Customer ReviewsRated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Our son loves this car! We love this car. Our son loves it and lights up every time we take it out for play/ to incorporate in our family walks. This car is very solid and well made. I also love the bright color (red) that we chose. We gave this to our son for his first Birthday, as something that he could grow into, and now a few months later he has really started to love it. As a parent of 3 children, 4 years old and younger, another things that I just love about this car, is that all 3 of our kids can use it. I love the varied recommended age range on this car, and with the Step2 brand's quality, I am sure that this will last long enough for everyone to enjoy, for years to come! I highly recommend this product to other parents of little ones!Date published: 2017-05-07Rated 5 out of 5 by CarMom from AMAZING! Thank you to Step2 for letting me test this item as part of the Step2 toy tester program! When we were selected to test this toy my 2 year old son was extatic! He is in love with cars right now. It was fairly easy to assemble, although I did have a few issues with the parts that required hammering. But other then that it was fine. This coupe is super lightweight and easy to move around. I like the versatility in being able to push it or have my son move it on his own. Also the height of it is perfect so I'm not leaning over hurting my back trying to push him along. I do wish that the floorboard snapped in instead of screwed for a easier transition between the two. But other then that this is a well made toy that is built to last!Date published: 2017-02-16Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Product Tester. We LOVE it. Thank you to Step2 for letting me test this item as part of the Step2 toy tester program! We absolutely love this product. When we found out we were selected for the Turbo Coupe we were excited. My daughter absolutely loves cars. This product was very easy to put together as long as you have the right tools. It took maybe 15 minutes. We love that it's easy to drive/push around. In comparison to other coupes, this one turns very well. She loves driving around the table and this design makes it so simple to do that. We also love that it comes with a foot gaurd so she can be pushed around. I do wish that it snapped in and out so we could use it both ways. My ONLY con about is product is that it is low to the ground. My 2 year old has long legs. It may get hard for her to self propel as she gets older.Date published: 2017-02-13Rated 3 out of 5 by Drmarcy from Road Trippin' Thank you to Step2 for letting me test this item as part of the Step2 toy tester program! We were thrilled to be selected to participate and really do like this car...at least we will when my twins are a little bit older. I have 16 month old twins and they love being pushed and pushing each other in the car (they can't reach the floor yet to propel themselves). The problem is they keep sliding off the seat and there is no seat belt, making it less than ideal for younger/smaller kids. It was difficult to put together, starting with there were no instructions in the box and I had to find them online and download them. There is a screw that protrudes in the back (it's flush and can't hurt anyone) but my son in particular is fixated with it. It would be good if it could be covered in some way.My daughter likes to pack all her things in the seat: her books, her toys, her bibs....as if she is packing for a trip, which is funny because we rarely go anywhere by car!Overall, I think it's a good toy and would recommend it. We are in an apartment so there isn't a ton of room to wheel around, but if you have the space and the patience to put it together then it's good for you!Date published: 2017-02-21Rated 3 out of 5 by Anonymous from Fun for little ones Thank you to Step2 for letting me test this item as part of the Step2 toy tester program.I was very pleased to be accepted to try out the Step2 turbo coupe foot to floor car with my kids. Overall I would recommend this to children who are small or average in size and under 5.Pros:Very appealing for young children. Both of my kids wanted to drive as soon as they saw the car.The horn is easy to "honk".Turns easily on carpet.Has a foot plate that allows younger children to ride in the car while an adult pushes.Cons:Extremely frustrating to assemble. Although the directions listed tools required, we had to use a drill to make some of the holes during assembly. If we didn't already own a drill I'm not sure I could have assembled this without my husband to help. One other aspect of the assembly that was very difficult was hammering a cap onto the small front wheel. The force required to actually get the cap to stay on the bolt was excessive. In the end it did get assembled correctly, but that is mainly because I gave up and had my husband do it.Another ding against this car is the low profile and distance between the seat and the ground. My 2.5 year old is tall and has to take many tiny steps to move the car, as his knees are bunched up near the dash.Lastly if I would add anything to the car it would be a seatbelt strap. This would come in handy when using the foot plate and punching the smaller children so that they don't fall out. The doors don't come up super high, so the added safety feature would be appreciated.Date published: 2017-02-15Rated 5 out of 5 by LoganMama09 from Turbo fun for toddlers! Thank you to Step2 for letting me test this item as part of the Step2 toy tester program! My son thoroughly enjoyed this opportunity, and will enjoy this car for years to come. The Step 2 Turbo Coupe foot to floor, is an excellent and durable product that toddlers will absolutely love. My son is non verbal, and we often find it challenging to understand what he is thinking, based on his completely positive reaction, this toy is a win! He fully comprehends our instructions on how to use the toy, and it's so well made and detailed that he can figure most of it out on his own.The toy has a special wheel in the front, that makes maneuvering the sidewalks and park terrain easy. The handle is high enough for even taller parents like myself, something I have struggled with before. I find the Turbo Coupe's design to be very sleek and modern, and not as babyish as some of the other options from other brands. I have already received many compliments on the design and detail of the car.The foot board is great for neighborhood walks and easy to use without!Pros:Well made design. The quality of Step 2 products is evident all throughout this toy. It's heavy duty and structured to last for years. The size offers room for growth. My son is almost 2, but stands and weighs at 3 year old measurements, he had no problem getting in and out and using the toy.So simple to move around. My son also doesn't fall through the bottom if he loses his footing, something we have struggled with when using other car products.Toddler approved! My son ADORES this toy, and even has a tantrum now and then when it's time to put it away.Cons:I found this to be a bit difficult to assemble. My husband ended up finishing the assembly process. I would recommend lining up all needed tools and parts to make it go a little smoother. Not really a "con" but be cautious when applying the stickers, they are meant to last, so they stick really well and it's easy to get an air pocket on the decals.Date published: 2017-02-15
