Rated 5 out of 5 by from A crossing guard for my dog! Isabella is an 8 year old Yorkie who is well disciplined. She knows not to leave our paved driveway and not to go into the asphalt street. However, when two vehicles pass one another at the end of the driveway they tend to swerve onto the pavers where the dog sits. She enjoys the warm pavers, sights and smells. Because she feels confident about the KIDALERT & PUP she now sits next to it! Of course, someone is always outside with her. She is the same size and shape as the PUP. Neighbors are planning to purchase one for each property to slow-down the traffic on this well-traveled side street. Thanks for a great product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Safer then no signs... Bought two of these for my grandkids whom are autistic and live in a corner house. They love to run up and down the sidewalk but run in the street as well even with supervision, chasing them back and much prodding not to do so. I have to say they have been very effective in slowing traffic and I am grateful. The signs are very visible and drivers seem to respect them in this neighborhood. The orange flag curls about the pole but that is from packaging and merely flattening it and putting some weight on it for a couple days fixed that. Thank you so much, these signs are keeping my grandkids safer < 3

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great sign very effective Signs are very effective. I immediately noticed cars slowing down. Easy to put together and stand great. Only issue and the reason for 4 stars is three fact that the instructions indicate to put water or and in the attachable cross leg but the plug isn't water tight and you can't get much water in below the plug line or the water leaks out fast. The plug was hard to get in so I'm not sure if I will be able to get it back out to put sand in. Haven't tested in strong wind yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly recommend as it does what it claims Easy assembly and they look durable. They are a great size and can be seen easily. The plug for the base appears to be a onetime use, so if you use water I would imagine it will slowly evaporate and I'm not sure how you would add more. That is why I used sand.Last note that the base snapped on tight meaning you can carry it as one unit which I like. However if you plan on disasimbaling for space saving storage it could be a bit frustrating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would buy again! I recently purchased 2 of the KidAlert & Pup signs. The street my grand kids, ages 5 & 2, live on is a low traffic area, but the cars that do use that street travel way too fast. One sign is in front of their house and the other one went to their neighbor to help protect their 5 year old daughter. The presence of the signs has helped let the drivers know there are now kids in the neighborhood. Most of them have slowed down. The signs are worth every cent to help save a child's life.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Stick with the original Works, but definitely not at good as the original. If there is anykind of wind it falls over. Only one leg for support.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Must have for a neighborhood with kids! I'm a Step2 Ambassador and was sent this item to review. Right out of the box, I was super excited to see that there was minimal assembly. I had it up and ready to use within a few minutes. We love the updated look of the KidAlert & Pup. The dog is adorable and the child is more unisex. It's any mom's worst nightmare to even think about a child being ran over. I have anxiety about allowing my children play in our front yard, but there just isn't enough pavement for them to ride bikes in our backyard. The KidAlert & Pup helps calm my fears. I'm still on high alert, but I've noticed that cars pay attention and slow down when they see it in the street. A few of the parents in my neighborhood have thanked me when they see me putting the KidAlert & Pup out.I think any neighborhood with children needs a KidAlert & Pup!

Does this VWS have the word SLOW on it? If not is there a reason why? Thank you

Asked by: Mark
Yes it does.  It is a plastic sheet that sticks on.  Hot sun does degrade it after two yrs.

Can I just buy the safety alert flag for the kids sign? I still have the sign with the kid and dog but my flag is broken.
