Step2® designs and manufactures rotationally molded plastic products made for everyday life. We focus on how families actually use their spaces, shaping toys and home essentials that feel natural in daily routines. Our products are made to bring joy into everyday life and support the memories families build at home.
Rooted in the COMMUNITY
Step2 proudly employs moms, dads, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and everyone in between right here in Ohio to create products that we’re excited to share with you and bring home to our own families.
We boast two large US manufacturing plants in northern Ohio, one in Streetsboro and one in Perrysville. Step2 products are distributed to select retailers throughout the US, Canada, and over 70 other countries.
Step2 In History
Our Beginning
Step2 was founded in 1991 by Thomas Murdough, a longtime toy innovator and member of the Toy Industry Hall of Fame.
Our First Products
Early innovation focused on the Home & Garden market, including the Step2 MailMaster™ Mailbox which now graces millions of homes across the US with its durable construction and distinct design.
Creating New Ways to Play
In 2006, Step2 launched the Waterwheel Play Table. This kid’s water table was the first of its kind and propelled the creation of an entirely new way to play!
Expanding Further into Home
In 2021, Step2 launched a new line of planters with premium detailing, long-lasting construction, and beautiful style.
Our Continued Growth
In 2023, Step2 ventured into the pool category and was met with great enthusiasm from consumers across the country.
Today
Step2 remains committed to creating products that stand the test of time and enhance everyday moments in homes across the world.
