Issues our of the box
"Our daughter loves this and the concept is great, but I ran into issues before she ever set foot inside. First, and most importantly, the edges where pieces have been molded together were not shaved down after manufacture. As a result, there were numerous, very sharp pieces of plastic running down the middle of the molds. One of those pieces sliced my finger when I grazed it, prompting me to spend hours shaving the seams to ensure my daughter didn't run her hand over something similar. This should have been done after production. Also, one of the tube screw connections was broken. Not a huge deal, since there are seven other screws in the tube, but annoying considering the price and how much assembly was already done by the time I discovered this. Finally, set aside a couple hours of your day and have your form of stress relief handy before embarking on putting this thing together. Due to the sharp seams on almost every piece of this, I wouldn't buy it again or recommend it for anyone else."

Bad Mold issues in wall that can’t be cleaned.

There is black mold inside the white area of the toy, even after taking it apart there’s no way to get to clean it and there’s no way to let it air out to dry, we contacted our pediatrician and they also told us to reach out to Step 2 and we did not get this issue resolved. They refused. Unfortunately we are having to -throw away- this very expensive toy as we were advised by our kids pediatrician not to keep it due to the black mold that is built up inside of it. It states on the product this is an indoor outdoor toy. The only warning it gives is to keep out of freezing weather. It says nothing about keeping out of water. We live in Nevada. This is a dry climate I live in, so this really shouldn’t have been an issue. I’ve never had a problem with one of the plastic toys like this until now, please buyer beware. Step 2 is not being helpful at all. This was their uncaring response to a toy we are being forced to throw away: Dayleen, Our quality person reviewed your pictures and can see that the playhouse was exposed to water conditions that has caused the mold issue. Great Fun
"This is one of my favorite Step 2 products. I first bought it about 4 years ago and it is still going strong. Not only does my 5 yr old grandson still love this his new cousin now plays in it. We even catch our 13 yr old granddaughter playing along. Everyone who walks by cant resist tossing a ball on top. I did buy lots of extra balls."

"My Grandson loves this fun house. If you have extra balls poor them on the roof and let the little one enjoy the sound of them falling down the tubes and into the house. There are so many games you can make up to play, the ball launcher is fun too. We even noticed little openings at the bottom of the house that we use to play mini golf. It really is a lot of fun, just use your imagination. Yes, you need a drill to assemble this, unless you naturally have super hand strength."
