My 14 Month old is getting use to this, he gets in and out all by himself just to honk the horn over and over. I had to make a few adjustments to this item, I rigged this baby with a DVD player for our long strolls, I am also adding a padded seat because it is only hard plastic how uncomfortable is that plus a canopy for a little shade. People are use to the older model and are very curious when seeing this cadillac style buggy roaming the neighborhood.

We use this car daily and have pretty much replaced the stroller with it. I love everything about it except the handle. It's so flimsy! We have the older loud version of this car as well, and since we use it mostly on the road, the noise was just unbearable. I don't have to worry about my son's ears with this one, and I can carry on a coversation with the person next to me, however the handle is so flimsy I'm not sure it will last long. We've had it for four months and have already cracked one on the base. I saw some of the older reviews on here with customer service replies saying there was a newer rigid handle, so I called Step2. They sent out the replacement one, but it's exactly the same as the old cracked one. It has so much play in it that it's nearly impossible to turn. With the old one you could just push down slightly on the handle to lift the front tires and turn the buggy. With the new the handle has about two feet of up and down play, plus quite a bit side to side as well. Lifting either the front or back wheels is the only way to turn it, so I don't see another alternative in making the handles last longer. [...]

Need two seats!! Our oldest daughter LOVES this car, but now it sits unused, as we now have two girls close in age but just one pusher (me) who also has to walk a dog. Need a two-seater with just one push handle please!!!

Comments about Step2 Whisper Ride Buggy:

Our son loves riding in this more than in his stroller. We have only had it a few weeks and have used it so much. This model definitely has wheels that make less noise. The little trunk is cute and functional, we also love the little cup holder. This little car is going to get a lot of miles on it :)

Comments about Step2 Whisper Ride Buggy:

I bought this for my 8 month old daughter. I had planned on giving it to her for her first birthday but after we assembled it we thought she would probably fit in it right away. So we gave it to her early, what a great decision that was. She rides in this car all the time, in the backyard, on walks, and most importantly we take it grocery shopping. She absolutely loves this car! She is alittle bigger than other kids her age so maybe that is why she fits in it so well. This was a great purchase for her. I love the step 2 products!

Comments about Step2 Whisper Ride Buggy:

I was not going to get this, as i already have three varieties of strollers, but i wanted him to enjoy walks more. He loves loves loves walks now!! Love the cupholder, horn, and storage! We walk three times a day at times! No hassle of stroller buckling (its an easy waist strap that, assuming adjusted to your childs size, is sufficient and quick.) and i think he really enjoys sitting upright rather back at an angle. He got it at 9mo/26#, and at first loved just simply sitting in it and playing with the steering wheel. I hook toys onto the wheel that he plays with easily, but since he can see so much more than he could in a stroller, he seldom gets bored. The negative is that there isnt sun protection like u would have with a stroller. We use hats!

Comments about Step2 Whisper Ride Buggy:

Love it we use it everyday! So needs a cup holder for sippy cup and they should make a two seater or double seat for parents with more than one kid (twins or children close in age).

        Service and delivery comments:

These could so use a cup holder for my sons sippy cup.
Also... has Step2 ever thought of making this into a two seater. I have two sons that are close in age. It is almost impossible to push two cars at once. I'm sure the parents of twins would also like this as an option.

A shopper asked: What is the difference between this one and the whisper 2 ride on? Apr 12, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Travis S: The new model has two cupholders and the push handle has been updated. Some issues were had with the original handle - i think it came off unexpectedly - and repair kits were offered to those purchase thru 2010. Mine was bought in 2012 and had a new handle but still was not a model "2". Now they just updated the item altogether - probably partly bc some of the first models were defective. If you buy the new one you get an extra cup holder and dont need to worry about the recall. If you bought the first model, and it has the original handle (i think it has a yellow button) then contact them for a repair kit so it doesnt come off. Apr 15, 2013
