We had a water table in the past from another company and it constantly leaked and drove me nuts.

Basically difficult to "read" the 4o+ picture only step instructions to put together. I am still, after several attempts and blisters on my hands, fingers and palms from several different screwdrivers, still am trying to screw in the bottom large bolt that goes thru the base into the palm tree. May give up altogether and just try to cover up the hole with duct tape to plug.

The Palmtree spinners don't work. But our Granddaughter doesn't seem to care. You have to prime the pump each time you fill it so it is easier for the child to do it. The slide and diving board don't fit right and pop off all the time. But again, this doesn't seem to bother her. Any child that loves water play will enjoy this toy.

I bought this for my granddaughter's 1st birthday. Her 2 1/2 year old brother and 4 year old sister also love to play with it. They love the water play! There is enough room and activities for all 3 of them to play together at the same time. It is sturdy and a great toy for multiple children with different skill levels

This is our first water table, and my three little girls LOVE it! The oldest is 6, and the youngest is 1.5, and they all enjoy playing with it for hours at a time. The only small cons: 1) The height can't be raised to adjust as the kids get taller, however the older girls don't seem to mind the short height. (It's perfect for the very tall 1.5 year old.) And 2) there is a small leak around the bolt under the palm tree, despite the seal. This doesn't leak the water very fast, and it doesn't seem to bother anyone, so not a big deal. Would highly recommend this water table!!

A shopper asked: Just pulled everything out of the package to begin construction. Putting legs on, and there are no holes in the blue base or legs for the screws to screw into. Do I just screw into the plastic? That does not seem correct. Is this the way they all come? Aug 16, 2013

Step2Staff: Our screws are self tapping screws and able to go through the plastic. You may need to start them with a hammer. Please follow the instructions or find the indents in the plastic to line up the screws correctly. We do this in an effort to ensure that no shavings inadvertently are left over in the box as a result of pre-drilling. These shavings could pose a choking hazard to little ones. Aug 16, 2013

KarolaW asked: Has anyone found a work around to make the slide and diving board less frustrating? My diving board just falls off, it's a pain to keep putting it back. However the slide doesn't even come close to fitting. It is slightly crooked and the peg underneath the slide, that should fit into the hole provided is way too short. The entire slide is at least 1/2" above the support it is suppose to rest on. Consequently the peg doesn't even come close to the hole.

Pouring water over the tree also does not make the waterwheels move. The water doesn't come close to hitting the right spots. And the octopus is suppose to do what? Is this table only suppose to have an inch of water? Any more than that and the octopus is swimming. Can't expect a toddler to make it spin if it doesn't even stay put where it belongs.

I don't believe exchanging the item is the solution. These appear to be design flaws that will not be rectified by asking for a replacement. Anyone come up with some home fixes?

thanks in advance for any comments,
          KarolaW

M H: I was just wondering if Step2 has done anything to correct these issues? They seem to be so common in all the reviews. I sooo want this table, but don't want to be disappointed. Apr 11, 2014
Danielle F: Still no correction for these problems unfortunately…we just got the water table yesterday (6/14/14) and the slide, diving board, octopus spinning thing do not stay on..they just sit on the table…At this price point, I can't believe Step2 hasn't corrected the problem by making the pieces snap into place. Kimberly C: No, it does not have a cover.
In addition, I would recommend to replace the water every couple of days so that it doesn't become stagnant. If it's not going to be used for several days... empty out the water and leave the plug out so that rain water will not collect in the table. Hope this helps!

Kathleen M: I bought this 2 summers ago for my nephew who had just turned 1 that April. He loved to splash in it & used to climb in it & sit & play too! It's not higher than other water tables, maybe the top measurement for the water features are what you're looking at. I own a day care center also & it's not taller than other tables I have there either. My nephew used it alot when he was 2 also! I'm sure next summer will b the same. The dog uses it for drinking too! Nov 26, 2013

Nicole S: I don't think it is too high. It should be fine. At age 1, the kids don't play with it the same way your 3 year old would. The 1 year old will be happy to hold a figure and splash the water. I do love this water table that I've had for 2 years now. I did just buy this for a family member as well. Hope that helps. Sara S: We initially bought this when my daughter was 1 1/2 and she was plenty tall enough to play with it. She is pretty petite, so I think it should be fine. She has loved it, so I would definitely recommend it. :O) Nov 26, 2013

Megan asked: my table is leaking around the big yellow screw. the washer is on the inside, and i made sure it was tight. any others with this issue? how did you resolve? Jun 19, 2013

Ann M: Megan you probably screwed the screw in either to tight or not tight enough lol I know that's not a great answer but what you could do is go home Depot Lowes or any other hard Ware store and get a bigger screw. Bring your screw in and show them and ask for one just a little bit bigger. Or just get plumbers tape rape it around the screw and screw it back. That will stop any leaks. Hope this helps Jun 20, 2013

JESSICA E: Sadly no. But in our case with the small pool with the umbrella, they get destroyed very easily. We just put ours in the shade. Apr 15, 2013

David K asked: Has anyone had any issues with the two brown water wheels? The directions say that they just snap onto the green leaf that hangs from the tree. I tried to snap them on and they just slide right through without connecting. It appears that the two wheels are too large to snap onto the leaf like the direction explain. Has anyone else had this issue? Is this just a matter of ordering a new leaf and two water wheels from Step2? Jul 9, 2013

          Judy H: Hi,

Since I installed this table more than a year ago, I don't recall all the details. However, I did not have particular problems with installation following the directions. Be careful, plastic can strip easily if screwing too fast or too roughly. Good luck!

KarolaW: Make sure you are not attempting to put the washer on the outside of the table. Oce we moved ours to the inside - the yellow screw was plenty long. May 21, 2013

A shopper asked: My question is already askes:

I live in the netherlands , whst do i do?

          Greetings
