When life hands you lemons, what do you do? According to American writer, Dale Carnegie, you should make lemonade! And that’s exactly what seven-year-old Quinn Callender decided to do to help raise money for his best friend, Brayden Grozdanich. Brayden has cerebral palsy and needs a surgery that will help him to walk without braces.
With the help of Quinn’s parents, social media, a fundraising website and some lemons, Quinn was able to spread the word about his lemonade stand to raise money to help pay for his best friend’s surgery. On July 6, 2014, Quinn and Brayden sold lemonade outside their local grocery store and needless to say, their fundraiser was a hit! The boys exceeded their goal of $20,000 and have reached over $59,000.
