Sharp screws!
"This is an adorable toy and easy enough for my 1yo to figure out. But I’m am very concerned about the screws that stick out inside the lid. They are plastic and flat on top, but are still sharp. My son saw them and stuck his hand in right away. The edges on the lid are pretty sharp too. We will probably have to do some sanding. He also got his hand stuck in the heart shaped hole in the door. Solo play is a huge no for this product unless you make some adjustments to it."

Cute but could be pretty quality
"The overall idea is really cute but I don’t think the price and quality align. The size compared to the my first Christmas tree is significantly smaller. It’s also not sturdy, the top comes off which is great for storage but it falls off along with all of the decor just with my toddler touching the wreath. You have to shake or tap the wreath pretty hard to get the lights and music to work, which again results in the top of the house falling off."
Great toy
"I purchased the my first gingerbread house for my 1 year old granddaughter. She has the Christmas tree, snowman and the advent calendar. I had previously purchased a used one because they were no longer available to purchase new. I was so happy that these were rereleased so I purchased a new one for my daughter to take to her house and a 2nd one for when my other daughter has children. We love all step 2 products"
Wish it was better
"For the price, I was expecting something very sturdy, but every time my daughter goes to close the door, the gingerbread house wobbles back and forth. The amount of flash on the product was insane. I had to knife pieces off so it would not hurt her. The door flops out on the bottom where I expected it to latch closed and because it’s hard plastic you cannot bend it to fit. I thought the decorations would fit a bit better but one knock of the house they all fall off. The wreath is cute, but it has to “shake” to make music and light up."
Very poorly made product
"I had ordered the Christmas tree and the gingerbread house for my son's first Christmas. I absolutely love the tree and the sturdiness, but the gingerbread house is not what I expect from a step 2 product. I own many over the years (have 5 children) and I must say this is the most disappointing yet. When u click it into the base it is still very wobbly. It's not sturdy like the tree. The door would have been cuter if it opened to the other side, but I'm assuming that's where to put the gingerbread man. The door down click closed on the bottom, which is another thing I don't like. Only positive thing I have to say is that it's confident that the top of the house comes off to store the pieces so they don't get lost. To think I wanted because it kept selling out just to be disappointed. I would return and try the snowman, but already got ride of the box."
Awesome product
"This Ginger bread house is amazing. Its very kid friendly the pieces are just the right size for small hands. It is bigger than expected an has kept my 23 mth old an 11 mth old entertained for hours multiple days. It's very easy to assemble. the house contains a storage area inside of it for all the pieces to be stored which is really nice. This house also plays music which is very nice . Thank you Step2 for allowing me to test this product as part of the test and reveiw program."
