Great little playhouse
"Thank you Step 2 for allowing us to try the Happy Home Cottage and Grill as part of the toy tester program! It was pretty easy assembly, together in about an hour. My 3 year old was so excited and loves the doorbell! I also have a 7 year old who has Down syndrome and she enjoys playing in it as well. The only thing i would change it making it taller. My 3 year old is practically as tall as it, not that it stops her from enjoying it. With how fast kids grow i would just make it taller so they can play with it longer. Otherwise a great little playhouse!"

Fabulous kids house
"This is a great product. It took approximately an hour to put together and only needed 1 person. I had an electric screw driver which really helped. The directions were very clear and easy to follow. The product appears to be sturdy and well made. My 2 1/2 year old daughter was so excited when she saw it put together. She couldn’t wait to play in it. It kept her busy for a long time. Even my 9 year old was excited and played with his sister in it. My daughter loved it so much that she ate dinner in the house. Great playhouse that can be used outside or inside
"Thank you to Step2 for letting me test this item as part of the Step2 toy tester program. First of all, building the house was significantly easier than I expected. Took less than an hour. I did use a drill as there were probably about 20 screws so that or an electric screw driver could be useful when assembling. Instructions were very easy to follow and there were not too many pieces at all. The finished house is great and my daughter loves it. Seems like it will be great for up to 4 kids. Includes a doorbell that rings and lots of other great features for play, including the pretend grill and phone."

Missing screws and stickers
"How hard is your job? All you had to do was put directions and stickers in a box. Because there were no instructions, we had to figure out where the pieces went and halfway put it together because someone was absent on " put the screws in the bag" day. Seriously, not satisfied and now my 3 year old has to wait for screws to get here so she can play in her house safely. Also, no stickers were included for the fireplace, mailbox, clock, or light that is pictured quite clearly on the box."

A must have for toddlers!
"We received this as a gift and my little one (13 months) is in love with it! His favorite thing to do is ring the door bell; it's such a great feature that not all play houses have. I also love that the doorbell sound is not super loud or annoying at all. He also loves to play peek-a-boo while opening and closing the shutters. The added sink and grill are the perfect touch! Although my 13 month old doesn't know exactly the purpose of the sink & grill yet, he loves to play with the faucet and put his toys in the sink while sitting on the built in chair. We also have weekly play dates where a 4 year old and 7 year old also adore playing in the house! I love that this house can be used for many, many years in a child's life. Another feature I love is the built in floor. We currently have the house indoors, but once we place it outside, the built in floor will be perfect. We will be using this for many years to come! Definitely recommend!!"

Adorable house! Perfect for pretend play!
"My daughter absolutely adores this house (and I do too!!)! It's a nice sized house that could either be used inside or outside. It's large enough for my daughter and I to both be inside and play. She loves to open and close the door and shutters and enjoys ringing the doorbell before entering. The sink and faucet is a cute touch! My daughter pretends to wash her hands and enjoys "cooking" up some food on the attached grill. The cute little table and built in seat make for a nice place to sit down to enjoy all that yummy food. The phone is a great accessory to the house. She loves calling grandma and the Disney princesses on the phone, haha. Overall, I couldn't be more happy with this house. In fact, I even like looking at it outside from our kitchen window. It's so cute, it makes me happy just looking at it! A super adorable and girly little house for my daughter. And she couldn't love it any more!"

Darling Cottage, Great for Small Spaces
"My girls received this darling playhouse earlier in the month and now that they've had time to really play inside I feel like I can share a review! The Happy Home Cottage & Grill was smaller than I thought it would be, or smaller than our previous playhouse. I wasn't sure if both girls would fit or have enough room, but honestly, it hasn't been an issue. I like that it takes up very little space in the backyard (we have a small yard), that it is lightweight, easy to move, and it has a built in flooring! Any dirt can easily be swept out or vacuumed on occasion. There is a small area for a child to sit inside, a table/work surface, grill, phone, working doorbell, mail slot and shutters. The colors are adorable and set up took less than an hour. I see hours and hours of imaginative play happening in there!"

Such a FUN playhouse!
"My three year old absolutely LOVES this cottage. We have it outside and she uses it every day! It was easy to assemble even with two kids climbing all over it. I used a screwdriver but a power drill would have made it a little easier and faster. I love that the sides are open and I can see the kids playing while I'm doing other work in the yard. At first I wasn't sure if I'd like the built-in floor but it has drain holes for when it rains which was my main concern. It's also nice that I don't have to worry about my little boy eating leaves or grass while he's in the cottage!The working doorbell is such a fun feature-my daughter makes everyone ring it before they come in. It does take two AAA batteries that aren't included so make sure you pick some up! The mail slot is also lots of fun, and the clock and fireplace stickers add to the playhouse to make it more homey. The shutters and door open and close and are easy for little hands to use. There's a little phone that comes with the cottage and my three year old loves to pretend to talk to her friends while sitting on the built-in seat inside. The grill feature is our favorite and my daughter has already made tons of pretend burgers and hot dogs for us! I like that it's got a pass through window to encourage interactive play with other kids. Overall we love the cottage and grill-it's the perfect addition to our front yard! Perfect Toddler Cottage
"I received the Happy Home Cottage & Grill as part of the Ambassador Program. This cottage is the perfect space-saving playhouse for toddlers! My daughter is 3 years old, and she loves having her very own spot to play that is sized right for her. This cottage is on the smaller side, which makes it great for families who don't have a lot of extra space and for children under 4, and it could also work well in a playroom. The colors are perfect for girly girls, and I love the little extras that are tucked in - the mail slot, a doorbell, shutters that open and close, the little clock on the wall, and the sitting area with a small attached table. My daughter loves sitting beside the window and having "lunches" with her dolls. My favorite feature as a parent is the floor because my kids love kicking their shoes off during play, but outdoors that isn't always a good idea. Because of the floor, they can play with their shoes off and not have to worry about bugs, mud, wet grass, or stepping on rocks. When the floor gets dirty, I can quickly vacuum it out with a hose attachment. Overall, we are super happy with this cottage and plan to keep it around for the next few years. When my daughter gets older we will invest in a bigger one, but for now, it is perfect!"
