"if you have a one and two-year-old like I do, you know the struggle of finding toys that don't just end up in the 'ignored' pile after five minutes. We recently got the Step2 Crabbie Sand Table, and it is officially the MVP of our backyard (and breezeway!). Here is why I’m obsessed: Why it’s a Toddler Win • The Height is Perfection: My 1-year-old is just starting to pull herself up, and this is the perfect height for her to cruise around. Meanwhile, my 2-year-old can stand and play without hunching over. It’s the first toy they actually play with together without a total meltdown! • Indestructible: Let’s be real, my kids treat toys like they’re in a demolition derby. This thing is thick, sturdy, and that bright red color is so cute in photos. • The Lid (Bless It): The shell lid is a literal lifesaver. It keeps the rain out and—more importantly—keeps the neighborhood cats from turning it into a litter box. The Secret Weapon: It’s a Snow Table! Okay, here is the best part that I didn't realize at first: it’s not just for summer. Living somewhere where it gets chilly, I was worried we'd have to store it, but we’ve been using it as a Snow Station. Instead of the kids sitting in the freezing wet snow on the ground, I just scoop some fresh snow into the Crabbie basin. • Snow 'Cupcakes': My 2-year-old uses the little sand cups to make 'snow cakes' for me. • Warm Hands: Since they’re standing at the table, their snowsuits stay dry longer, and they don't get that 'butt-freeze' from sitting in a drift. • Winter Proof: I was worried the plastic might crack in the cold, but it’s held up like a champ through some serious freezing temps. The Verdict Whether you fill it with sand, toys, water, or snow, it keeps them entertained long enough for me to actually finish a cup of coffee while it’s still hot. If you have two under two (or close to it), you need this in your life. Mom Hack: If it’s way too cold to be outside, I bring the basin into the kitchen and fill it with toys, bug blocks etc. . It keeps the mess contained and gives me 20 minutes of peace! One improvement suggestion: I would like to see the legs have a “clip in” feature - so they don’t come out as easily. Simply push in the tab to release."

"Really happy with this little Crabbie Sand table. It put together so easily and is really stable once together. My little guy took to it right away. The only downside is that the lid doesn't fully close, it rests on the nubs around the sides, and my 2 year old kept trying to push it down. Its going to make a great addition for outdoor play!"

"My toddler is 2 and he definitely enjoyed this table! As soon as he saw the design of the table it definitely caught his attention and was ready to play. Only negative I would say is that the lid can not be locked in place, but definitely would recommend!"
Great sensory activity
"This cute crab table was super easy to put together. It’s fairly sturdy as my 8 month old pulls up to stand on it however it is slightly bulky around the edges so hard for him to reach the sand. It is perfect for my 2 year old though and keeps him entertained for awhile. Keep in mind you’ll have to purchase the sand separately but before we put sand in we played with water, slime and shaving cream for some fun variety of activities. The plastic is very easy to clean out and sturdy enough to leave outdoors in the elements with falling apart"
