This holiday season, Step2 partnered with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Lake Erie Monsters for the 2015 Toy Drive. Over the past few weeks, fans were asked to drop off a new, unwrapped toy at any game at Quicken Loans Arena to brighten the holidays for kids in Northeast Ohio.
Yesterday, 100 kids from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Cleveland and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Lorain were the first recipients of these donated toys. They hung out with Cavs players Matthew Dellavedova and Sasha Kaun, shot some hoops on Shootin’ Hoops Junior Basketball Set™, decorated cookies, and played giant-sized board games.
The remainder of the items collected during the Toy Drive presented by Step2 will be given to other non-profit organizations in Northeast Ohio.
Of course, we helped out too and donated $5,000 worth of toys! For more information and to watch a great video of the event, visit nba.com/cavaliers
