"Aftyer 14 years with a Step2 mailbox, the door broke where it swings open. Contact info for Step2 was readily available on the door. Called and spoke with Chad, an outstanding rep, who immediately offered a complimentary replacement door! What a stellar company with stellar support for their product! What stellar service!! Step2 serves as a model in professionalism, commitment and service to their customers for all other corporations."

Overall good mailbox with magnetic latches
"Overall it is a good mailbox and I’m happy with the performance of the magnetic door latches. Only thing that bothers me a bit is the fasteners for the post only attach to the back and the front moves a bit side to side. Also, the caps for the screws that assemble the mailbox do not fit, but don’t affect the function. Post fastening should be improved to make this a 5 star mailbox"

Nice looking mailbox
"Really like the look compared to my previous Step2 mailbox. The only issue I had was with the screw caps. They don’t fit very well in the recessed area for the screw head. Had to add washers to screws to raise the screw out of the recessed area so the screw caps/covers would stay on the screw heads. Will probably have to epoxy them onto the screws."

Excellent Design
"I bought this model Step2 mailbox to replace my existing Step2 mailbox of similar design that blew down in recent heavy winds due to a rotted 4x4 post. I selected this design because it shields the 4x4 post on all sides from moisture except below ground. To mitigate future rot, I coated the post with a liquid preservative and bought a vinyl 4x4 fence post and end cap to protect the wood post from moisture since I live in a wet area. Thus, the hole needed bo be a little deeper than the 24 inches in the instructions. After letting the concrete set overnight, I finished putting the mailbox together. The instructions were easy to follow and it came together quickly and easily. This design is a lot better because it protects the wood post completely rather than only three sides like the old one which was in place when I moved in. I also like the fact that Step2 provides replacement parts in case a door needs replacement."
