I personally like the white polish looked but there’s endless possibilities for customization for your desired look! "We are so happy with the Step2 Nutcracker Prince. We have not yet painted it as we plan to do that closer to the holiday, but the details are beautiful and the size is perfect. No assembly necessary-which is a huge bonus. We especially love that it is very light to move about despite its large size and that it will not be as fragile as if it were made of another material. "You can paint it one color, or get creative. It’s very detailed, front and back. Is small enough to make a huge impact on either side of your fireplace or weigh them down with the hole in the back and place them outside. They are adorable!"
"We’re really happy with the Step2 4ft Paintable Nutcracker! It’s made from durable, lightweight plastic, so it feels sturdy and well-made while still being easy to move around. The 4-foot size is great too—it makes a fun statement without being too large. I included pictures showing the front and back, along with a size comparison next to my 4-year-old and 2-year-old. It really helps show just how big it is! They’re sturdy enough for decorating, but if you’re planning to use them outside, I’d recommend securing them well. They may not hold up to a strong wind on their own because they’re lightweight. We’re excited to paint and customize ours for the holidays. Overall, a fun, durable, and lightweight decoration that the whole family can enjoy!"
"These 4 ft. Nutcrackers are very sturdy. They are hollow and made from a very thick plastic. They seem as if they could get knocked around without breaking or denting. They are very light so I would recommend filling the bottom with sand. There is a hole in the back for filling and even a cap to prevent spills. No sand is included. The nutcrackers themselves are identical, allowing you to either paint them the same or use two different color pallets or designs. They also look nice in the white they came in if you don’t want to paint them at all. I appreciated that there is a pamphlet included in the box with instructions on how to prime, paint and seal the nutcrackers. These nutcrackers will look good inside or outside the house."
"Absolutely love this 4 ft paintable nutcracker and I can’t wait to customize it! Step 2 always has the most durable plastics great for indoor and outdoor use. This nutcracker makes a statement, as is, for minimalist style but the creative opportunities for this guy are endless! Will definitely last for years with the quality! Looks like you could easily drill a hole and add. Light to the bottom as well. I’ve customized my step 2 plastic products before and spray paint and clear coats can last for years looking new without showing wear."
